Bug in the accessor class data member with name return

Noticed a small bug in creating data classes accessor member.

If you have an in the variable title carridge return the vi it creates will not save.

You do not have to set two things for each control. By default if you show the legend that is the same as the lable. You only need to change and then only for those on the FP.

  • Typedef reference FPGA not updated in the private class data

    I have a FPGA reference related to a typedef that is passed in a LVOOP object. If I change the FPGA of computer simulation of dev to the use of the actual hardware, all references to the typedef are updated which are controls on a diagram. But the typedef in my private class data seems not not to date, so I'm broken son until I replace the control to private data of my class with a copied from my block diagram. Has anyone seen this? Is there a CAR already? I can create a small project to reproduce if necessary.

    Edit: this also seems to happen when I change bitfiles or change to open a VI a bitfile opening in the Configure dialog box open FPGA VI.

    Hi Greg,.

    I was able to reproduce your problem thanks to your easy to follow instructions.

    I noticed that type def successfully by checking "Bind FPGA host of reference to the type definition" in the open FPGA VI reference configuration. What does not automatically update is the Issue.ctl of OBJECT-oriented programming, which has a nested type definition in the private data reference.

    The fastest solution, that I could find was to right click on "Issue.ctl" in the project, and then click Save. This problem immediately solved the broken wire error.

    While configuring open FPGA VI reference has the practical ability to bind to the def of type, it does not broadcast this change to data private to the class. I call not this bug, but I can see how you want it works this way.

    I would recommend you post that on theExchange of ideas (I see you're already regularly here).

  • Calendar and the problems of data collection with the DAQ Assistant

    Hello NOR Developer area,

    I am a Novice of LabVIEW and have seen how helpful you all can be, and if I come to ask for your help.

    I'm having some trouble with a VI I built that specifies an input voltage, a SCB - 100 connected to a PCI-6031E and converts this tension in a temperature displayed on a waveform table. The goal is to give a constant reading of the temperature and display it in a chart for as long that the VI is running (and to reset the chart the next time the tracks of VI).

    The problems I've encountered currently are:

    -After a few minutes of the VI running, I get an error message 200279: tried to read samples that are no longer available. The requested sample was already available, but has since been replaced. (to the DAQ Assistant express VI).

    -I don't know how to change my chart so that the minimum value X is both during which the VI was launched and have the maximum X value increases with each iteration of the loop. Currently, I have the VI get the time system and contributing to the property node X scale. This worked for the graph of the voltage, but not for the temperature chart

    I appreciate those of you who took the time to read my post.

    Thank you all for your help.

    What property node is talking?
    I do not understand that many different data types. How can I go on the treatment of all the data?

    (Did you mean I should wire 'blue' data for mathematical functions rather than using the node property tension?)

    Sincerely,

    In fact, one of the nodes property.  I mean specifically the tension property node.  But in reviewing, I noticed the other nodes in property for the chart.  Just set auto-scaling to the X scale and that should take care of two of the nodes property (right click on the graph, X scale-> AutoScale X Scale).  I also recommend placing your mathematical functions in a Subvi to make things easier to read.  Attached, that's what I think you're after.

    I hope that these small tweaks will speed things up enough to avoid your error.  If this isn't the case, then we should begin to look at the design of producer/consumer model or take readings at the same time.  It might also be worth looking away the DAQ Assistant and DAQmx real screws.  But one step at a time.

    in your first example, your pre-teen lose scope in the function finito and rt will be the last tween set. so, you end up with a drop of rain interpolation.

  • LabVIEW oop variant in the private class data

    Hello

    I'm new to LabVIEW OOP.

    Is there a way to get a control of type variant in the 'grouping of private class data"for a class? If not, is there an alternative for handeling given variant? I use LV 2013.

    Thank you.

    Just, you use a control of type variant, and put in the big giant cluster.  It's the same for any other data type.  Is there a specific problem that you run into?

  • Can't place separator reference in the private class data control

    Any reason, I can't drag and drop a splitter reference leave my block diagram to a private open class data control? Basically, I'm ignored when I let it go, even if I see an icon 'drop' after that I drag the control.

    Well, I think I got smart and just placed a generic control Refnum into the command group, and then used the VI of the server class to identify it as a separator. Interesting how I could drag and drop references to the sub-panels and other types but not a divider.

  • Form of the ADF for data structure with several child records

    Jdev version: 11.1.1.2.0

    I have a data structure with a one-to-many parent-child relationship. I give an example of the data structure.

    Employee table:
    ----------------------
    EmpId
    EmpName
    Salary

    Table Historiqueemploye:
    -------------------------------
    EmpId
    Previous_Employer
    From_Date
    To_Date

    In the ADF form for entering data for a new employee, I want to give a layout (say, a button "Add row") for the history of the employee's employment. How can we succeed in ADF?

    I'm new to ADF. Would be grateful if someone can help me with detailed steps or a link showing such a demonstration.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello

    If you exposed a View for the Historiqueemploye table object, then simply drag this point of view as a form and then drag and drop the create operation (within the structure of the View object in the data control palette) as a button for the new line is created. If you do not always display the historical, add it to an af:popup and start button context menu create or hide the af: panelFormLayt that a form is added by default.

    Certainly, and I recommend this approach.

    There are a variety of locations, you will need to review in order to better understand how to proceed.  I would like to start here:

  • Questions about to determine the size of the array of data storage with flexibility

    I try to use the CVI function below to load data from .csv file to the table that I was intending to use later:

    filereturnvalue = FileSelectPopup ("c:\\Users\\Desktop\\FileDirectory", "*.csv", "", 'Select the data file', VAL_LOAD_BUTTON, 0, 0, 1, 0, LoadFilePath);

    FileToArray (DATAArray, VAL_CHAR, LoadFilePath, MaxDataSize, 1, VAL_GROUPS_TOGETHER, VAL_GROUPS_AS_COLUMNS, VAL_ASCII);

    For the data table "predetermined", it is quite straightforward, because the size of the table is already set.  However, I wonder if there is anyway I could use CVI directly import data and determine the size of the array on the fly?  Which means that the user need not know the length of the data, and it could be determined then to import the file.

    Hello

    for ASCII files, you can do so in any first read the file and counting the newline characters, something like:

    int file_handle;
    int index;
    int size = 0;
    char line_buffer [80];

    If (OpenFile (...) > 0)
    {
    While (ReadLine (...) > 0)
    {
    size ++;
    }
    }
    CloseFile(f) (file_handle);

    This way you can determine the number of rows you have, but you must have an idea of how long a line may be, one number per line or 32000 because you must specify the size of your line_buffer.

    In the next step you analyserions monotube for occurrence of your column separator (say a ;) to determine the number of columns (separators found + 1).

    Hello

    The problem is due to the "OR" condition (I did not pay attention to it earlier).

    Because of this condition, your query is given beyond 7 days recovery. You need to rewrite the code as:

    ALM_OG_CAMPAIGN_CODE in ('MED', 'MED1')

    Instead of

       and ALM_OG_CAMPAIGN_CODE = 'MED'
         OR ALM_OG_CAMPAIGN_CODE = 'MED1';

    This will do the magic for you.

  • Print the results of a quiz with name included

    I've seen this asked several times, but I couldn't find the answer. I'm running 7 Captivate on Windows XP. I just need to print the results of the quiz which will include the student's name. I tried the text box on the certificate widget but if I use the "print" key nothing of what has been added to the certificate (as the name) will be printed. I can do a screen capture and the data is printed, but I was wondering if there is a better way to enter the name of a student and then embed it in the results page. Looks like it would be a "no brainer" feature to have, but I'm not.

    I don't want to capture results electronically. I just need to print the results that will will also show their name.

    I am a new user of Captivate. Any help or pointing me in the direction to learn how to do this would be much appreciated.

    You can get the learner to enter their name in a box of text at the beginning of the module, store this text in a user variable, and then display this text at the end of the lesson on the slide, you print.

  • Restoration of the accessors of class through properties

    LV2013

    When you create an accessor for a class data member, you have the possibility to make this available through nodes in property accessor class.

    I accidentally deleted a VI of the accessor.

    The VI himself is still; It's pretty easy to ADD the file in the project.

    But when I do, the properties that you to reconnect.  I can replace it with the VI and everything is fine, but there are cases where two or more values I want and I want to use a property node to get.

    How can I say this VI it should be accessible through knots of property?

    You must add a "property definition" file (as you create a subfolder in a library/project) in your class.

  • You can survey objects to see if the class data were populated in a child method?

    Question,

    If a parent method is cast down to the child class, and then a method is used to update some data in the class data, that the data is visible with a probe on the wire coming from the object? Or is the data view of the data in the parent class data and not the child?

    I have a problem where the parent class is executed instead of the child's class and I can't understand why...

    Thanks for all the ideas.

    I don't know if I know more precisely what you're asking, but maybe this will help you.

    The default probe will show you the data that makes up the type of wire.  Thus, for children's classes it shows data childs and no ancestor.

    If it is a top-level class thread displays only the data for the parent class, it will inform you of the actual wire type, since we know children can spend as their parents.

    Now, I think that what you're asking, is if it is possible to see the data for children, the son of parents.  I don't know, but you should be able to make sensors for you show more information based on the actual type.
