Build 7601 this copy of windows is not genuine
Everything worked fine, until... a day ago, I bought a new case, the processor and the motherboard.
http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/part/biostar-motherboard-b85mg (mobo)
and http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/part/intel-cpu-bx80646g3258 (cpu)
I use all of my old parts (hard drive, etc.). I don't have a key because when I got windows 7, the place, I had it since does not give me the box with the key, or other, they just installed and got rid of me. I already had windows 8/8.1, but it doesn't matter, and im not going back to this POS.
I don't plan to buy another copy, not even considered an option. Microsoft make you as much money, but you must do this... Sheesh.
I tried to delete various updates and reflected on the forums but couldn't find something that helped.
Thanks in advance
~ gabe newell
I contacted the support by phone, and when he said how many computers were installed, I said one (of course)... He thinks im on a brand-new computer :/

If the shop is still there they must offer you a method of re - install your operating system.
It is a violation of MS etc. Licensing agreements the EULA for windows on a system and don't provide any method of re - install,.
If they used the media System Builder so it cannot be transferred in any case
but they are still in violation of the original installation by providing not only the media and the COST to reinstall with the original material,
If they used retail FPP, then, you would be able to transfer
but once again no media and COA = violation do not provide the installation media and the COA.

> How can I get a copy?
If your laptop was initially shipped with Win7 preinstalled and you want to now order original Toshiba Recovery disk for your laptop that you can do it on https://backupmedia.toshiba.eu/landing.aspx
>... where I can find a product key that I use to activate windows?
You can not find it. I put t understand your question. If you use OS Toshiba you n t need activation code, but if not you and if pre-installed OS is installed with the installation of Microsoft disk you need to pay for a valid license. All the time, you're in the magic circle. You always ask the same question, but somehow, you don t read what other people write here. Hello
Looks like you used the system after receiving no real message for 30 days. Can you connect in safe mode (press F8 at startup)? This might help: http://www.sevenforums.com/windows-updates-activation/252903-black-screen-windows-not-genuine.html

Yesterday a notice appeared on the lower right of my saying (black screen) desktop "Windows 7 Build 7601 this copy of Windows is not genuine." The computer is a Dell XPS1702x I bought the 29/08/2011 and never had a problem before. I have two drives to Windows 7 Ultimate and Office 2010 Professional Plus, that are installed on the system. I have read other threads and will display the results of the diagnostic MGA. The computer seems to operate normally, other than the appearance of the desktop. Thank you.

Activation and Validation issues more look the same on the surface, but can have many different causes and bugs. This is why we ask a diagnostic report and it is also why we are asking that you create your own thread for your question (in other words, do not post your question in another thread).
It is simply too complicated to try to resolve the multiple problems in the same thread.

Windows 7 build 7601 this copy of Windows is not genuine. Once again
Hi all
I have had my HP laptop about 5 years and have logged on tonight and like others, I get the message; Windows 7 build 7601 this copy of windows is not genuine.
I have installed new software, but windows has recently completed an update?
I also looked on the bottom of the laptop for the original key code. However, he obviously has disappeared over the years and is now unreadable. Teach me to retain in the future.
That's the diagnosis report I copied and pasted the previous responses, if anyone can help it will be really appreciated.
Thank you the

"Windows 7 Build 7601 this copy of Windows is not genuine" and the slow boot after malware removal
HP Pavilion dm4 my daughter recently started to take about 10-15 minutes to start, tell me that he had become infected by something questionable. It is currently running Windows 7 Home Premium SP1, with AVG free anti-virus.
When we noticed the problem first, AVG has been disabled (probably by malware), and I could not turn it back on. He would not run a scan at all. I have scanned it with Norton Power Eraser and their free bootable scanner, nor identified any problems. I ran Malwarebytes in safe mode, and it found several files associated with Yontoo, which he deleted. I ran ccleaner, including the registry cleaner. At this time, AVG was returned to service, so I ran a full scan with it. AVG found several files associated with OpenCandy, which he deleted. A scan later Malwarebytes came clean.
For now, the system seems to work fine, EXCEPT: there are still a huge amount of time to start - several minutes between each step. And now, the desktop appear intermittently a message which reads: "Windows 7 Build 7601 this copy of Windows is not genuine".
I found a lot of discussion online about this error message, but it seems that each of them (which I reviewed) has a different twist to what I feel.
Any suggestions for next steps? Thanks in advance.

Hello
I have a laptop Packard Bell Easynote I bought a few years back from a major retailer of the high street.
I the have not used for a few months.
Today I turned on it & it is automatically downloaded & installed a load of updates of Windows 7.
Now I have a regular black desktop and a note at the bottom right, "windows 7 build 7601 this copy of windows is not genuine".
I am running windows 7 Home premium 64-bit, service pack 1.
How can I tell the laptop that my copy of windows is genuine. ??
Please answer each of the following [admittedly tedious] diagnostic questions in a list numbered corresponding type in your very next answer, preferably without quote my post:
1. when (date approximately) did you buy the computer?
1B. not a Win7 64 bit are preinstalled on the computer when you bought it, did you do a clean install of Win7, or did upgrade you the computer to Win7?
2. What is the full name of your application or the installed antivirus security suite and when (date about) is your subscription current expires? What (other than Defender) anti-spyware applications are installed? What third-party firewall (if applicable)?
3 a Norton or McAfee application ALREADY installed on the computer as you bought?
4. do you have a free trial Norton or a test of free McAfee [CHOOSE ONE ANSWER] come preinstalled on the computer When you bought it? (No matter if you have never used or activated).
5. KB2925418 is, KB2929961 and/or KB2930275 listed in installed updates(not update history)? [1]
5b. How about KB2909921, KB2916036, KB2912390 or maybe KB2909210?

I have 'Windows 7 Build 7601 this copy of Windows is not genuine ". What can I do?
Separated from this thread.
I just had this error today. "Windows 7 Build 7601 this copy of Windows is not genuine". When I enter my product key, you will receive an error; When I click on more options, the operational of error said: "the service is not started. I looked for "Software Licensing" in services.msc and it is not on the list. I think that this can happen because I entered my license key on my laptop that I wiped Win7 Home Premium and installed Win ultimate. What can we do about...? Should I buy another key?

"Windows 7 Build 7601 this copy of Windows is not genuine" watermark
I use Windows 7 Pro for years without problem, but yesterday a reboot all * broke loose. Finally, I have cleared the error message next (which fixed the error "Could not load python27.dll"), and I found another copy of TAPI32.dll to replace my damaged copy. All this has been, I'm sure that, due to a recent incident which probably corrupted files. However, I'm still stuck with the error message in the subject:
Windows 7
Build 7601
This copy of Windows is not genuine.
I am absolutely convinced that it is authentic. It's an OEM package years that was installed when my machine was custom built, and I don't have any problems with it so far. He, of course, traveled with me through the different parts upgrades and replacement on the computer, including a couple new hard disks.
I ran MGADiag, with the following results:

"Windows 7 Build 7601 this copy of Windows is not genuine" after several teething problems
Well, a few days ago, I had repeated problems where after my machine has started, things were not running right. Several programs that start automatically at startup were suspended, others were not run at all and I had to reboot several times in a row until I was a session that would normally be. This last day, he won't even be me a normal session.
And then I got the dreaded error "this copy of Windows is not genuine" and it starts just a black screen and I do not get any further. (I started this time in Mode safe mode with networking). I have a disc of Win7 Pro DVD bought Age of return and progressed through several machines with it. Always a machine at the same time, of course.
MGADiag output follows.
