  We know not what you work with to get what you want, but if you want to use string to the objects of the target values, you can use the notation of support...

  Yes it works :) tested with the raise method jython and it overrides the actual value at run time.

  If you have any default value of the variable at runtime interface he will come, or else the last value stored in your variable will be used.
  Without history and without a default value means that you will get exception variable has no value.

  The name of the connection variable was not the same as the name of the variable you use to tie the value. It is a positional notation, the variable so first after using will first bind variable (identified by :))

  Yes you can see the business rules in planning if you associate with a planning application, you can also pass on information of Member of web forms in variables.
  Not all customers who purchase essbase also buy planning and business rules can be used either with you it is important to make two connections.

  There is no option for get about it. Just type in your rule

• Use of Variables in a Script of Essbase report

  I know you can use a variable in a script with Essbase report & at the beginning of the name.  Example & CurMonth.  This works very well for me.  But, you can use & FcstMonths when the value of the months are more than one Member?  It works in a calc script when & FcstMonths = March, April, may, June... etc, but, when I use it in a report script, the script will not validate the saying "unknown member of the value.  I tried to change it to January.February.March... etc.  I also tried February: December.  None of them does not seem to work.  Is it just not possible for Essbase report?  Thanks in advance.

  If you want to include a list of members in the report script, you specify the members separated by spaces.  If you set the variable...

  "Mar" "Apr" "May" "Jun" "Jul" "Aug" "Sep" "Oct" "Nov" "Dec"

  I tried lauching business rule by using the command line utility CalcMgrCmdLineLauncher.cmd. The syntax I used is \Planning\planning1 > CalcMgrCmdLineLauncher.cmd A:Samp U:admin D:PL /R:AGGR F:Agg.xml. I get the following error when executing the command-

  I selected the correct application of planning in the locations tab and assigned administrator privileges on the tab of the business rule access privileges.   No, you can use the CmdLnLauncher utility located in the installation of Regional service directory, it will be under eas\console\bin

  I want to create an external table.
  Then I use the command
  create or replace directory abc as "C:\folder"... within a sql file.
  
  Now, I want "C:\folder" way to be dynamic I use this path in many other places also inside the sql file. So I thought to create an environment variable and set this value. I tried using like %Path% but it gives error... where % PATH%=C:\folder.
  Can I use a variable of environment inside a *.sql file?
  But how to do it or is there another way.

  Is it possible that I can use a variable binding in a query of VO just once?

  I test a query that keeps throwing the Houston-27122 error by pressing the application module tester. I tried to limit the problem to the simplest possible case, and it seems that the error is caused by the fact that I use the same variable bind two or more times.

  When the query looks like this:

  

  I have run, enter 'x' and it returns me the result.

  When I change to:

  and immediately get the error

  It depends on:

  Open your VO in JDev and go the the query page.

  In the lower part, there is a drop down 'link type', it is usually set to "JDBC-positional. In this case, you will need to provide the bind value for each occurrence of the variable binding separately.

  You could change that to "named" (don't remember the exact name). But beware, this will also affect all relatioships master retail to others your. I think that this is not a good idea to change the style of binding to a single VO.
