  I need to replace 2009 15 my daughter "MB Pro.  She is in graduate studies for teaching, the basis of the two models would be my limit of crazy, and they are both sold at the same price.

  I have a Macbook pro 13 "2015 Retina and a Macbook from 2015.  I am a moderate user, usually by e-mail, word processing, spreadsheets, browing web, etc...  The Macbook Pro is my main computer.  I use it at home for personal and professional tasks, and I use it with a Thunderbolt screen so I have a bigger screen.   I travel often and that's when I use the Macbook because of its light weight and smaller profile.  I am very satisfied with these two machines.  Based on my experience and your description of the use, either machine would probably work.  However, if I had to recommend one, it would be the Macbook Pro with the retina display.  It has more capabilities for future use and a number of ports that can be useful in the future.  You should also consider a screen 15 "If your daughter will have several documents open at the same time.   Hi all

  even if my XPS Dell 15z has not officially tested for Windows 10 and probably never will be tested, I've upgraded to Windows 10 yesterday.

  Everything seems pretty fine, with the exception of the (still horrible) Cypress Touchpad.
  This is what happened:

  1. after the upgrade is complete, I found that Windows has installed the Synaptics Touchpad drivers.
  2. my trackpad has worked, with the exception of no multi touch gestures.
  3. I uninstalled all drivers, cleaned the files + registry via CCleaner and restarted every time as needed
  4. I installed the drivers that I learned from this post: en.community.dell.com/.../19579806
  5. I checked if two-finger-scroll has been enabled in the driver configuration utility, checked and unchecked the boxes several times
  6. I tried all kinds of other bug fixes for the infamous Cypress Trackpad in Windows 8 pilot and so on

  Overall, nothing is done - in addition to the basic features that the generic driver provides also, I have absolutely no gestures of support. Just the driver doesn't seem to work at all, despite running in the background.

  There seems to be similar problems with the Synaptics drivers, just that there seems to be some bugs for her.

  I have absolutely no hope that Dell will come out a driver halfway decent for this piece of junk they call a trackpad, but perhaps that other users have an idea on how to solve this problem.

  On my iMac (2010), I use 11 items to edit AVCHD video. It's a Sony Handycam to the 1080i format.

  When I want to read only my clips on my Mac, I use VLC without problem. If you want to change on other Mac software,

  for example, iMovie, you must convert the mts file. I converted a video to mp4, for tests with iMovie or reading

  On the differences between the elements and Premiere Pro, Pro is a standard of video editing for years, it has many functions.

  I'm so happy that Adobe did not create a download version of the CS6 file install .dmg for my Mac OSX Lion file just big enough so it would not fit on a standard DVD-R!  My method to get around this was to zip the .dmg file and then burn it to a DVD-R.  He's still barely!  Now, I have a back-up system for my readers and I guess I could always recover like that but why Adobe Creative installation of files bigger than we can create a back-up copy for?  Very annoyed.  Also, if I reinstall the file .dmg, I understand that I have to put the file in the same directory I initially installed it since...  What happens if I don't know what directory I used to install it since?  Nonsense!

  In addition, I have two .dmg files which were considered as additional content...  What they contained were files of fonts...  Without direction on what I'm supposed to do with these fonts?  How to install?  Where can I find in my Apps CS6?

  Another annoyance, that's why the Classroom In A Book Series are always a month AFTER we have the new version?  What are we supposed to do without instructions on the use of their products!  Something Adobe is pretty bad subject (and has always been that way).

  Just a suggestion. As software continuously grows, you should probably run into this more. An alternative is to back up your software for a cloud like Dropbox service. (Plus, you'll now buy MacBook Air computers and eventually the new versions of the MacBook Pro without DVD players.)

  Regardless of the number of cycles a battery has gone through, replace the battery with five years of service.  Age is a factor in the health of a lithium-ion battery.

  Assuming a battery will last in its setting of 1000 cycles design (most don't) suggests that 200 cycles per year would be realistic.  The MBP you are considering have 300 cycles seems to be quite normal given his age.  I wouldn't worry.

  You always bought what you paid for.  There may be exchange for privileges, or you may be able to sell your privately purchased item and then buy a new one.  Or you can be very happy with your purchase and keep and enjoy.

  In the case of the MacBook, if you buy a new computer running El Capitan, you will certainly be able to upgrade to MacOS Sierra once that came out later in the fall.

  If you can wait and explore the unknown, with unknown characteristics and an unknown release date, or you can buy a known quantity as soon as possible.

  Apple only can answer such a question, and the terms of use for these forums discourage us discuss what Apple plans to do.

  I too have a MBP 2010.  I installed an SSD and that increased performance.  Consider that as an option.

  You may experience other problems that slows down your MBP.  Before commit you the important cash for a new MBP, examine the potential software problems that may be responsible for the poor performance.  With the SSD, my 2010 works better than the day he came out of the box.
