Bug of the Sound class

I posted this earlier and got no answer, so please help if you can:

for flash.media.Sound, is the description of the function of reading:
public void play(startTime:Number_=_0,_loops:int_=_0,_sndTransform:SoundTransform_=_null):SoundChannel

and for the first parameter:
startTime:Number (default = 0) - initial position in milliseconds at which playback should begin.

The first parameter, startTime, doesn't seem to work at all. I tried all values greater than about 26 will cause the sound to send within a few milliseconds soundComplete event instead of play the file at all.

What is the problem?

Since the Beta 3, this seems to work fine.

    Search in the online help for the sound. You will find an example of class for the import and playback of an audio file. Just follow this class.

    Noticed a small bug in creating data classes accessor member.

    If you have an in the variable title carridge return the vi it creates will not save.

    You do not have to set two things for each control. By default if you show the legend that is the same as the lable. You only need to change and then only for those on the FP.

    in your first example, your pre-teen lose scope in the function finito and rt will be the last tween set. so, you end up with a drop of rain interpolation.

    to remedy this, give your interpolations of different names.

  • Stop the sound of a button

    Hello..

    I have a small problem with the sound... I have an animation of main container with background sound which is full of soundChannel.

    I have also an external SWF that is loaded with video Clip buttons that have a BEARING ON sound on the timeline... after rolling discount - I place the:

    SoundMixer.stopAll (); to stop playing the sound button, once the mouse is released... However, the problem I'm running into is that it also stops the sound of the main container - suggestions clip? Thanks a bunch in advance!

    everything in your last message is correct, except that you use the soundchannel to load a sound.  you will use either the "new" constructor to instantiate your sound (if sound is in your library) or if you use a sound instance and the load() method of the sound class to load your sound.  the soundchannel is what is returned after applying the play() method to your sound. instance.

    I have a MovieClip "Animation" with its added as a Streaming. I also created a SiderBar Volume I want to use to adjust the volume of the sound on my Flash.

    The SliderBar Volume work well and I need to assign some how the volume for the volume of position (value of). I was wondering if anyone can tell me how I can do this on a sound which is timeline based?

    It's easy - no one will be able to tell you a way to do it.
    Sound control is very limited when you use the timeline sounds. That's why
    It's great to have the Sound class, which gives you a lot of methods
    and properties to deal with sound. One would be setVolume(), which
    allows developers to change the volume of the sound when running.

  • Is there a bug in the as3 tween class

    Is there a bug in the as3 tween class that causes interpolations is stopped before completing. I read that there is and that a 3rd party tween class should be used. I'm starting to learn as3 and experimentation, but it would be good to know when I move on more complex projects.

    The solution for this would also make your overall function. It simply means place your feature in the top level of your film.

    I did some research on this topic, but I found a lot of conflicting answers.

    Any help is welcome thanks in advance.

    interpolations should NOT be local to a function.  otherwise, they are likely to be gc would be before they finish.

    Yes, I noticed that too.

    This was also my experience. It is the same for the volume control
    on SoundMixer, and pan, through its soundTransform property, which
    provides a reference to a SoundTransform instance that is, without doubt,
    Global (in the sense of affecting all the sounds).

    My hunch is that the docs are simply wrong on this one.

  • Bug: iOS 10 sounds dumb poet

    All,

    I cut my keyboard sounds in iOS. Since the update iOS10 however in the calculator keyboard sounds are audible stil. It is a bug.

    In addition, in Safari, when you use the menu drop down I hear a noise (why Apple? what is the sound suppoosted even say or add?). I also find it a bug.

    Hope it can be fixed.

    Your laptop PC HP Compaq 6535 s has ADI SoundMAX AD1984A Audio.  HP does not support Linux on your PC, only the original Windows operating system that comes with it.

    I tried the audio driver on Toshiba download page. I also tried to install KB888111xpsp2.exe (support of the SAU) but no luck.

    In addition, you must install both patches from Microsoft. The second version (KB888111) isn't enough if you read the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:
    You must uninstall version 1.0 of the Audio class driver high definition UAA before installing version 1. 0a.

    Then please install the hotfix else too: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/835221

    After installing the pachtes you can follow with sound installation.

  • x 64 (64-bit) bug in the C API

    I try to get the C API of 64-bit running.  I have the 32-bit running API, and it is not working properly.  It seems that no API call in the 64-bit environment, which returns more than a single data type replaces a box of memory it does not.

    I work in VB.NET and enveloping with a marshaling calls.  The simplest example of a call that is not working properly is querying the active channels on the scope:

    C header:

    There are several different ways to encode a managed, unmanaged for this translation.  First is to use an allocation to build a pointer on a buffer zone:

    Pointer = Marshal.AllocHGlobal (MAX_CSTRING_LENGTH)

    Then, the declaration looks like this:

    When the call is made, the call to channelsSizeOut returns 23 characters (which is correct).  Channels IntPtr is however cancelled (this should never happen, he suggests that the battery is getting damaged.)  If I put a very wide range locally around the pointer, sometimes it is not damaged.

    Or you can call the function by using a call to stringbuilder.  Basically, it replaces the IntPtr parameter with a string generator using marshaling for a pointer:

    then the call looks like this:

    Yet once, calling this function causes the stringbuilder class being together (Nothing), which is essentially showing that stack space where is the pointer to the StringBuilder is getting damaged.

    It is important to note that this code works perfectly with the 32-bit version of the DLL (with a programming construct).

    I don't think it's a bug in the C API; I can do the following for both x 86 and x 64 without triggering of MSVC stack Canaries. (Note that for brevity, it does no checking error in this code snippet.)

    I suspect that the problem is in your marshaling. Size_t parameters are probably better represented using System.UIntPtr and not the type UInteger; size_t is 32-bit on 32-bit platform and 64 bits on 64-bit platforms, but UIntegers are 32-bit at a time. Try to write channelsSizeOut, it's probably what is triggering the corruption of the stack.

    I have a problem with the FRF vi, which calculates the frequency response. The cluster 'info of the spectrum', the channel name is not changed when the FRF vi is looped. It seems that this problem is when the vi Polymorph selection is set to "1 stimulus, 1 reply.

I want to store the result of the FRF vi to a TDMS with polymorphic VI 'Write in TDMS' file available in the Toolbox for sound & Vibration. The Spectra must be registered with all of the properties and the channelname should change...

    Someone has an idea to fix this? Maybe I do not use the bandwidth as it should be, but it seems that there is a bug in the vi.

    DELL monitors have different serial numbers on the back panel and the class WmiMonitorID.

    For example, there are 20 digits alphanumeric serial number as CZ-0F525M-73608-021-341, on the Panel back and there is the serial number of the alphanumeric number 12, as F525M021341L to the WmiMonitorID class.

    Why is this happening?

    Because the Dell order number is lost, there is no way that you or Dell can prove any guarantee. Without evidence, Dell will only guarantee the monitor for 3 years based on the serial number.  This sounds like infringing material in not usa or EBAY or something other than Dell.

    CZ-0F525M-73608-021-341 L = February 1, 2010 to February 1, 2013 to a U2410

    This number is taken from this forum.

    First 2 letters is country of origin.  MX = Mexico CN = China CZ = Czech Republic etc.

    0F525M is the number of Dell.  It is an IEMEA part number.
