  I have a customer who has a Windows Server 2003 computer, which they use for a few years now. Recently we have added a few machines of Windows 8 and we had problems with some of the shared folders.

  More mobile users have at least two drives network - their documents folder and the folder of the main Department. Some users will see a folder but not the other and will be given an authentication error when they attempt to connect or an error that says that a network drive, or a shared folder already exists with that name.

  I even made the folder annoying the home folder in the profile of the field of the user with the same results.

  The members property is an array of string, so the 3rd parameter to SetPropertyObjectByOffset requires a string property object, IE. the user name and not of the user object. From the will of the user object error with '-17308; Specified value is not the expected type. ». The example should really be using SetValStringByOffset to be clearer so that you only specify the user name of the actual string.

  I don't know if this is the right place to post this question, I develop software to support VMWare PCoIP and need to know how to get the host name of the physical machine (which manages the virtual machine and View Client) within a virtual machine before the user logs in Windows of the virtual machine.

  I understand there are two ways to read the host name, via the HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Volatile Environment registry and environment variables, but they are available once the user is connected. I need info before the user connects.
