• WiFi to my Time Capsule still degrades 2.4 GHz instead of 5 GHz

  Your Time Capsule is not downgraded to 2.4 GHz at all, it's always the production both a 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz network at any time. That's why's called it a double router broadband simultaneously .  Wireless devices will be automatically connect at 5 GHz or 2.4 Gz based on their own abilities and their distance from the time Capsule.

  5 GHz signals are 'faster' signals, but they are also 'weaker' signals, so you no longer have a lot of success with 5 GHz when wireless devices are in the same room or have line-of-sight to the time Capsule. Once a device moves a piece or more away from the time Capsule, the device 'sees' the stronger 2.4 GHz signal here and commute to 2.4 Ghz for the connection stronger.

  Unfortunately, once a device powered 2.4 GHz, usually not going to happen 5 GHz unless you temporarily disable WiFi on the device and then turn it on again. If the device "sees" a 5 GHz signal strong enough, then it will connect to this network.

  If you want devices to connect at 5 GHz, using an option to assign a different name for the 5 GHz network, you can "point" or "force" devices to connect to this signal.  The downside to this, is that you also need manually "perpendicular to the" 2.4 GHz devices if they are located a few rooms away... • Advice required - what UI component to a data browser application

  I am building a data browser application and to display a row of data for each item in the database in one window scrolling.  I wonder advice on what user interface component to use.  OS 5.0 or later only.

  The app will have at least 500 lines of data - maybe more up to a mile or two.  So I'm afraid that if I load all the data in a ListField or ObjectListField I'll use scads of memory to display the data - which most scrolls off the screen.

  I could page the next page of data instead of scrolling dynamically, but that degrades the user experience.  I could build a data reader multi-threaded which fills a video page before and reduced the amount of data contained in the list at any time - but hope that there is a better way.

  Advice appreciated...

  This isn't an answer to the question that is asked but, you mentioned the quality of the experience 'user' as a factor, so here it goes...

  Unless it is a scientific application, I submit respectfully that the average user does not scroll on lines of 500-1000 of data, regardless of the nature of the UI container.

  How about a query/filter front page, for example as the OS5 built in search of e-mail, perhaps associated with a sort function... to cut the results to a reasonable number, then present in a list field... who can easily manipulate for example, 100 records.

• SWF does not appear when you go back to the tab browser

  I had a report of strange bug on a web application that we develop.

  The SWF looks fine for the most part, but it's the user has several tabs open the browser moves to a different tab and then returned to the tab with the swf, swf file does not appear until the mouse scrolls on the swf.

  At first glance it looks like the swf is not redrawn until the user with her intereacts (we do a fair amount of mosue on election).  There she crept to save memory, the browser stops displaying the image and not redeisplay not until we explicitly have to redraw the scene.

  Has anyone meet a similar situyation?  I don't know where to start with this.

  Some potentially relevant aspects of the swf file:

  Most of the objects on the stage have chachAsBitmap set to true and that we apply a mask degraded to most of the scene, so there is a good amount of ongoing treatment and I know thishas caused a few other quirks to redraw.
  The pace is on a very slow 4 frames per second and film is flown by a timmer.

  your pace should be significantly with fp 11.2 + opening another tab.  the pace should return to normal when your new swf focus.

  You can use throttleevent from the scene to detect these events.

• jpg degraded quality of swf into HTML

  I have a simple Flash project.  It includes images of jpg with text on them.  When I export and click on the SWF locally, the quality is very clear.  When I opened the html file to display the swf file embedded, the quality degrades severely.  Is there anything I can do to help with this?

  This is the file html with images degraded (most notable in the text).  If you browse through, you will see a part of the text is really hard to read, where if I display the swf file locally it is perfectly clear.  In the settings I have jpg quality set to 100 per cent of publication.

  It seems to me that the .swf is shrunk way down when placed on the Web page. The narrowing distorts at the bottom of the text. Show the dimensions are 1000 x 600, but my guess is that the original dimensions of the Stadium are close to 1000 x 800. Play the .swf directly displays much more content and the text seems fine. But decreases the height of 600 and to maintain the proportions... shrink things down... including the text, which distort the text.

  Switch the display size 1000 x 800 (or what was your original stage height) and note the improvement of the quality.

  If you only want a high .swf 600, adjust the height of the scene at 600 and adjust content accordingly... do not shrink the .swf once it's on the Web page.

  Also get rid of all this style of W/H 100% in the, and the 'scale' param, you don't want to evolve this .swf because issues of text.

  I just got a new macbook pro that I allocated GB 401 on my bootcamp for windows xp partition, and I put Photoshop CS3 (windows version) on this partition, which about 80-90 GB is used while the rest is space free space. I also put my photo on this partition folders/files, and when I run the Photoshop application, I get this dialog box when I click on 'File' > 'Browse' (see image).

  It does not properly detect some most likely SSE extensions, but don't let it stop you. It's just a side effect of computers becoming too recent for 3 year old software.   I actually noticed the opposite. The unifying software does not have an update for Mac OS Sierra until 22 September for my mouse had been delayed everywhere and buttons upstream and downstream were not working. But once I downloaded the update 26, mouse movements eventually smooth out.

  If you wish to have your windows minimize, in the same place on the dock, whenever you might consider enabling the option reduce Windows in the system preferences application icon > Dock.
