Burning music files on my formatted drive of difficulties

I'm trying to burn a file on a disk formatted, re-writable. The computer tells me to insert a disc into drive D, but once I do, the disc is ejected automatically and the computer does not recognize my drive. It gives me an error message "Insert blank cd and windows will automatically burn once the computer recognizes.

Hello

What happens if you close all programs and then put in a disk?

========================================

If necessary:

Please make all below even if you have done some before as it is often the set of operations which solves
the question.

Try this - Panel - Device Manager - CD/DVD - double-click on the device - driver tab - click
Update the drivers (this will probably do nothing) - then RIGHT click the drive - UNINSTALL - REBOOT
This will refresh the default driver stack. Even if the reader does not appear to continue below.

Then, work your way through these - don't forget the drive might be bad, could be a loose cable or
slight corrosion on the contacts (usually for a laptop) and other issues.

Another possibility is that the cables are loose. Remove ALL power, then make sure that the cables in both
ends. Remove and replace, do not just tight. For laptops, you can often clean power and
contacts data with a pencil eraser.

Some DVD players do not use the Windows default drivers so check with the manufacturer of system and
manufacturer of device to see if there is a firmware or drivers for your drive if necessary.

Hope these helps.

Then when you do a right click on a particular track (or tracks) you will see the option "create mp3 version". Who will find then in your folder iTunes music, parallel to the m4a version. • How export a classical music files to a flash drive in the right order?

How can we keep the music files in the correct order when exported from a playlist on an external drive? Once the external hard disk, they are all mixed up!

The order of storing files on a drive doesn't really matter.  When you view the player using the Finder, they are sorted and displayed based on the current state of the Finder window (for example, alphabetically by filename or sorted by file size).  You don't see the files in any real order.

What is the real question you ask?  Why is it necessary to have music files stored in a certain order?

  • music files in .aiff format with encoded path names, but are not displayed in Windows Media Player or iTunes.

I have several CDs with music files engraved on them, but when I play one any of them in WMP or iTunes, music plays, but each track does not have a name.  They appear as the track track 01, 02, etc.. The music files are in .aiff format. Now, here's the clincher, the same CD will play in my car stereo and display the name of the track.

Are you sure that they are in the format .aiff? It looks more like an actual audio CD for me (in this case, the music files will have a .cda extension when displayed in Windows Explorer).

If it's an audio CD, then it probably has info CD-text engraved on it. You can install the plugin WMPCDText allowing WMP read this info. Unfortunately, there doesn't exist a plugin similar to iTunes.

    Hello

    (1) what format you want to burn music files?

    (2) what software do you use to burn the files? It's Windows Media Player, iTunes, etc.?

You will need to use a conversion application to change the format of files. There are tons of free programs available to achieve this. Use your favorite search engine to search for "mpeg-4, wma, mp3 converter.

For any further assistance regarding the troubleshooting, you must connect with this particular software product support.

  • music file will not play in second hard drive double click Error "" the requested operation requires a rise ".

Original title: music file won't play second hard drive by double click.

    Windows 7 ultimate/64

I have a second hard drive on which I store my music files. If I open a player (Foobar is what I use now) and open the music file in the program, he plays very well, since the second HD.

But if I double click on the music file (.mp3, usually), I get the message:

"The requested operation requires a rise."

I think it should open in the player by default when I do that.

I remember well, it wasn't the case when I started to use this computer (it's fairly new), while something might have changed.
I have the .mp3, .wav etc all default extensions for the Foobar player program.

I went through elaborate measures to appropriate the entire disk and have granted full permissions for me as a user, following to the letter one of the many sites of the detailed instructions for this operation. But there is no help in sight.
Original title: music file won't play second hard drive by double click

So I can let my reader opens a music file leave a second drive, but I can't call him by double click or click right/context citing the player. When I do that, nothing happens, but I don't get the message "requires a rise."

Every time I think that I am getting to know Windows 7, something like this happens. Avoid to receive life dull, of course.

Thanks a lot for your suggestions. I've pretty much exhausted my own attempts.

    Jack

Update: I think I've solved the problem. I have no idea that what caused it, but here's what fixed it:

1 uninstalled Foobar with usual Control Panel uninstall
2A through the startup disk everything and delete folders or files with the name "foobar" in them.
3 did the same for the registry (creating a point of restoration first, of course)
    4 restarted
    5 download and install Foobar.

    Yes.

    Works very well.

A big thank you to all who responded.

    Jack

  • Transfer the library to new MBP of old MBP with music on an external hard drive

I bought a new MBP a few months ago and have not had time to properly set up immediately. I finally get to it and have met some problems with my iTunes library transfer and re-use of my music files on an existing external drive. I always kept my music files on a separate drive in order to keep the laptop drive as empty as possible for other tasks.

    News old MBP:

    OS x 10.6.8

    iTunes 11.4

Library was on the hard drive of the MBP

Music files were on an external drive, called 'LACIE_MINI '.

    New Intel MBP:

    10.10.5 OSX

    iTunes 12.3.2.35

I copied the old iTunes library to the same location on the new MBP and he watched the iTunes. Load library very well however, even if the LACIE_MINI drive is connected to the laptop, the files cannot be located in iTunes. When looking for the location of the file under 'Get Info', it points to the correct place (file://localhost/Volumes/LACIE MINI/music //) but it won't "find" and play the audio file.

To make things a touch more confusing to me, I bought a WD MyCloud NAS with the intention that she be host store all my files music and video. My goal was to eliminate the need to always have my external plugged in when you work with iTunes. I don't know what is the reliability of this facility would be.

From there, I have a few questions:

1 when your stay with my files on my external and do not use the SIN, how I have it properly locate all the music files?

    2. who is the most reliable way to access my music? Through the plugged in external or NAS?

    3. should I do to keep my music on my external and load from there or make use of the NAS?

    Thank you

    K

I copied the old iTunes library to the same location on the new MBP

You copied into the folder full of the record of the music user account from the old Mac to the same location on the new Mac iTunes ?

I noticed that the external drive is named LACIE_MINI on old Mac.  The new Mac, in the path of the song file, he says LACIE MINI with no underscore between the words.  Is it a typing mistake in your post or the real difference?

For your other questions, a directly connected external drive is more reliable and faster, as the location of your iTunes media files.

  • music files

I transferred all my music files on a flash drive.  The old computer was XP and Windows 7 (newer is not always better).  Now how do we install music from the flash drive in Windows media player?

    Hello

I had to do by simply copying the files in libraries / my music folder. Windows Media Player detects all the files in this directory. Works fantastic.

  • Display music files in iTunes but do not appear under my folder music in XP

I just opened the My Music folder, and most of my music files and folders have disappeared - I have no idea how that happened as I didn't move all the files to another location. However, these 'missing' files still play on iTunes, but when I search for them, they are not displayed. What can I do to make these files appear in the music folder?

    Thank you very much.
    * original title - Lost music files *.

Unfortunately, I do not use any iStuff or iDevices.

But if possible I would try to save the music files which are playable in a different location via the iTunes player - if possible.

This can create an identical copy of your music, but it is better to create a backup copy while you still can.

in all cases, sometimes the files become not indexed in the master file table.

what you might try is to run a disk check which reconcile the file system.

by the way, you either have your music files on the same drive that has your programs and windows system files?

If so, then the music files can also be very fragmented.

If it was my system I would separate permanently from the personal files, photo and music off the coast the main drive.
