  • Trying to update Camera Raw on my extended CS6 9.1.1... Help?

I bought a new computer and that you have installed LR6 and Extended CS6 via disc, but my Camera Raw will not work. He said: it needs to be updated. I go to HELP > UPDATES... and he's going through the motions, but I get an error message saying update failed with error log... Then a bunch of error codes... I tried to uninstall and start again, but without this help.

I looked through the forum of similar problems, and it seems to help to remove AdobeUpdaterAdmin or something in that sense and I have in my files. I don't know what else to do. Help, please. I want to use Camera Raw for some pictures published as soon as POSSIBLE.

    Thank you

I suggest that you try to download Camera Raw on the following Web site and install it manually. Let us know if that helps.

  • Camera Raw Panel Options with some cameras

I have CC 2015. When I open a bridge raw file in Camera Raw, I see a bunch of sliders on the right (color balance, exposure, etc., etc.). However, some of the pictures of a certain photographer who uses a Canon EOS 5 d Mark III camera, have what looks like a set of sliders in Camera Raw much older. Looks like Camera Raw options I had several versions ago when I open the raw files from my Nikon SLR. Also, I noticed that the options aren't always the same thing with different shoots of the same photographer. In addition, when I bought a new camera from Nikon, I noticed that options in Camera Raw has been a little different from the one they were older photo with my camera.

What causes this? I searched the web and can't find any info about it anywhere. How are the options in Camera Raw controlled? This is the firmware of the camera? This is the software used to get the pics off the camera? Is this other thing? Please tell me how it works, I can tell the photographer what to do about it.

Click on the Calibration of the camera, select the process version.  2012 is the last with all the sliders.  If your friend PS is old enough it maybe not 2012 as an option.  Also old raw images may have been addressed in an earlier version, can click the question exclamation mark down for updating to the last process.

  • Photoshop and Camera Raw or not with editing Sony RAW files?

I still read a lot of comments and forums that Photoshop and Camera RAW are not good to convert and edit files Sony RAW (ARW). Is there a reason for this? Or is it just not biased opinions?

I received recommendations for another program that is supposed to do a better job than the two, but still hesitant to use, I like to use what I already know...

So, what's your response to that?

    TIA

    Hi rfe777,

The Applications CC with Lightroom and Photoshop CC are good software to work with Sony's RAW files.

And also, they provide a good result when working in Camera Raw.

    Kind regards

Can someone point me in the direction of a download to get the latest version of Camera Raw? I have version 8 which open the raw files from my main computer but it won't allow me to open the same images on my laptop for some reason any.

Normally, you go to help > updates in Photoshop CS6 and above for Adobe Camera Raw 9.0 which covers your model

If your laptop has CS5 or less, you must the DNG Converter.  Min OS for Windows 7/8 and OSX 10.7 and above.

I would like to know if this is the case.

  • camera raw update nikon d610 cs6

I recently got a Nikon D610 to replace my D600 camerabut now it says my Camera Raw version must be updated in order to open a picture. I downloaded the version 8.5 camera Raw.plugin (236) and place in Macintosh > library > Application Support > Adobe > Camera Raw. That allowed me to see the actual thumbnail pictures that I was downloading from the camera (instead of see an icon genertic) but when I go to open a picture in CS6 is always said that I need the last Camera Raw update. I have read through the many pages of the Adobe site and get more and more aggravated. It would be nice if there was a Live Chat feature. Can someone enlighten me as to what I should try next? Thank you!

Yes, it worked! I had gone into the root library but not to not place the plugin in the File Formats folder, just in CS6 file.

    Thank you very much!!

  • Cannot switch to Camera Raw 8.2 in CS6

    Here are the details:

Selecting help > updates... gives me the:

    The Adobe Application Manager

Says "checking for updates... "With the wheel that turns below which never ends

And I went to the Adobe site and downloaded Adobe DNG and Camera Raw Converter 8.2 ran successfully, but Photoshop always think that it is version 8.1.0.43

Also when I run Adobe DNG Converter, it says 8.2.0.9.4

Just Photoshop is not recognizing the plugin update.  All I need is for Photoshop knowledge there the 8.2 improved camera raw.  How do I do that?

    Thank you!!

Try to download the update from this link on the Blogs from Adobe and install it manually.

I don't want all the other updates, only Camera Raw 8.2.

Where can I download the CR only 8.2 update?

    Hello

Please open PS CS6, see help-> updates

Uncheck all only updated Camera Raw 8.2 CS6 and select apply.
