Broadcast message

Hello

I need help on the utility of message Boroadcost. Message from Boradcost that I try to run it in the background, it works very well in Production. If I try to work on QA with the same syntax that it does not work.
Please find the below syntax I used.

BroadcastMessage.cmd - f: passwordFile.txt localhost < application name >, < message >; admin.
Location: E:\Hyperion\products\Planning\bin
The passwordFile contains the password encrypted, generated by another utility of planning.

Even I do not get any kind of error on it. It is said that it is executed. but the user does not receive the message... in QA. We use the 11.1.3 version...

Please, help us to check any kind of scanario...

Thank you
Suresh

You can send/receive/manage broadcast messages WHEN the system is in the mode of the UMR. Of course, if the unit can not reach the mail store, it won't deliver messages broadcast to remote servers.

Is there any truth to this? I checked the link to Blackberry and got a message saying that the page was not found.

My favorite is the technical term that they use "very comprehensive."

    It is indeed a hoax.

A hoax message circulating on BlackBerry Messenger (BBM) asks users to message BBM to their contacts in order to maintain the BBM service and claims to have been sent originally by Research In Motion (RIM).

Be assured that this BBM message did not come from the RIM and that it does not affect the security of BlackBerry smartphones. It is simply a string of hoax message. Unfortunately, many social networking applications in the face of this scenario, according to which no message, including a hoax message, can be transmitted to a user of one of their contacts. We recommend that users simply ignore the message and do not convey.

  • Message / spread to other developers for an Application?

    Hi all

In Apex 4.1.1 is there some way you can leave a message for broadcast that would be visible to other developers when they connect to a space and click on 'Edit' on an application?

Asked me to work in an application that has an unspecified number of other people who pop to make small changes / medium / large.

I want to tell them that I begin a review of a major component of the app. Is it possible to broadcast this to the developers when they are connected in the development environment?

Either by the way, anyone knows why I come here as a long string of numbers and letters (8b8036bc-7f68-4eef-9354-3d544bb818c1) rather than the user name that I provided when I register?

    Thanks for any help!

    Hi Pt,

When you log into the developer in the home page is a News area. Here you can enter a broadcast message. (You may need to be an administrator of the workspace).

  • Question about the function of "Messages"

    Hi all

I'm trying to use the feature of Message workspace to inform our users of planning that are connected on downtime etc. While working with the feature, I noticed something-

The broadcast Message is sent by the admin looks like a pop up but only when the user navigates on the current page to another page. He does not appear when the user is working on a dataform and refreshes the data form or things, another option. Depending on how it works now lets say a user is already connected to the planning application and works on a dataform and is just save/update the data in the form of data, it will not see the message at all.

Is there something I'm missing or there at - it another way for the message box is displayed even if the user is hitting refresh? I continued through the broadcast Messages Oracle documentation and it says:

"+ For users connected to the application, the broadcast message displays in their browser the next time they refresh the page or go to another page, if you send the message via the Web or the command line." + »

but it doesn't look like it works when you click Refresh.

Please let me know your opinion on this. Any help is appreciated.

    Thank you.

I think what you see is just the way it works in 11.1.2.1, might be worth totalling a call at Oracle, if you think this is a bug or maybe it has already been addressed.

    See you soon

  • NetGroup:post (), limited bitrate? size of messages?

    Hye,

I read on stratus 2 as 'view message feature' on class NetGroup was planned for the little broadcast message (low speed). But could we have an idea of the maximum potential flow with this method? There is a size limit of message validation or assignment of bitrate limit which undermines the system?

In fact, I would like to that data (ByteArray) broadcasting to many peers, with an average bitrate 96kbit/s

    Is this possible?

    (Sorry for my bad English)

the wording of this quote is ambiguous, sorry.

Application Layer Multicast is designed for a small number of * editors * in a group, where each of them published a continuous stream of data (for example, live video/audio and data with NetStream.send ()).

NetGroup.post () is a more appropriate mode when most or all members of a group will send messages from time to time.

in both cases, the size of the group is (supposed to be) irrelevant.  If you have a group with 1 million members and one of them is the sending/broadcasting/publishing, then NetStream.send () and NetGroup.post () both will work.

There is a trade-off between the two modes.  each message is superior to NetGroup.post () for NetStream.send (multicast).  However, there is a significant overhead (state/memory on each peer) for every NetStream multicast, this is why it is not appropriate for the case of millions:.  NetGroup.post () messages can arrive in a different order than they were sent to peers, NetStream.send () while the messages are received by each peer in the order they were sent.

  • The screen sharing / video conference

    Hey guys,.

I'm trying to understand the best way to share my screen with a number of customers all over the world.

I recently saw that iMessage, now called Messages, can make screen sharing.

So I try to know if everyone can use Messages in order to screen sharing.

It seems that Apple throws their weight behind the app and require their products to broadcast Messages.

But apparently, you can connect with AIM, Google, Facebook, same and other accounts (although I was not able to use Facebook as tells me I have the wrong password... but I did not) Source: s http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/os-x-messages-use-facebook-stop-automatic-emoji-tip /

My question is: is it possible to save a user name and messages without having an Apple product, save work around the AIM, Facebook, Google etc?

Consider that, if I ran on Windows using an emulator... and used my GOAL or other account which is now compatible with the Messages, this is the way to get this working...

Any suggestions? I think I'll really give a batch to people to get this working...

Apple offers for sharing screens are very limited and Mac OS or iOS specific.  Instead, you simply use a service like WebEx or GoToMeeting which aims to do exactly what you are wanting to do.

  • not able to store other numbers of iMessage

I have a friend whose number was always reachable via iMessage on my Mac. He says now that the number is not registered with iMessage. I use a desktop computer that she uses a smart phone. How to know iMessage register his number so that I can use it once more?

    Hello

His smart phone is still an iPhone?

He is yet to broadcast Messages in this case?

In settings > Messages > Send and receive its number always checked?

    The phone is powered?

She is on Wifi or a suitable level of service of his career?

If you were texting (SMS) for her because configure your Forwarding text on your iPhone, then you might need to check it's working if she has always had a different kind of smart phone.

  • UDP communication via secondary ethernet port on the cRIO-9074 problem.

    Hi guys.

I connected my host pc running LV 2010 my cRIO-9074 port using a main ethernet crossover cable. I want to use the second port ethernet on the cRIO-9074 to read UDP messages, and I want to access these messages on my host. UDP messages are sent from a local network, but for testing I also use a second pc running LV 2010 to send UDP messages.

I configured the ethernet on the cRIO-9074 ports according to this tutorial: "knowledge base 4E0DGASK: Configure the Ports of double Ethernet on real-time controllers'." " My host and primary ethernet port belong to 'Subnet A' while the second port and the second computer, sending UDP messages belong to 'Subnet B' (at the end of my post I will list the masks of ip addresses and the subnet).

For simplicity, I used the VI´s of this example as a basis for UDP communication. The "UDPServerOnRemoteTarget.vi", which broadcast messages UDP, will run on the secondary computer. The "UDPClientOnRemoteTarget.vi", which reads messages UDP, will work on my host pc.

Now, in the 'UDPServerOnRemoteTarget' VI, you must specify two IP addresses (port # remained unchanged at 3363):

1: the IP address of the ethernet port that will be broadcast UDP messages.

2: the IP address of the ethernet port that will receive the messages.

In the #1 case I put the IP address to the IP address of the ethernet on the secondary pc port.

At the #2 I tried to set the intellectual property: a) IP address of the secondary ethernet port on the cRIO, b) IP address of the ethernet on my host computer port and c) IP address of the primary ethernet port on the cRIO.

None of the parameters produced results. I also tried to change the port number, which did not help.

However, if I bypass the cRIO and connect the host pc and the secondary computer directly (by using a cable crossed a regular cat5 ethernet cable), I am able to send and receive UDP messages (the two stand-alone always are on different subnets). I guess that this at least excludes any fault in the VI´s code.

Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong here? Is it possible at all to read the UDP messages that are sent to the secondary ethernet port on the cRIO my host pc?

I have searched the entire site OR and forums, but didn't come through all that solved my problem. Most of the other tutorials configuration resembling my case is to import the device sends UDP messages in the project, but which is clearly not possible in my case, or is it?

    My IP settings are:

    cRIO 9074:

    Primary ethernet port: 169.254.62.215

    Secondary ethernet port: 192.168.0.102 (static)

    Host PC: 169.254.58.4

    Secondary PC: 192.168.0.144 (static)

SubnetMask on all ports are the value 255.255.0.0

I hope someone out there can help me out.

    Kind regards

    Phat

    Solved.

Stupid mistake. I was running the VI on the host instead of the cRIO pc, which explains why direct communication between the computers worked. Everything works well when it is compiled for the cRIO.

    Kind regards

    Phat

  • Newbie Help - OME Setup - alert Email does not

    Hello

I try to set up HOME in our Windows domain, but cannot work out why email alerts do not work. Here are the steps that I realized so far:

    • Installed OME v2.0.1.2222 on a server Dell PowerEdge R210 II running Windows Server R2 2012
    • Installed OMSA v8.1.0 on a server Dell PowerEdge R720xd running Windows Server R2 2012
    • The OMSA server, ensure that SNMP interrupts are enabled for all alert & under Alert Actions, enabled Alert on Console & broadcast Message. Platform event filter alert has also enabled
    • Compatible SNMP on both servers and set a unique name for the community & followed the instructions on section "Initial Setup" on the OME itself (what I need to enable ' send trap to authenticate on the server of the OMSA?)
    • On the OME server, configure settings for test purposes, set up to send alerts for all devices & categories & e-mail alert
    • Discovery of the network enabled on servers and made sure that network discovery & & Traps SNMP Service are defined as applications are allowed on the Windows Firewall
    • I sent an e-mail message to test from the server of the OMSA and it happens to the designated mailbox

I can see alerts when I go on manage-> alerts on server for the server of OMSA OME, but no emails get releases by agencies.

    What Miss me?

I'm having the same problem as you when I create an alert with the name action: "All issues" with another name works as it should.

This probably has something to do with the fact that there is a view log of alerts with the same name.

V5 is a lot more about correct configurations that v4 was, which is why some things than v4 that slide will produce an error during upgrade to v5. Obviously there is something in your time zone settings that he allowed to v4, but like v5.

A conf "sho" on your sensor v4 and near the top of the page (just after the IP addresses), check all do in the section "timeParams". My guess is you have some parts here, but at the very least, you have not defined a DST zone name. You can set everthing correctly under here by running "setup" in the CLI, and when it asks you if you want to "Change the system clock settings" answer Yes and work your way through the guests. Then try the upgrade again and let us know how you go.

If the error persists, please cut and paste your timeParams section and we'll see what happens.
