    Hi Goldie,

Right click on the speaker in the taskbar, ranging from recording devices, make sure that you only have one option of microphone, it would be the first step, if you got more than 1, try right click on them and "default setting" for each of them to see if it works.

    Hope this helps,

  • Built in microphone does not work on my Tecra A9

    I have a Tecra A9 PTS52A-OEYO3F

My operating system is XP Professional.

I'm trying to set up a Skype account without having to buy a plug in microphone. I think that my Tecra A9 has a built in microphone. When I test the equipment via the control panel / sounds and Audio devices / voice / hardware test, an error message indicates that my voice could not be detected. Also, a similar Skype test revealed that my voice could not be detected.

The user manual on page 4-23, under the heading level Microphone sets out the process to change the logging level. Step 1 requires a right-click the speaker icon in the taskbar to reveal devices of recording on the submenu. When I perform the right click of the "speaker" of the menu has revealed icon includes "Open Volume Control" and "Adjust Audio properties". There is no option of "Recording devices" where only the instructions in the manual do not apply.

I'm not convinced that I have a microphone, and if I do then why it is not working.

    Thank you

If your Tecra has a build-in webcam so he must have mic too.

  • Satellite A350-20s - built-in microphone has stopped working

    Hello

I was wondering if someone could help me? My mic has suddenly stopped working. I was away for two weeks and when I tried to use the microphone it no longer works. It was working perfectly before.

When I go into Control Panel and watch settings for the microphone, he said his assets. I also installed the volume on the microphone and checked if everything is muted. But as far as I could see everything fine.

If I test the microphone the sound bar still gray and the microphone is not any sound recording. I tried a few of the instructions I found online, but nothing helped.
I mainly use the microphone on web with Skype calls.

It is a very frustrating problem. I hope someone can help me. Thanks in advance.

    Hello

The built-in microphone is the webcam and is a part of it. Which means it would be recommended to reinstall the driver for the webcam. You can download the driver for the webcam on Toshiba website for your laptop.

Can send you additional information about your operating system? You use the preinstalled operating system from Toshiba or did you do your own installation of Windows?

    Concerning

  • Windows XP and built-in microphone does not work

I had reviewed similar topics, but I couldn't find a clear solution.

My laptop is XP and has a built-in microphone.  I tried Skype and the microphone does not work.  It was not used in the past2 or 3 years, but it has been running at the same time.  Use Audacity for school work.  Can't do the part of speech recognition because I'm working with Office 2007 as it says XP and Office 2007 do not work.

Any ideas to fix or am I destined for an external mic?  or would that even work?

    MB

With respect to the built-in microphone, you may need to reinstall the audio drivers from the manufacturers Web site.

As far as the webcam goes, as long as its compatible I guess it will work fine.

Malware or virus infections can have harmful effects on a computer, even if they have been deleted. The only sure way to never remove infections from virus or malware is to reinstall Windows.

  • Re: Satellite A300-15F - XP's built-in microphone does not work

I downgraded from VISTA to XP on my new A300-15E.
Everything is normal except for the built-in microphone.

There is only a driver for webcam on the Web site.
Do I need a driver for the microphone?

    Hello

In my opinion, you must also install the webcam software because there is a link between the internal mic and the webcam.
But usually, the microphone is controlled by the audio driver and you should also check the microphone settings in

    Panel-> sounds & audio devices-> tab volume-> advanced-> control volume mic-> Advanced button

    Hello

Satellite M300 is unclear to me that I guess that it s not a European series of Toshiba.

You said that the microphone doesn t work, but are you sure that this laptop was equipped with the internal mic to 100%?

In many cases claim that a device internal doesn t work but in most cases such device (internal microphone for example) is not available.

How to do a system restore in Windows 7
    http://www.SevenForums.com/tutorials/700-system-restore.html

    =========

    If necessary:

It's probably the pilots who are responsible and who may not really be later or they need to be
re-installed anyway. The best way is to manually review using the methods below.

References to Vista also apply to Windows 7.

Control Panel - device - SOUNDS - look for HD Audio Manager - Mine said RealTek High
Audio definition (this is an example and you can have an other name/maker).

Write the description and the model double click on it - tab drivers - write down
Version. Now click on update drivers who cannot do anything as MS is far behind certifying
drivers. Then CLICK RIGHT on it and UNINSTALL - REBOOT - this will rebuild the driver
    stack.

You can have the default windows or a former certified pilot and it's all or part of the
    issue.

Now, go to the site of the manufacturer of the system and get the latest Audio/Sound drivers - download - SAVE - go to
where you put - right-click on Reboot - RUN AS ADMIN-

Check the Version tab of the driver in the Device Manager as the restoration of the sound card drivers often
and then install the latest version. Restart and check after each test, not
rare to have to run the pilot of 1 to 4 times or more. Just the version make sure you
installed shows upward on the tab of the driver.

Go to the site of the manufacturer of the device, and then search for the even more recent drivers and install repeat
operating mode. Download - SAVE - go to where you put them - click on - RUN AS
    ADMIN - Reboot

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

Installation and update of drivers to 7 (updated drivers manually using the methods above is)
to ensure that the latest drivers from the manufacturer of system and device manufacturers are are preferably)
    http://www.SevenForums.com/tutorials/43216-installing-updating-drivers-7-a.html

    ---------------------------------------------------------

    After the updated driver.

Click with the right button on the speaker near clock - recorders - right click in the box - check see the
Disconnected devices and show disabled devices - check your micro - highlight
then on lower right properties. Make sure that the appropriate injector is selected and check
other parameters - levels tab make sure that MUTE is disabled and APPLY / OK to change
    .

Also in the search for some Audio Manager Panel (perhaps named after the manufacturer of the sound driver). Mine
is the RealTek Audio Manager, yours can be quite different name if you have one.

    Hey.

    I'm on HP Pavilion dv6 1330-er.

The problem is - my microphone and webcam microphone worked fine until this morning from yesterday. The night before I was talking with my friend on Skype and then went to sleep. When I woke up - input mic webcam and mic were not working.

    I use Windows 7 Ultimate x 64

Nothing like this has happened before.

Video webcam itself works very well. Headset works fine.
Tried to reinstall the driver - didn't work.

Laptop resting on the table, just as I left it in the evening

Have 2 different windows installed on my laptop (the other is windows XP, not a single program installed, a few drivers) - microphones do not work.

The microphone even on different PC works fine.
The system detects the headset microphone and webcam microphone and the system shows when I take micro helmet inside and out.

I have no idea what's wrong with audio input. Maybe you guys can help, thank you.

    Hi again toxyyy,

    Thanks for the quick response!

According to the information provided in your post, I advise you to follow this document on the use of the Recovery Manager to restore the software and drivers (Windows 7). This should restore the drivers software and hardware of origin provided with your computer. Once the software installation is complete, please follow this document on using the HP Support Assistant to update your system drivers.

For the component XP from your computer, I recommend later in this document on the no sound (Windows 98, ME and XP). This should help to restore the sound on the side of the XP for your operating system.

Please re-post with the results of your troubleshooting, and I look forward to your response!
