  I think if I could include 'AppLib.jar' because no JAR external to compile the project would be expected for that library properly in the "App.alx" but as I have said, for example, if I put the "AppLib.jar" in the folder "App\ lib\" file path browser version does not show me the file and I can't select it. I can only do so if I select in the AppLib\deliverables\Standard\5.0.0\, but not found problem occurs then.

  ibarrera, that is not the problem.

  First, when copying a file to your project via the OS Explorer, you must refresh the project in Eclipse in order to get visible. otherwise, if the Eclipse do not see, the .jar file is not going to join your project. But I know that's not the problem.

  In the second place, to get this .jar file be included in your project as non-external, you must add as first external, close this wizard properties re-open; Then select the .jar file, you just added and click on "Migrate JAR file" button. Find the .jar file in the project and click Finish.

  This is done, your project will be ready to be built and executed.

  I think that you have changed the system library JRE to your project of the BB JRE to the Oracle Java JDK.

  For your BB project, you should have in your Java Build Path libraries the JRE of BlackBerry. (Delete the rest and then add the library - JRE - Alternate JRE System Library and select BB JRE).

  glassfish/modules/org.eclipse.persistence.core.jar
  glassfish/modules/org.eclipse.persistence.jpa.jar
  glassfish/modules/org.eclipse.persistence.asm.jar
  glassfish/modules/org.eclipse.persistence.antlr.jar
  

  The problem with the above is that it adds absolute paths to the .classpath and therefore cannot be committed to the repository.

  Unfortunately, these files are created in these ways:
  D:\project\bin\projectPackage\Main.swf
  D:\project\bin\projectPackage\Main-debug.swf
  D:\project\bin\projectPackage\Main-profile.swf
  
  I want to:
  D:\project\bin\Main.swf
  D:\project\bin\Main-debug.swf
  D:\project\bin\Main-profile.swf

  In fact, there are too many conflicts with your solution, levancho.

  So I just moved my main application file to the directory of classes ( D:\project\src\classes\Main.mxml instead of D:\project\src\classes\projectPackage\Main.mxml), and it's much better this way! :
  No conflicts, own only build path!

  I got a code that worked fine on my home PC, when I moved to work, the exe would not build due to errors.

  This path refers to a VI inside of my executable!

  Maybe it's a bigger problem than I first thought

  So my question is:

  If a path inside my building that would be compared to the executable and LabVIEW must resolve, could fail, this process, depending on where the exe is located in a folder hierarchy?

  I guess it could have happened before? but it would be more probable now due to longer paths!

• Automatically record by using build path

  Hey everybody.

  I bet there is a simple solution to my problem. But for the life of me I can't find it.

  I have this VI which measures pressure. It works brilliantly, but I when I want to record the data of the product VI I specify a file name with a control of the chain, if I did not it pushes me to write. It would not be a problem except for the fact that he must save the data quite often and I can't always stay around the computer during its operation. So I wrote a code that automatically creates a single string (not shown in the picture), but when I join this channel to build the terminal path string that I request writing a file name instead.

  In short: I want my VI to automatically create a file with the name of a single file (for example. "Timestamp_Operator_type_of_measurement_measurement_number")

• The build directory path appears in the paths of internal vi EXE

  Told us our customers use ActiveX to open a vi within our exe file reference years.  However, a few years ago, we had to turn off the use of LabVIEW 8.x file layout, then the exe started to contain the path that our software has been built since.  For example if the construction c:\ourapp\ourapp.lvproj, before changing the layout of the file, we could access ourapp.exe\viinroot.vi.  Now, the paths of vi in the exe would be Ourapp.exe\ourapp\viinroot.vi.  To work around this problem, we have created a virtual disk V:\ and mapped c:\ourapp with the virtual drive.  On our x 64 build machine (with LabVIEW 2014 x 64) thise creates an exe file with the file path expected (ourapp.exe\viinroot.vi).  On our x 86 build machiene, however, the path is ourapp.exe\V\viinroot.vi, which breaks the possibility to our customers to use ActiveX to control our app.

  What should we do?

  We have solved this problem.  The root cause was cross linking to vi outside our source code directory.

  @mikeporter: we begin to do something like this and it solved the problem in the places where we have implemented this solution.  We went to the root directory where all subdirectories with sub live live and created a vi 'get the root path.vi' he has stripped that it returns path.  Then, we built all paths relative, rather than the path of our exe.

  However, there were a few places not permitted in our code that did not build paths quite the same way and so we didn't find and fix this code.  So, we still had to resolve the issue of the included build directory. In another forum post someone described that LabVIEW detects all the dependencies and then back until it finds the root folder most common and then creates the exe with files from this root.  So we understood that some of the vi in our source code were being attached elsewhere.  In particular, they were linked to copies of themselves stored in our automaded build directory.  So the solution OR proposed was mass compile the code directory.  Once we did it, this problem disappeared

  A file name cannot contain colon ': '.

  For example, use windows Explorer and try to change a file name by inserting a ': ', this is what you would see.

  the jde creates the StringsResource.java file dynamically (in your tmp folder).
  You must add this file (or one that you created manually, depending on your workflow) in eclipse. No tmp of course folder, copy it into your project folder.
  do NOT add this file to the jde project.

  I have a request ('A') that I am trying to build another application ("BuildA").

  I can create a request for A manually of its project using the Build specification, and it works fine (A.exe).

  Also, when I run BuildA.vi in the development environment he calls the "Build.vi" properly and again generates application A.exe very well.

  Then, when I ask BuildA (manually) and run BuildA.exe, I would expect that it also creates A.exe as BuildA.vi did in the development environment.

  However, it fails with the error:

  Why BuildA.vi works fine in the LabVIEW environment, but the application that builda.exe does not work?  All paths are hard-coded, so it shouldn't be a path problem.

  There are still other options.  Lets say configure you VI to run then.  If you ran the following command from your script line

  "C:\Program NIUninstaller Instruments\LabVIEW 2011\LabVIEW.exe" "C:\BuildA.vi".

  It would then open your BuildA.vi in LabVIEW and run in the development environment.

  I have a small question.

  I am writing a program that generates several files such as voltage, resistance, etc... I want the user to simply specify the path, and my program should automatically name files.

  For example, if the user specifies the path "C:\measurements" where he wants that all of the files, my program must create the files Voltage.csv, Current.csv, Resistance.csv etc. in this way.

  I use scripture to the worksheet. The problem is when I run it, I can't just specify a single path in the dialog box that appears. I have to specify the file name too.

  Even if I can get just the value of path, how would I add my different file names him? I would create the file name as a string which is in a pink color. But the data file path types are different with a dark blue-green color.

  How do about it?

  I am currently using create a file (path of the unwired file) so that the user can enter the name of the file "test.txt" to create the txt file. No problem here.

  However, I want this newly created text file to be my path to my writing on a spreadsheet file.

  Why not use Build path? and then send it to write to the spreadsheet file.

• Program stops on the road to construction, path/file was not created.

  I have a small vi that reads from a file on the root drive.  If the file is not there, it creates it.  First of all, the vi is to put an end to the build path icon.  This icon will blink for a reason, but no warning is given.  It's as if there is a breakpoint, but I did not a here, and I don't see one.  Then, when it continues, it is unable to create the path and the file does not exist.  I have attached the vi in question.  BTW, this is LV7.0.  Thank you.

  I thought about it.  It will only create a directory at a time.  I had to convert the path of the directory in a table and create each directory in the sequence.
