By alphabetical order of the blackBerry Smartphones Contact

I have a BB Pearl 8100 and I transferred all the contacts from my PC (outlook) to the phone. All right, all the contacts were in the right order (whether if sorted by first or last name) BUT subsequently change the details of a contact (number or address) sometimes the contact is automatically moved in the wrong position (at the beginning of the list) and this situation does not change even if I change the mode of sorting or restart the device. Now my address book is made of two lists: one of A to Z and another from A to Z again.

Please, can someone help me? I found nothing about this problem.

Thank you

  • Anniversary of the blackBerry Smartphones Contact

    Hi all!

I am trying to add birthdays to some of my contacts, but it seems impossible to go earlier than the year 1960. Is there a solution? Not everyone is younger than the age of 50, you know.

I just looked at my Blackberry and added a birthday for a friend... I typed in the year 1940, saved and it took it... so you can actually enter into the Blackberry, simply type in the year...

  • Delivers the blackBerry Smartphones Contacts?

I'm sorry I'm sorry if this has been covered a million times before, but I have tried for hours on this issue!

OK, today I got my Blackberry Curve 8520 - very nice etc.  My old phone is a Sony Ericsson C902.  Transferred all contacts to SIm, put the SIM in Blackberry - and now, all contacts are returned to front etc.  Have you tried the thing "first name" and it makes no difference.

Thus, for example, a contact that was previously

    Poppy Malby

    is now

    MALBoppy/1

    and Jenny with Otto

    is now

    With: Jenny/1

I am a trainer of dogs for many of my contacts are owners name, and the name of dogs like Jenny with Otto.

I have loaded the software on my laptop in the hope I can adjust it somehow here, but I can't even to do.

I returned a phone LG week last because of similar problems please please help me to resolve this issue!

    Thank you

    Penel

Since nobody has added any help more - I thought I'd let people know how I solved this on my own in case anyone has the same problem in the future.

I'm not not using the method of SIM card transfer contacts at all.

Instead I connected my Sony Ericsson to my laptop, used the software provided and saved all the contacts to Outlook.  Then connected the BB to the laptop and transfer the contacts in this way, they all fell on 100% correct - took me about 10 minutes.  Wish that I hadn't lost seven hours the previous night!

When someone in my contacts list calls my BB Bold 9930, I don't see the name of the contact, just the phone number.  However, when my BB is unlocked and someone in my contacts list calls then I see the name associated with the number.  When the phone is locked so I don't see the number.  How I see the name of the appellant for all those who are in my list of contacts even when my phone is locked?  Thanks for any help.

  • with the update, my alphabetical order of the contact group got screwed up.  How can I get it organized again

My iPhone has updated, then my alphabetical order of the contact group got all out or sequence and mixed up.

How can I get it organized again?

    Hi, Dinyross.

    Please visit Apple support communities.

I understand that your contacts are not in alphabetical order.  Depending on whether you want to view by the first or last name, make sure that sort and order of two display show all first, last or last, first.

    Contacts settings

Go to settings > Mail, Contacts, calendars, where you can:

    • Change the way contacts are sorted

    • Display contacts by first name or name

    • Change how long names are abbreviated in the lists

    • Choose to display favorite and recent contacts in the form of multitasking

    • Define a default account for new contacts

    • Set your My Info card

    • Set if the updates and new contacts are automatically derived from mail you receive

  • Response of the blackBerry Smartphones can not email!

Suddenly, since I've updated my BB 8520, I find I can send and receive email - but do not answer them!  Any ideas as to why?

Hello and welcome to the community!

After updates or then get email of wobbly, I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message to your BB to come...) Please wait for this before moving on to the next step):

    (1) registry HRT

    • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network
    • Please wait a 'registration' message reach your Messages application

    (2) remove and return Service directories

    • KB05000 Remove the maintenance book for the BlackBerry Internet Service email account in the BlackBerry smartphone
    • If you do not have access CMIME, continue deleting
    • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service
    • Please wait "the Activation' Messages, one per already configured e-mail account, arrive in your Messages. If you have not already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.

    (3) restart to take batt

    • Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

I hope that will move things again for you! If not, then you should try remove and re-add your BIS configuration for these accounts. Otherwise, you should contact your mobile provider for formal support.

    Good luck!

  • For the blackBerry Smartphones Reset network settings

    Hello

I was wondering if anyone can tell me how to reset the network settings on a Blackberry Curve 8520, I can find on how to do a complete reset but not a network reset. Your would be much appreciated.

    Thank you very much

N.. completely different. For your mobile network, with a strong network carrier (for example, not only WiFi), I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message from your BB... Please wait just before moving on to the next step):

    1) register HRT

    • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network
    • Please wait a 'registration' message reach your Messages application

    2) Remove and return Service books

    • KB05000 Remove the maintenance book for the BlackBerry Internet Service email account in the BlackBerry smartphone
    • If you do not have access CMIME, continue deleting
    • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service
    • Please wait "the Activation' Messages, one per already configured e-mail account, arrive in your Messages. If you have not already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.

    3) restart

    • With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes.
    • See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

I hope that will move things again for you! If not, then you should try remove and re-add your configurations for the relevant accounts. Otherwise, you should contact your mobile provider for formal support.

For the wireless, there is no sort directly 'reset' nothing beyond removing and reconfiguring of the WiFi network configurations. Beyond that, things as device WIPE, reloading the OS, and other very drastic measures would be required. And, important to note, I have no way of knowing if this is really necessary... you did not no matter what description of what happens, so it is not possible to understand your situation and you give more targeted recommendations.

    Good luck!

Who can I contact with to register a support plan?

One of the evangelists 'Developer' RIM working outside South Africa, I think, so there should be someone local you can talk too.  If you message Mark Sohm (the RIM name you will see a lot on the forum - MSohm), with your e-mail address and it ask to put you in contact with the Developer Evangelist in SA, which should help.  You can tell Mark to ask me if he needs clarification.  Do not promise anything either but I hope that something will happen.

I just downloaded the 10 for iphone ios and my downloaded music is now alphabetically by artist when I click on the songs. Is there a way I can fix this so that it is in alphabetical order by the name of the song instead?

  • 12.3.2.35 iTunes (Windows) playlists don't are more order in alphabetical order in the playlist files.

Since the update is more 12.3.2.35 in Windows 10 iTunes playlists, order by alphabetical order in the playlist files in the view window under "Playlists" on the left. The last view playlist is moved to the end of the playlist of this folder and in the mess? Each subsequent playlist in this folder that is seen is leaving at the end of this list. Is it possible to rearrange playlists alphabetically again? I tried to change the options at the top right, but they do not seem to change anything other than in the viewed folder or playlist in the main window?

Seems to be a bug in this version.  The order of the playlist is corrected if you exit and then restart iTunes - not that it is really a 'solution '.

I bought my BB Torch not too long ago, but it seems that I could fill up to the brim with SMS because it asks me to delete some to make room for more.

Keep Messages on SIM - check no.
