Broken Apple ID

Apple ID my wife is broken, and it has been for some time. I'm really looking for someone who has seen this problem before and actually fixed it.  I have long looked for a solution and not found a solution that is tailored for his account.

His account is as if she has two layers of authentication and one is successful and failure on the other. I suspect it has something to do with iCloud authentication.

This will take a bit of explanation, but bear with me. A few facts:

  • I just bought an iPhone 6s for her yesterday
  • My wife already had an iPhone 4
  • I saved his iPhone 4 with iTunes (no iCloud - tried Apple wanted me to pay more space - no thanks) and restored iPhone 6 s.
  • IPhone 4 and iPhone 6 had problems with accessing his account. I can log into it from iTunes on PC and on the web, but when you connect from a phone in the music or App Store apps, it does weird things:
    • If the wrong password is entered all requiring the connection Apple ID (music / App Store), it says "authentication failed". As expected.
    • If the password is entered in the same case, the logon dialog box goes away then comes back upward, as if authentication failed, but he never says "authentication failed".
    • The 6s made above, and I'm sure that the 4 did before when I tried to fix it a few months ago and almost took a hammer to the thing.
  • On the 6s if I try to go to one of these places in the settings, the settings app hangs then crashes (i.e. disappears)
    • Settings-> iCloud
    • Settings-> iTunes and App Store
  • If I open Safari, it crashes just the new page screen (with the + at the bottom, but the buttons are unresponsive)
  • If I try to "reset all settings".
    • Enter a PIN of 4 incorrect digits for the phone makes me an installed password attempt "Failed."
    • Enter the correct 4-digit PIN makes the screen to enter the code PIN go as if the password is correct, then it happens immediately and the attempt failed counter has increased. This is essentially what is happening by entering the password (No PIN) Apple ID in iTunes and the App Store.
  • I tried to reset her password on the web.
    • I received an e-mail on his phone messaging (at least it works...)
    • If I click on the link reset in the email, nothing happens (I guess because Safari is locked whenever it is executed)
    • If I copy the link, I still can't use it because Safari hangs at startup and I can't navigate anywhere
    • I tried the app Store to download Chrome, but the GET is gray.

His phone all new and very expensive is virtually unusable at the moment. This is the second time I tried to solve this problem and let's say I have a lot of experience with computers. I found similar questions in the search for a solution, but never a solution that worked.

If I don't get this problem fairly quickly, I'm back this brick. I work every day with Android. I expect better from iOS.

Given that the 6s iPhone does not work in any case, have you considered setting up as a new iPhone? Do not restore, I mean, set up as new?

    the iPhone may be served only in the country where it was purchased. Nothing strange in this situation. You can ask your friends or relatives in US to take your device at the Apple Store it.

    Currently with music music/iCloud Apple library there are "issues" of the way in which it matches music files. There are many discussions here and in other forums on this particular issue. Apple knows about the problem and are working on a solution - had this from two different technicians to Apple BTW. But when it will be resolved is anybody's guess.

But I was not prompted to confirm that I want to import books from iTunes and I think he broke my library of books to iCloud. Another glaring annoyance is, while in the finder, perusing my iCloud drive, I don't see books. However, I added an ePub after this debacle and the new ePub syncs to my iPhone & iPad. Where is it apple? What did you do with my stuff?

    In response to my post, I found a solution/work around.

    Open iBooks and select books

    Go to system preferences-> iCloud

    Click options, and clear the check box next to iBooks

    Then recheck iBooks.

    iBooks will be asked if you want to use iCloud and re - sync all your goodies. Hope this helps someone, somewhere.

    Since that is new iPad and iPhone one last week, with iOS 9.3.4, I can't rely on iCloud (iCloud Drive) for synchronization between these devices and my iMac on docs or entries that I create in Pages, Numbers, calendar, Contacts, Notes, reminders.

    With no synchronization goes, I am now frustrated with Apple based applications.  The only solution is to buy a new iMac that can do El Capitan for iCloud to synchronize?

    My 2008 iMac cannot go beyond the latest version of Yosemite.  Even apps that I continue to use without problems - except iCloud who can't do what it should.  According to me, only yosemite on the iMac in 2008, was made bankrupt by the last iOS.

    That's the problem - unless someone has found a workaround.  Without a functional iCloud, sync that I've been waiting for has disappeared.  I need to change how to manage what I do on the devices and the computer.

    I would like to find a way to "merge" safe documents created in these applications on both devices and the computer. Initially a merger will have duplicates.  I can't let the docs on any device replace the docs on the other.

    To avoid any loss of docs on any device and computers, I'm afraid to try to use iTunes.  So I won't try it.  Maybe I need to go "manual" and look at the files on each and do the merge manually, by sending an e-mail.  Help!  I discovered this by accident and now that I look closer I see that synchronization does not occur.

    Any Mac that can run in Yosemite can run El Capitan. Early 2008 iMacs can run El Capitan.

    So Thursday I went to apple to fix my display screen. The next day I went to pick it up and they gave me a new phone. It worked fine for like 1 1/2 hours or more.     The last time it worked for me in this particular McDonald's was about 2 weeks ago. I use it in this McDonalds since Apple pay was released. What is really irritating, it's that the guy working the counter said that they do not pay Apple, claims that they have never and I need to contact Apple to Apple go pay.     If Apple pay working at McDonald's is their problem. You would need to report to their headquarters. Apple has nothing to do with the participation of the particular restaurant, or does not work due to the individual terminal.

I think that the reason is the place damaged near connector for iPhone that could be easily folded frequently during the loading and reading.
