  I have Oracle EPM 11.1.2.1 installed on AIX 6.1 server. The Oracle EMP server crash. I have only a backup of database schemas. Can I restore HBR? Only a database backup is sufficient to restore? In the scheme of the EAS, I can see descriptions of business rules. Where scripts is the store?

• Failed connection business rule

  When I try to access the Business Rules in the business SEA view (I am logged on as administrator), it is said

• Failed to refresh the database after a forced shutdown of the business rule

  Hello Experts!
  
  I am currently test and adjustment of performance of business rules in Hyperion Planning 9.3.1. I started a business rule in the Regional service Console that ran a lot too long so I decided to stop it manually. But after this manual stop when I try to refersh Essbase of Hyperion Planning (Administration > manage the database > database update) I get the following error:
  
  + com.hyperion.planning.olap.EssbaseException: impossible to restructure. There are other active users on the database [%s] (1013101).
  
  I remember having forced company rule stops earlier in other Hyperion Planning 9.3.1 deployments and they did not generate such errors. So could you help me on how to stop Hyperion Planning of this error after manual business rule stops because it's very likely I'll have do them in the future? Thank you very much!

  Are you sure he permanently stopped and everyone is out of the database, you can enter into the EAS, see view sessions.

  In environmental assessment if you right-click the rule and select "Automate the Variables to launch" you can generate xml with the guests, guests are business rule variables, void vars do not appear in this way.

  • have a member of the system in your dimension that you can use as a flag. You set it to 1 as the beginning of the rule to indicate he runs, 0 / #Missing at the end of the rule to indicate is finished. You then add a @RETURN to leave the calculation if this flag is set to 1 in your rule. Just be careful about this because if for any reason the calculation fails, or is killed by an admin then your flag is set to 1, but you can still have a form of admin to reset these flags easily if necessary.

  But I want to have my business rule editor/designer as a stand-alone web application for the use of analysts to create the new rule, modify existing and... .without deployment main editing application and rules affected on app at runtime.

• The way a var as argument works do not (business rule)

• Business rules in soa suite 11 g

  Hi all

  I'm trying to understand the rules of trade to oracle 11g. I have the following questions: -.

  1. If the SOA and Admin Server restart, go back to the status of business rules to the State of origin?

  Lets say, I have a business rule where the credit limit is less than 100 (Limitecredit < 100) it's my rule of origin. This rule was changed so such that the value of credit limit is now 200 (Limitecredit, 200) to the composer SOA. Now if the SOA and Admin Server is restarted, the business rule will get back to the original state i.e. (Limitecredit < 100). Please let me know because I don't have an environment now to test this point.

  2. What is the difference between 'say again' and 'Edit' actions?

  1. about this one: no, the State is saved in the schema of metadata (data base). If you restart your server, the values of the rule would be with the last value entered.

  2. with 'say again' a new charge is created, for example if you receive a Limitecredit and if this value is less than 100 you create a new message with information about the benefits of credit. But when you use 'Edit', you change an existing load, for example, if your Limitecredit is less than 100, the attribute 'requireManualApproval' of the current message received would be updated to false.

  I'm developing an application of classical planning using Hyperoin 11.1.2.2

  I came across a scenario where a specific business rule is executed when the data are recorded on a specific data form. (IE run save the data form item)

  Currently, this rule executes all Member of the entity Dimension.

  Is it possible that this rule is run only for one member of the entity (that is currently selected in the Section Page of this form of data)

  Please note: I don't want to use run the guests of time i.e. I don't want my user to explicitly specify which Member of the entity in the RPT. In our its obvious business logic this business rule is only required to run for the member selected in the entity Dimension

  You must create a Variable of RTP of the type member, when you associate this rule save this form of data, select the option use members on forms of data and hide guests in this way you don't get the window prompt and BR will perform for a specific entity.

  I just re thinking about your message. My comments above is not correct for your situation. The syntax above is correct if you are talking about the code 'in' the model itself (so if you open the template and look at the code). But if the code you have posted in your messages made from the window of script of the rule (in script view) then your problem is something different potentially.

  So the first thing is to make sure that in the model itself (open model), the PDT is defined in the global range or range of Member as [Parm1], [Parm2] etc. (or difficulty, depends on the way the model is shown) as I said in my first reply above, the model only defines the DTP, not members and must be placed between square brackets , as [Parm1}. Who will make that the DTP as defined in your model correctly. Then we need to look at how you define these PDT in the rule itself. Normally, it is much easier if your rule is in the chart view, as you just click on the model and you can enter the values. As you have your rule in Script mode, you must be very careful about how you set the values of the PAO. Every DTP 'type' has a different syntax in script mode.

  Looking at your script again I see another problem potentially. When you set the values in the DTP, the value must locking with double brackets, so [['three year Budget"]]. In your script, you must also in brackets. That is not always correct. There are moments between brackets and double square brackets is correct, but it is only when your DTP is of type 'Members', and by default, according to me, old macros of business rule translates into templates with the "Script" DTP types

  So, if you also change your business section where the models are defined as below; (as you can see, without parentheses around the DTP values).

  The end of the game should be that when you open your rule and the view script and script tab then select low bottom your models should look as below, as you can see, everything that needs to be included in the script are the values substituted for the definition of the model, the key point is that there are no brackets or parentheses.   I have a question about business rules. We have a lot of business rules for our planning application, and I wanted to know if there is a way to export all sort of business rule names in an Excel type file?

  You can run a query against the relational tables planning and get the names of BR from there.
