BSOD Windows 8 w/Netflix

My daughter has been making BSOD on his computer for more than a year, mainly by watching Netflix and having various other active windows.

Recently, she got the BSOD anytime and anywhere, but it's still essentially with Netflix; sometimes watching videos on other sites.

Windows 8 Apps (Netflix, Hulu, Youtube, TuneIn) will not leak

I have advanced and updated the OS on my ASUS G76VW-DS71 to Windows 8. Everything seems to work fine, except for on the thing:

None of the applications (Hulu Plus, Netflix, Youtube, TuneIn) continuous flow actually do anything. The apps will turn on and I can select a video, but when I press on play streaming won't start (Netflix get stuck on 97%). I can listen to all the services if I use a web browser but not Windows 8 applications. In addition, the Skype app stops immediately when you try to open it.

Any ideas is what is the cause and how to fix it?

The Windows Firewall will allow apps to pass through. I also disabled, but it did not help.

    I solved it!

It was my video card driver. I have an ATI Radeon HD 4870 and I * was * installed Catalyst Legacy 12.6 of driver for Windows 8. Then I ran the Windows Installer of catalyst 8 version and select uninstall to remove all driver AMD components. Rebooted as directed, and installed a Windows driver. This driver allowed video!

Then I tried to reinstall the version of Windows 8 of the Catalyst driver - and did not yet reading!

I'm going to do some further study and update this post.

    Update:

The driver that Windows installs that works is "ATI Radeon HD 4800 Series (Microsoft Corporation - WDDM v1.1)", dated 19/06/2012, version 8.97.10.6.

The driver provided by the supposed Windows 8 Catalyst driver package is "ATI Radeon HD 4800 Series", dated 07/03/2012, version 8.970.100.3000. For control purposes, I installed just the driver, not the software.

Immediately after installation (no reboot was required) Netflix then gives an error code that there is a problem with the internet connection. Of course, the internet connection is fine.

When I reboot, Netflix returns to its State at the death-to - 97%.

Yes, up to what AMD Gets their act together:

    1. Uninstall your video driver using uninstaller AMD.
    2. Let Windows Installer for you.
    3. If you want other AMD software, run the catalyst on Custom Installer and make sure that the AMD display driver is not selected.

    You have several questions.

1 - this one accident was linked to Redlight. sys with description BufferZone Kernel Module is a driver file of the BufferZone belonging to BufferZone product company.  That needs to be removed (at least for testing)

    2 - cumon

Associated cumon.sys driver filter system provider (R) Win 7 kit Windows DDK CRCMon (it's a minor issue)

    3 - cmuda.sys related to cmuda.sys C-Media Audio Driver (WDM). YOURS IS 2002

    How to find drivers:

-Google search for the name of the driver
-compare Google results with what is installed on your system to determine on what device/program, it belongs to
-Visit the web site of the manufacturer of the hardware or program to get the latest drivers (do not use Windows Update or Device Manager Update Driver function).
s ' there is difficult to locate them, post back with questions, and someone will try and help you find the right program

  • Windows install silverlight netflix failure

A couple of days my Netflix started running slow and sound was intermittent.  That evening, I noticed that You Tube not work indicating that I had to load Adobe Flash player.  I did, and You tube came back fine.  Late in the evening, I went with Netflix and they recommended that I reload Silverlight after uninstalling it.  I tried to uninstall it, but couldn't so I tried to reinstall it and a message says that it was already installed.  I started a complete analysis with Microsoft Security essentials and went to bed.  Security Essentials has not finished scanning.  The next morning I wake to a frozen desktop.  I could not start Security Essentials and I can not install or uninstall anything.  I can't drag or copy and paste files to get away from this laptop.  Tried safe mode and did a restore to ten days earlier.  That seems to be going OK but it doesn't really have anything fixed.  Still can not drag, drop or copy - paste or send anywhere.  I really need to get my safe files so I can reload Windows or fix it somehow.  Also the Internet Explore has disconnected and not start or connect in any way to the DSL Modem.  I got this laptop to a friends house and wireless not connect either.  Any ideas?

    Hello

    1. do you get an error message trying to copy and paste any file or just trying to open the browser?
    2. were you able to copy and paste files without any problem in safe mode?

Step 1: If you are able to copy and paste files without any problem in safe mode then try to perform the clean boot on the computer.

Put your boot system helps determine if third-party applications or startup items are causing the problem.

  • BSOD Windows 7 even after formatting

Windows 7 64-bit, 8 GB of ram DDR3, GT650m laptop, suffering from BSOD. I already have the minidump file but I don't know yet how to analyze them. I ask with you guys like the usual teehee.

These accidents were related to the corruption of memory (probably caused by Symantec).

Run these two tests to check your memory and find which driver is causing the problem.  Launch auditor.  You don't need to run memtest again unless the auditor is not the cause, or you want to.

If you are overclocking anything reset by default before running these tests.
In other words STOP! If you don't know what it means that you're probably not

  • Another BSOD - Windows 7 64 bit

Hey guys, have a portable game that was making BSOD recently. GeForce 660 M, i7 processors (all unparked). Heres my dmp file to a disk: https://onedrive.live.com/redir?resid=9B8673FC96561BF4! 124 & authkey =! AN1zYCjgYKDxe5w & ithint = the file % 2cdmp

PLEASE HELP ME! I do not think it is a hardware problem, could be a pilot.

    Hello

References to Vista also apply to Windows 7.

This is my generic how updates of appropriate driver:

This utility, it is easy see which versions are loaded: run DriverView - set the VIEW to hide
Microsoft drivers - update those without drain in their names. (Also update the BIOS and the weak)
level chipset drivers on the site of the constructor/the system motherboard.)

-Free - DriverView utility displays the list of all device drivers currently loaded on your system.
For each driver in the list, additional useful information is displayed: load address of the driver,
Description, version, product name, company that created the driver and more.
    http://www.NirSoft.NET/utils/DriverView.html

For drivers, visit manufacturer of emergency system and of the manufacturer of the device that are the most common.
Control Panel - device - Graphics Manager - note the brand and complete model
your video card - double - tab of the driver - write version information. Now, click on update
Driver (this can do nothing as MS is far behind the certification of drivers) - then right-click.
Uninstall - REBOOT it will refresh the driver stack.

Repeat this for network - card (NIC), Wifi network, sound, mouse, and keyboard if 3rd party
with their own software and drivers and all other main drivers that you have.

Now in the system manufacturer (Dell, HP, Toshiba as examples) site (in a restaurant), peripheral
Site of the manufacturer (Realtek, Intel, Nvidia, ATI, for example) and get their latest versions. (Look for
BIOS, Chipset and software updates on the site of the manufacturer of the system here.)

Download - SAVE - go to where you put them - right click - RUN AD ADMIN - REBOOT after
    each installation.

Always check in the Device Manager - drivers tab to be sure the version you actually install
presents itself. This is because some restore drivers before the most recent is installed (sound card drivers
in particular that) so to install a driver - reboot - check that it is installed and repeat as
    necessary.

Repeat to the manufacturers - BTW in the DO NOT RUN THEIR SCANNER device - check
    manually by model.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.
    http://pcsupport.about.com/od/driverssupport/HT/driverdlmfgr.htm

Installation and update of drivers to 7 (updated drivers manually using the methods above is)
to ensure that the latest drivers from the manufacturer of system and device manufacturers are are preferably)
    http://www.SevenForums.com/tutorials/43216-installing-updating-drivers-7-a.html

If you update the drivers manually, then it's a good idea to disable the facilities of driver under Windows
Updates, this leaves ONE of Windows updates, but it will not install the drivers who will be generally
be older and cause problems. If updates offers a new driver and then HIDE it (right click on it)
and then go look for new ones manually if you wish.

Tests of memory intercept all errors such as memory do not match (possible even for sticks
seemingly identical) and when the faster memory is placed in system behind the slower memory.
So it is best to Exchange also sticks in and out to check for those, even if all the tests of memory do not
    show a problem.

  • How do you get the subtitles to work in Windows Media Center Netflix?

I have Windows 7 64 Home Premium with Windows Media Center for a Home Theater Personal Computer.  I can watch Netflix streaming movies with subtitles using IE8 or IE9 and Silverlight, but may not know how to activate in Windows Media Center.  The always cheerful and almost all means useful Netflix Customer Service says only Microsoft can manage Netflix plugin for Windows Media Center issues.

No support to do this from Microsoft, does anyone know how to do this?

    Hi keepitsimple.

This feature is not currently supported in Netflix for Windows Media Center. If you want to apply, you can contact Netflix to let them know:
    I hope this helps.

    3. Finally, I tried to end the Windows session before rebooting my machine and then I rebooted successfully without a BSOD.  After disconnecting...   CTRL + DELETE to log on...  Then a box will appear so that you can restart or shut down your machine.  I chose the reboot and the system has rebooted without a BSOD.

    4. I will continue with this procedure to restart my machine and if I'm not getting any BSOD I will consider this issue resolved.

Thank you very much for your support...

Regarding the new DMP file, it was related to e1c62x64.sys Gigabit adapter NDIS 6.x driver of Intel Corporation (yours is 3 years old).  I remove and install the most recent available.
