BSOD on Satellite Pro L450

Hi guys,.

After getting nowhere with the blue screen of death, I had an out of the box to reinstall but still the same BSoD
What do you suggest me

Hmmmm... After the installation of recovery something like that should not happen, unless there is a hardware problem.
Have you done something that may be responsible for this? A hardware upgrade?

It seems that the recovery disks for European Toshiba, laptop models can be shipped to countries in the EMEA region only.

However, you can try to install the Win 7 OS own on this laptop.

  • Satellite Pro L450: Wireless card missing or did not exist

    Hello, pls I need help

the light wireless always off I do not know what happened? and the function keys Fn + F8 doesnot work I install add package and this doesnot solve the problem

My guess is that just failed your wireless hardware.

Windows does not display the device driver if it does not find the hardware.

See this thread where I make various suggestions and tips:
    http://forums.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=65938&TSTART=0

Probably the best thing to do is to buy a USB Wireless Lan.

  • I can't reboot my Satellite Pro L450 - 17L

OK, before we get into the problem itself, I would like to say that I have not a clue about computers and laptops, etc. So I appreciate without jargon and please keep guides so a fish absolutely uneduated could understand haha.

Basically, one day I decided that I had enough of my * Toshiba Satellite Pro L450 - 17 L * go really slow, so I went to restore the disc and I do not remember how I did it. Anyway, everything seemed to be fine until it came with a white screen after reboot fully say PLEASE WAIT Finishing installation may take several minutes. Please do not interrupt or shut down the computer!

I think that at this stage of my laptop turned off because he needs to be plugged in at all times and the coward comes from charger (this is because the battery has been completely drained) and now all I have is a guest account and not other accounts either! I cannot restart the laptop because of this and was hoping if someone could tell me another way I can restart because I can't believe that this is the only way.

Any help and guides are very appreciated!

EDIT: I forgot to mention that this white screen appears everytime now and never goes away!

    >... and I don't remember how I did it
To be honest, it is not easy to say on this issue and in my opinion, you should install recovery image after description on http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/HTD1303440001R02.htm

Don't do anything until your laptop is connected to the power running.

  • Satellite Pro L450 - 13 M - Webcam driver open failed

    I am running Windows 7 with a Satellite Pro L450 - 13M.

My webcam just stopped being recognized by one of the programs on my system. Skype, Toshiba camera etc etc. One day it was fine, a little later when I tried to use it again once it is stopped. I only use it for Skype usually, so I have no weird imaginative bit of software that could get in the way.

Uninstalled the Toshiba camera software, uninstalled the drivers. Reinstalled the software of the camera - although there seems to be about 400 slightly different versions. I think I have the right one. TC30049700E.

Windows 7 has resolutely reinstalling the drivers by itself when I boot. He puts on Sonix 5.8.54.1 driver. If I look at the details, there is a list of 6 files, which look reasonable.

Checked the device manage, who says "this device is functioning correctly. The problem is, this is a lie!

Curiously, the microphone works well (I thought this was an integral part of the webcam).

What I would really like to do is to separately install the device driver, without the software package any camera.

But to be honest all ideas are welcome. It is very irritating and I'm running out of ideas and I'm about to go far company for 2 weeks and I use Skype to talk to my children. I'm kind of semi technically as you can see, but are not fluent, and Windows 7 is new to me. The laptop came with it, and the webcam was working fine when I bought it at the end of February.

    Hi tsgcjcs,

At the moment, I can t imagine that this is linked to the new version of BIOS... Usually new versions of BIOS fix problems so I think it was just no chance with the BIOS update and webcam
But if you want an older version of BIOS, you can get it from an authorized service provider. As far as I know, they have all the old versions of BIOS.

But before that, try to update the webcam software/driver. First delete and restart your laptop. Then use CCleaner to clean the Windows registry and reboot again. Now, you download and install the latest driver from here:
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com > support & downloads > download drivers

As far as I know your model belongs to the series of PSLY1E, then check the page and try this!

  • Re: Satellite Pro L450 - 13P - CD / DVD does not auto play

    Hello

Recently, I've provided a customer with a new Satellite Pro L450 - 13P (Windows 7 Professional). He came back to me the a few days saying it was a great laptop but CD / DVD will not auto play. I googled this problem and I tried all kinds of solutions suggested, including the various changes of registry, uninstall and reinstall the device DVD driver, unchecking and rechecking always use AutoPlay box everything has failed.

I have a Toshiba Satellite A200 (Vista) and thought I would try to insert an automatic game disc in my drive. To my astonishment, my laptop had developed the same problem, it used to auto play, but now it doesn't.

Any assistance people can give me in this matter is accepted with gratitude.

    Thank you very much
    Mark

    Hi Mark

As far as I know autoplay can be set to Autoplay settings (Control Panel).
There you can define what should happen when you insert each type of media or device.
For example, I have all the options set to ask me every time.
Have you tried to change these settings?

Have you tested with different media?

If you have noticed that mean the same thing on your laptop computer you have tested with the same support as your client?

  • Satellite Pro L450 - automatic change of data encryption

    Hello
I wonder if anyone can help with a problem I have with a Satellite Pro L450.

I work in a school and we have a WiFi network. In a particular area, we have 4 laptops that connect to the network wireless without any problem. The problem I have is that the L450 continues to lose its connection and when I look at the properties of the connection, WEP form (which we use) has changed data encryption to WPA - PSK alone. I remove then completely and add it again the network connection and set it to wep and enter my WEP and try to connect.

In the wireless box, then pronounce the name of my network and not connected says, but at the bottom of the box, it says disconnect? If I then go back to the properties, once more data encryption has changed itself from WEP to WPA - PSK.

I would be very grateful for any help.
    Thank you
    Paul

    Hey Buddy,

Which is really strange, but I m wondering your school uses non-secure WEP encryption

In any case, I recommend an update of page of Toshiba WLAN driver. This might solve your problem:
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/WLAN/

But before you install the new driver I recommend to remove the old version first.

  • Satellite Pro L450 - 16 M - problem with WIFI and Webcam

    Hey guys

At first, I'm sorry for my bad English. Last time I heard about 20 years ago at school.
    Here's my problem:
I have a Toshiba Satellite Pro L450 - 16M. My OS is Windows7 32 Bit und my router is called Easybox 602.
Whenever I use my Chicony USB 2.0 Webcamin Skype or other Onlineapplications my Wlan is turned off.

I can't turn off and turn on before I restarted my computer. I think I downloaded the latest driver
from this page. I also fixed my system with the recovery CD. Please help me!

    Welcome them
    Sascha

    Hello

So with other words webcam and WIFI are not usable more right?
You wrote that you did an installation of recovery using Toshiba Recovery disk: all devices recognized and listed correctly in the Device Manager? Please check this box.

Generally the wireless network card can also be enabled by using the FN + F8 key combination.

If webcam doesn t work I would like to reinstall latest driver of the webcam of the official website of Toshiba.

  • Satellite Pro L450 - network without WIRE Realtek RTL8191SE adapter: limited access

    Hello

Hoping you can help me with my problem with the wifi connection.

    OS: Windows 7
Wireless adapter: Realtek RTL8191SE Wireless LAN adapter
    Laptop: Toshiba Satellite Pro L450
    Wireless router/modem: Cisco

When I turn on the laptop the wifi connection can work for 10-30 minutes, but then the down network access but remains connected with limited access.
Then restart the connection will have access limited the offset.
In addition, sometimes the available wireless connections do not show in the networks available on the windows toolbar.
When you use the Ethernet cable connected to my router there is no problem.

I have searched the forums for help on this and have already tried without success, the following

Updated driver: issue date may 2010
Verify that TCP/IP has been installed to automatically obtain the IP and DNS
    Disabled firewall
    Reset the modem
Countless reboots of the modem and the laptop

Wireless modem/router works perfectly as I can connect with other devices and laptops.
Is it a problem that we see on a regular basis with this combination of laptop card / without wire/operating system?
Would appreciate any guidance you can give me as it becomes very frustrating.

    Thank you

    Kieran

    Hello

I see you didn't check the BIOS!
Here you can compare the BIOS with the version update available.
If you have an older version of the BIOS on the laptop, then an update would be recommended.
Once the update to the BIOS it defined it please to the default settings (press BIOS F9 and save)!

    By the way:
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/WLAN/?page=downloads
Here you can find the latest WLan driver
It s v.2015.1.0427.2010 at the moment

PS: I hope that Windows 7 is up to date...

  • BSOD on Satellite Pro L300

    Hello world

I've been using my * 28W Satellite Pro L300 * since 2 years now, and since the last summer he ain't no fun.

The laptop suffers * BSOD * one after one, making the job impossible. BlueScreenView, it is especially halmacpi.dll who is responsible, and the error code is * 0 x 124 *, which is for material that I know.

I've tried everything described on various forums, including virus and rootkit search, updated all drivers and BIOS, checked the base with SpeedFan temperature - everything seems OK, but always reappears the BSOD. I have nothing overclocked, running Windows 7 32 bit with all latest updates.

There is no BSOD when booting in safe mode. If anyone has some thoughts on this, I'll be happy to see them!

    Hello

Have you tested the mobile functionality with clean operating system preinstalled (original toshiba recovery image)?

  • 10 windows on old Satellite Pro L450

Interesting time to do an Upgrade of Windows with an old book L450 - 17K - 10 first, it did not work, so used USB recovery, is returned to Windows 7, then updated up to 10 windows once again, even once, it didn't work but recovery USB has recreated the recovery Partition , so then restarted by pressing F8 (interesting that the new recovery Partition seems quite different than on recovery USB says by the way). Instead wait for the updates of Windows, downloaded Windows 10 directly using the Windows Media Creator then installed immediately - this time, it works. But then I wanted to transfer the BONES of an Evo Samsung SSD 840 - prevented by the magician software which does not recognize the windows 10, so had to use Macrium Reflect, cloning all partitions where they are. But it came out oddly enough because there is an extra drive that is very small, and the recovery Partition has been cloned on and takes too much space, so think using Partition Wizard to reduce the recovery Partition to the minimum size (it would still have been installed on the SSD?) and merge with C (where Onedrive is). But leaving this curious G Drive, which is very low and seems to be empty (it contains an empty folder called Recovery). It's all the experiments that have been slowed down, when in fact the Windows 10 now works pretty well on the SSD, while spikes in processor Celeron to 100%, the machine to freezing quite often when asked to do a lot of things - prob not a very good processor. It has 4 GB of RAM and seems to work ok for simple office type tasks and navigation, but the video freezes if too many windows are open. Can't optimize SSD or use the FAST because it does not recognize Windows 10 - which is the problem of Samsung I think. There was a mention somewhere on the dangers of having the wrong kind of calibration for the operating system on an SSD and who need to adjust it, but hopefully crucial scores exactly one by one using Reflect cloning that would avoid - it seems to work very well anyway.
the computer management screen is lower to-adjust using Partition Wizard maybe. Not really a question here just comments, so dull excuse, any thoughts of making it work as effectively as possible welcome. The old operating system is on the old still to HARD drive.

Correction - these are the views of this PC and before and after - computer management the first is the disc prior to migration, with Onedrive on drive C and the recovery on the D drive partition.

The second is the disk after the migration, the third is this PC after migration (including details of MicroSD storage added later). System G, on exploration, a folder named "Recovery", which, once opened is empty.

D the data contain the recovery Partition. Onedrive data is in C.

  • Updated by Satellite Pro L450 with SSD

Any advice on installing a SSD 128 GB in place and place of the hard drive, use this for the operating system (Windows 7) and put the old HDD in the optical drive slot to serve as storage.

Is this easy to do on this model, and a new facility would be wiser than cloning?

There is no files on the drive apart from the operating system that must be preserved - all documents etc. are on googledrive, dropbox and onedrive.

Adjustments will have to be made when you perform a new installation to keep the recovery on D files?

Earlier, I created a system restore disk - does that include Windows 7, or would I need to download it and get the license number.

Is it fairly easy to connect and use the USB "System Restore" to re - load Windows?

    Thanks for all the answers

It s a good idea to replace the HARD drive with SSD drive.
You will definitely get a boost huge performance.
I did these updates in the past, and my laptop runs a lot faster.

But the question is whether the HARD drive would be recognized by BIOS placed in ODD Bay.

To be honest I n don't know if this will be possible since the laptop does not support the special feature of selection-Bay. In the past, some other laptops Toshiba Tecra and Portege series supported these updates (HARD drive in the Bay of WEIRD) but I'm not very well on laptops Satellite m.

Of course, you can try these updates, but in the worst cases the HARD drive will not be recognized by the BIOS if you put in the ODD Bay

  • Satellite Pro L450 - 17K - expandability RAM and HARD drive

Can someone help me find out what the actual amount of system ram memory can be installed using windows 7 64 bit? As far as I can tell it is 4 GB or more? What is "more"?

What of the hard disk, what is the maximum size that I am able to install and for which type such as sata etc.

According to specification notebok your ant Satellite Prohas Mobile Intel GL40 Express Chipset it can handle with 4 GB RAM max.
Unfortunately there is no specific info on the upgrade of the HARD drive, but it is SATA HDD, which means up to 400 or even 500 GB should not be a problem.

I advise you to buy a 300 GB HARD drive and I think it will be more tan enough to upgrade the HARD drive.
    What do you think?
