bug: exaggerate the width of scale logarithmic slider

I finally put my finger on something that had me fuck for a long time. The scale of a logarithmic slider control can become extremely large, if the displayed range is less than ten years. This makes wide control too and can break alignments of FP, for example if the cursor is displayed in a tab "adapt to the size.

Tie a VI demonstrates the problem. LV2015, but he saw a lot of older versions.

Some PTB reproduce the behavior and it upscale CAR if not earlier reported and if this is the case? Thank you.

I can reproduce the problem with any SLIDE typed controls using LV 2015.

Classified CAR #573500.

However, the question is negletable if you hide minor ticks.

  • Bug of the scrollbar with script "scale to fit".

    Hello

    I meet some sort of bug with this nice script "appropriate size":

    http://sarahjustine.com/2013/04/08/create-scale-to-fit-projects-with-Adobe-edge-animate/

    I create an animation simple, consisting of a single image (step = 1024px X 3000px) with the script (see below) to do the test: everything works, the animation is snug, BUT when I resize the browser, the scroll bar keeps its original size, even if the height of the animation is very low.

    The bug concerns all popular browsers (version desktop and mobile *) except chrome.

    * I use this meta: < = happy 'viewport' meta name = "width = device-width " >

    example:

    animation = 3000px original height

    the scroll bar height = 3000px

    - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

    animation-scaled height = 600px

    height of the scroll bar does not change = 3000px

    I use no CSS, I just publish the animation with EDGE CC (not 1.5).

    Hey Oliver,.

    Try to encapsulate another div around the div. #Stage I think that scroll bars appear with the Animate script will recalculate the height of the parent, because if that parent is the body it is not adjusted for he thinks it is the initial height of your composition. If your HTML page will look like this:

    I found that I had to apply the height property to get it to hide the scroll bar, but the value is obsolete as it gets when even crushed by the script. Who give a shot.

    Good luck!

  • Animation of edge doesn't scale to the width and height div parent

    We have an existing site that was built in 2007, but has been designed to fit perfectly with sensitive css, there were a few hiccups, but this was by far the biggest problem that I have encountered. I'm working on replacing a flash animation with animation that onboard animate cc 2014, I did, and everything went fine until I asked to play well with my existing Web page.

    I was playing with my files for a few days now, and I was wondering if anyone else has this problem. (I've been placing the code manually in html format, and not as a .oam) It seems that my animation of the edge, on the appropriate settings available, insists on the evolution of the size of the port view rather than the size of the parent div I put it in. I came with a difficulty of brute that changes javascript code so that the animation looks at 90% of the display window, but as soon as you resize the window, it goes back to 100%. Which is annoying because I need to be at 90% with a 5% margin/padding on each side (that's what the content div is set to of anyway, so when the edge host is set to 100% width, only go to 100% width of the content div that it is in) and even more embarrassing as that does not even begin to solve my problems with the desktop version of the site. As much as I love the sarcastic musings of my friend in HIM during the afternoon, I think we're both willing to entirely renounce this aspect of the project.

    When I tried to import a media file .oam that he just doesn't appear at all, no code, no javascrip, nothing shows the parent div and empty the stage in development tools (I check the code for troubleshooting purposes through google chrome).

    I'm really at the point where I hope I did something terribly wrong and I'll be able to save this new way to add in the animation. That would be the best case scenario at this point.

    Help, please!

    Here's how I solved the problem

    Configure the animation as w 100% and 100 hour

    You will need to exit mode suitable for it, also uncheck the option to stage at the centre.

    Then, I put a container around my scene in the html code. I call it class = "stagewrap".

    I then added javascript so that stagewrap would retain a certain aspect ratio but the scale to 100% width.

    That's what looked like my html

    My CSS looked like this:

    {.stagewrap}

    margin-top: 20px;

    Width: 100%;

    position: relative;

    overflow: hidden;

    margin-bottom: 30px;

    float: left;

    font size: 2.5vw;

    }

    Some of these styles will have to modify according to your needs or according to your needs.

    x is going to be your ration, which matches your width divided by your height, you can just divide the number of pixels, the units cancel out and that the ratio works for any other unit.

    There is the width to which your animation is 100% resolution without the scale upwards or downwards. It is a VERY important number to keep your overall percentages correctly.

    And z is probably 1, unless you want your text is larger or smaller, you can play with it yourself.

    "In my code, I wanted to also set it so that after a certain width of the window, the animation went to a static size so I did that."

    function setRatio() {}

    If ($(window) () .width)<= s)="">

    SW.height (sw.width () * thisRatio);

    }

    else {}

    SW.height (sh);

    }

    }

    s = the width of the window to which you want the size to go static LESS 1px

    SH = static height that you want the picture to stay in, this number automatically sets the width through the report.

    As insurance, you css for the size of the window, you want the static image to organize at all, the size of the .stagewrap in px

    I hope this helps!

  • Path of the scale without affecting the width of the line:

    Hi all

    This seems like it should be simple to do, but I'm not having any luck here. Basically I have a path akin to a null value which controls several things, their downward revision, turning and moving through the composition. One of these elements is a path with a stroke of 32 px.  I want to be able to reduce the path itself, but let the race the same.

    I thought I could key the width of the line manually, but this has no effect - scaling upward does not seem that the path scales down to change the width of the line at all at the end keyframe, only to the first keyframe. I see the number of px start at 32 and increase until it moves along the timeline, even if the width of the line on the screen becomes even smaller as if there is no change at all to the width.

    Thank you!

    You don't want generally not scale the layer that contains the line, you want to add to the mask path keyframes and animate the size of the path. It's easy. You just start by double-clicking on one of the tops and using the processing area.

    If this technique does not work for you, then you have two other options, the two expressions involving. These two options use exactly the same expression to examine the magnitude of your layer draw and both assume that the null value is scaling to 100% at the beginning of the animation. The option I would choose would be to replace the mask path on a layer at once applied with layer of form with applied outline path. You have many more options, and you're dealing with vector information. Another solution, it's the expression.

    SF = thisComp.layer ("control Null 1").transform.scale[0]/100; ")

    OV = value;

    NV = ov / sf

    SF (scale factor) is the scale value x control null which is the parent of the stroke layer or the layer with the edge effect applied to a mask divided by 100. If you plan to scale X and Y of the parent you will need to edit the expression, and then combine the scale factors and this solution will not work as well.  The original scale value is divided by 100 to make it a decimal value

    OV (original value) is the initial value of the race.

    NV (new value) is calculated by dividing the original value by the scale factor.

    It is base of the 7th grade algebra. If your parent control is scaling less than 0 then the race will disappear because the value won't change a negative number. If it is necessary in your publication, you can write an if statement that will change the nv back to a positive number if the scale factor becomes less than or equal to zero and solve the divide by mistake you would get with a scale factor of 0-0.

    One final point, and it's important. This expression will produce accurate results if applied to the size of the brush of a mask path when you use the effects > Generate > stroke effect to create your line but when bracts plus 100% of the line begins to fall apart and anti-aliasing will not be able to catch up with pixilation caused by scale. About 120% line will start to look slimmer and more than 140% Cela will look bad even if the width of the line is numerically accurate.

    I'll let you take it from there.

  • HELP: Cannot change the width on the slider widget

    I downloaded the cursor library of Widget Adobe Muse and worked to change the dimensions of the cursor on my preset dimension but without success. (Here's the cursor: http://muse.adobe.com/widget/composition-slideshow-mansoor)

For some reason, it won't let me go to any less than the width. Any suggestions?

    Check all the images within the slide and reduce their width individually be selecting them. After that, you can reduce the size of the target container.

  • How to get the Social/Vimeo widget for the width and height of the scale?

    I'm trying to get the Social/Vimeo widget proportion nationwide. For the moment, he played only in width but no height.

    Once it hits a specific breakpoint that is fine, but once you go beyond this breakpoint it does not keep the correct proportion and so on and so forth.

    I have 'Sensitive' width ' Resize' option, but ideally it should be 'sensitive width and height' but it is grayed out.

    Is there a solution?

    Drag the Central background of the video object up so the framework encompassing is very short and release. (While you do this the width of the object should not change, just the height.) Once you release Muse will take your browser redraw the video. It will then be abruptly to the proportions of the video (and probably push other things you will need to then back manually to the desired gap distance).

    What you did by dragging the shorter height and releasing was to set the minimum height for this object is very low. You should see a horizontal dotted line in the color of edges of framework that specifies the minimum height, you just put. Now that the video shrinks in width (and proportionately is shortened) the bounding box around it also will shorten (down to the minimum that you just put) and the following will be moving upwards to maintain the same distance from the gap of the video.

    Yes, but as shown in your video, when all is said and done, you have the exactly width anchor point where you originally placed the cursor.

    I noticed a 'ghost' width anchor point appearing when I tested, but it disappears as soon as I move the cursor.  The anchor of width is created exactly where I initially put it-in this case, at the intersection of the guidelines:

  • How to set the width of the different submenus in the menu variables?

    I want to change the width of the submenu variables. Bit it is not a slider between variables- title and objects- title to adjust. Who can help out me? Thanks in advance.

    Sorry, but I really doubt that you can adjust that. You can bring larger objects making it the largest window.

    Better to use short variable names. Could be worse at least you can get about 14 characters. But I agree a slider he would be nice, and maybe you should complete an application of feature/bug report.

  • How to change the width of the line?

    When I resize a path object, the width of the line remains the same.

    How to scale with the object?

    I thought it was possible in Flash, but I can't find any setting.

    I think it is in other Adobe applications.

    Actually, you can't evolve a shot of raw, which seems to actually like a bug. You have scaling on 'Normal' and then place it inside a clip. When you resize the clip, the width of the line dimensionnera more or less as desired.

    Pages v5.6.2 opens with miniature signs Gallery and comments to their maximum width. You can put these to scale down, save the document and exit Pages. Reopening of the same document, your previous settings are lost and these elements are maximized again. There is no magical controls that make these permanent adjustments with the same document, in all documents, or by registering as a model.

  • T790 in PS 44: Plotter does not print along the width of the roll

    Hello Forum, we have a problem. I can't figure out how to get the T790 to print reliably with the longitudinal axis of the image on the width of the roll. I did a test-high 840 300 mm wide stripe and print it. Of course, I don't want to print an empty square three quarters with a small vertical strip of color, it's a waste of paper money =.

    Yet, I can not understand how to force the machine to the vertical axis of the image along the width of the print roller. On most printers, including our former HP plotter, Mac paper settings dialog box has defined "width" as "width of the roll. The T790 know that. No matter how to set the page layout, no matter how I orient the printed image, it always comes out print vertically.

    Is it maybe a bug in the Mac driver? Clues?

  • color of the digital meter ramp or slide is missing the performance

    Hello

    I, m using CVI 2010 (10.0.1. (419) on windows 7-64 bit.

    In a simple program, I use a digital meter. I also use the color of the digital counter and on the IUR ramp, I see the ramp as expected with the defined colors. But when I run the Panel (in the debugging or mode of publication), the instrument (meter) shows but without the color ramp.  If I save the uir file, close it, then reopen it, the ramp of color in the file of the IUR is also missing, so I have to configure it again. It's the same with a digital slide.

    I think it's a bug? Someone at - it the same problem?

    Greetings from bremerhaven

    Norbert

    My guess is that you have inadvertently saved the. IUR in an old format (8.1 or older). In the user interface editor, check the bottom right of the window to see what the current format of the. IUR is.

    If this happens, you will have to change via file > save as.

    No, PopupScreen was still available. We have certainly used it in 4.2.1 but it was available before that as well.

    With PopupScreen, create it with your manager custom as a delegate.  In this handler, override sublayout to do most of the work. Sublayout of PopupScreen can contain a single functional element, if you wish: setPosition (x, y) (after the call to super.sublayout). SetExtent of the delegated manager will have an impact on the parent company PopupScreen fine (the screen apply the theme to the Manager and take more room, but it's OK).
