BUG: Flash straightened curves when you quickly draw

Curves drawn with the Pencil/Brush tool partially recovered, in particular when establishing quickly. It is very inhibiting to a team of animators and has persisted through the CC versions most recently 14.1.0.96

The repro steps:

1. open a new document, and then select the pencil tool.

2 pencil should be set to smooth. In properties, set smoothing to 0.

3. draw a line either by using a Wacom Cintiq tablet, mouse or a trackpad Mac. Wait to release the pen/mouse button and look at the representation of your gesture.

4. release the stylus - curve changes inaccurately or completely straighten an edge.

5. try a variety of curves at varying speeds.

6 Zoom 800% and repeat the steps of drawing to see representations of drawing more problematic.

Results: Drawing with pencil tool is erratic and does not represent the entrance, especially quickly attracted to the curves.

Expected results: the pencil in Flash CC tool should perform exactly as in versions CS5.5/CS6.

Note: also occurs with smoothing set to 20-100. Ink changes the line but due to smooth out universally. Ink is supposed to add without editing lines Freehand user, but it seems to be even more smoothing.

Tested with multiple Macs, OS, Cintiqs/Intuos tablets and drivers up to date

Similar problem where it is also addressed:

Flash CC - response slow drawing tablets

The problem is worse with the pencil with the Brush tool. Some of the recent changes to the Brush tool seem to have eliminated the majority of my problems. However, the pencil tool could use some work so that what you draw is really what you get.

EDIT: I learned that the paint brush tool essentially replaces the pencil. Although it is more difficult to draw with the Brush tool (because it uses an Overview of the dot instead of a line), its production feels much nicer. Relieved to say that this corrected my original problem.

Drawing in smooth mode with smoothing set to '0' is the closest to my scheduled drawn race, I've seen in Flash/Animate working over the years (pre creative Cloud). "Ink mode" still eludes me in general; I thought he was supposed to turn off programmatic value and reflect the stroke is drawn.

I suggest to Adobe is retiring from the pencil tool (and maybe revisit ink) and we can consider this a very serious problem fixed! Hooray! Thank you Adobe.

  • Flash CS4 crashes when you publish SWF big who previously worked very well

    Hi all

It drives me crazy, I tried to look in the FAQ from Adobe and other places within this site but can't find a good solution to this, in fact I found people asking the same question. The fact is Im do a game that after publication is 7Mo SWF, it was working great and in fact I did no critical change here, only put to update a text field with typo (without code), then when I tried to publish it crashed (other great games I did make Flash crash too) and blocks even by hitting CTRL + ENTER or just by selecting file > > publish or file > > settings publication > > publish, I reinstalled all CS4 6 or 7 times and even had a tool from here to uninstall the player (I thought that it uninstalled the drive used IDE but its apparently the browser plugin) asuming the question might be there, but still crashes after I re - install, curiously small FLA files may seem, I looked into CS5 FAQ and saw that they can set the size of the cache there but I can't not find in CS4, and Im so uncertain, it's because of this but just my guess after all I've read about this, could someone help me please? Thank you very much in advance, I'm fighting this for 4 days almost without sleep

  • Flash player crashes when you access my webcam

    Hello

I use about 20 pills of HP Elitepad 900 different G1 (all the 32 bit OSes). On each of them, at the signing in MegaMeeting and in being invited to access the webcam, IE not responding. When I try the same thing in Firefox, it shows that Flash Player has encountered an error and it to reload the page, and then quickly encounter the same error.

I have confirmed that I have the flash player more up-to-date, tried to uninstall and reinstall, update my drivers and confirmed on another site based on (Chatroulette) than the error occrus Flash, as well as confirmed that enforcement camera (Windows 8.0) and Skype both work fine with the web cam.

At this point, I'm at a loss because apart from that, there is no problem using flash for the meeting, just that they cannot participate with voice and video, and is the point of the meetings.

Posted below are the DXDIAG files as well as the version of flash that I installed, and I am looking for assistance in confirming what I can do to get this working.

    Thank you all very much!

Finally found the problem, but unfortunately I do not know if this will help in your case, since you are using a 3rd party software.  However, you can contact the developer with this information and I hope that they can send you a patch.

The default size of the object Camera in Flash is 160 x 120, but this resolution appears to be too low for the Intel driver.  In addition, if the Width property is less than the Height (portrait mode) property, it also seems to cause the crash.

In our application, we have just resized the object camera at 640 x 400, and it solved our problem.

Before you call the object Camera, a simple line of code can be added:

    Camera.setMode(640x400,15,true);

and he solved the problem on the Dell coming 8 Pro and Acer W4.

I hope this helps solve your problem!

  • Bug in W7? When you copy a file to a XP over the network

I think I found a bug in W7 64. Copy a file from a connected network XP on W7 via menu ORGANIZATION/COPY of Explorer I get a message 'do you want to open this file. OPEN/CANCEL"This ofcourse is a bad message. When I press OPEN, it does not open, but allows me to paste normally on my W7.

This message does not appear when I do not use the Organize menu, right-click on the file and select COPY.

  • Why can't I eject my flash drives safely when you run Firefox?

When I market/internet browsing on Firefox. I can't eject my flash drives safely. each time, I get this:

"Problem ejecting USB Mass Storage device - this legacy is currently in use. Close any programs or windows that might be using the device, and then try again. »

Flash drives are not used most of the time, except when I record something for them. Nothing is using them and all the stops and other things are accomplished, but I can't safely eject when Firefox is running. I have to close Firefox to eject safely. I can't in safe mode, however. Is a weird glitch, or something else happens with Firefox?

I found the culprit using Process Explorer. It is RecordingManager.exe which is part of the extension RealDownloader 1.3.0 from RealNetworks Inc.. I could see it was making reference to my letter of the USB drive, don't have however no idea why it was.

Kill the RecordingManager.exe process while leaving the FF running meant I could now eject the USB key.

Deactivation of the FF extension has prevented the problem from happening again.

  • Warning it can influence on the computer when you try to use the Flash Player

    Original title: Flash Drive case

I just started using the external drive and flash drive to increase the PC space.  I tried to remove some files of music from the flash drive. Got a warning box that if I continue I can have an impact on the computer or the software. If I continue. If I'm stuck with a flash drive with unusable area?

    Hi Russ Alan,

You will get a message to Scan Flash and continue when the Flash drive is infected.

When you get the message scanner the Flash disk, you can try to scan and continue.

You can also run a scan on your computer.

  • Error 0 x 80070570 when you access my flash drive using windows 7

I get an error 0 x 80070570 when you access my flash drive using windows 7, but the same flash drive works perfectly on two other PC's with Windows XP. It's frustrating because I need to backup and transfer files.

    Hello

1 you get an error message with this error code?
    2. is it a problem with this particular flash drive only or all flash drives?

Let us run the check disk utility.
    Here's how:
    a. open the computer by clicking the Start button, click computer.
    b. click the drive you want to check, and then click Properties.
    c. click on the Tools tab and then, under error-checking, click Find now. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
To automatically repair problems with files and folders that the scan detects, select automatically fix file system errors. Otherwise, the disk check will be a problem, but not to fix them.
To check for errors file and the physical errors, select both automatically fix errors in file system and search for and attempt recovery of bad sectors.
    d. Click Start.

Depending on the size of your drive, it may take several minutes. For best results, do not use your computer for any other tasks while it checks errors.

Important: Running chkdsk on the drive if bad sectors are found on the disk hard when chkdsk attempts to repair this area if all available on which data can be lost.

    I hope this helps.

Thank you, and in what concerns:

  • Could you please let me know if Flash Player will inform a user that its system requirements are not enough when you try to use a version of Flash Player?

    Hello

Could you please let me know if Flash Player will inform a user that its system requirements are not enough when you try to use a version of Flash Player?

    Concerning

    It depends, but generally, no..

Guidelines for the minimum system requirements are especially on what we and won't fix the bugs for.  Flash Player probably works on Windows Server 2000 and we will not intentionally break it or prevent you from installing, but we will also not fix it if it breaks.  In cases where it will crash on launch or some other out-of-box horrible experience, like trying to install on a Mac PowerPC, then we will prevent pure and simple installation.

  • HP Deskjet F4280 all-in-one scan does not work. Start button / stop flashing when you press scan.

Scan does not not on my HP Deskjet F4280 all-in-One.  The power button flashes when you press scan. Everything else works.  I tried to unplug it from the wall socket and reconnect it.  Not solve the problem. What else can I try?  Or, is it a piece of junk now and needs replacement?   My laptop (windows vista) did not go into repairs several months ago. Don't know if that had anything to do with it.

When you take a Flash inside the shutter remains open as if you used no flash. The anti-shake icon is visible in the viewfinder before a picture is taken.

The handshake that you see indicates that the device is set to use 1/30 of a second shutter speed or slower. This explains the symptoms you describe. There are other parameters that will allow you to do, but the first thing to check is to make sure that the flash setting is not set to slow sync menu.
