  • [Solved] IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL Error when installing Windows

I tried to update my system Windows 7 to Windows 10, but during the installation, I got the IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL blue screen and after it restored to Windows 7 I got the notification that the installation of Windows 10 stopped with the 0xC1900101 error code - 0x2000C.

After I disabled most of my hardware and uninstalled all of my programs, who have used the virtual hardware and I still have this error I tried to reinstall Windows 7. But during the installation, I got a blue screen with the same error and technical information, I do not understand:

(Sorry, I don't have all of the 2nd to the last line, but the only thing missing is a 0)

So I guess it must be a hardware problem. Can someone identify what problem it is maybe?

As I read somewhere, it might be due to the RAM, I ran MemTest86, but unfortunately I do not know how to interpret the results. I only noticed, which proved of MemTest86 memory, addresses that should not exist as far as I know that (I) have 8 GB of RAM and the only errors were produced in some of these addresses:

That would mean, the RAM is responsible for the blue screen? And if so, can it be fixed, or I have to buy new RAM?

    My system:

    CPU: Intel i5-750

GPU: MSI GTX 970 games 4G

    RAM: 2 x G.Skill 4 GB DDR3 DIMM Kit - 1600

    Radio: Samsung EcoGreen F2 1.5 TB, SATA 3 Gb/s (HD154UI)

Thank you in advance for your help!

If you need additional information, feel free to ask.

Enter the BIOS a voltage increase of memory by a small amount, and then relaunch Memtest86. As is - what you are configured to use XMP mode?

You have the most recent version

    Memtest86 +:

This is going from a boot floppy / CD or USB and must eliminate or confirm if one or more of your sticks of memory are bad or the values of the SPD in the BIOS are correct.

Let it run for as long as you can: 2,4,6,8 or several hours (at least 3 full passes), if no errors at that time then your ram is OK.

  • Bluescreen error C000021a, when installing Windows 7

    Hi all

I get this blue screen whenever I try to install windows 7.
    Details you need to know:
    • I just replaced my hard drive with a new one.
    • Old hard drive: 500 GB Samsung SATA.
    • New hard drive: SATA 500 GB Western Digital.
    • Laptop model is MSI FX420.
    • Previous operating system before replacing the hard drive is Windows 7.
    • What I'm trying to do is install Windows 7.
Problem - cannot install because after windows loads the files for installation, and just after the windows logo appears, the blue screen appears.

    Hello world

Thanks for your replies. I've solved this problem and the solution is quite simple - installed Windows 8 instead of Windows 7. I don't know if it's my installation disc which is the problem (but was probably not) or the version of the OS is to be installed. But of course, it wasn't a problem of compatibility or functionality with my hard drive.
My assumption, it seems that the installation process of Windows 8 is different from Windows 7 in a way that win 8 has been able to complete the installation successfully without displaying error then Win 7 displays a blue screen error just after loading of the installation files. Maybe it's trying to find old stuff from my old hard drive configuration? (Sorry no idea on this area in concrete).
Good news is that my laptop now works on Windows 8 Pro! Hope that helps people out there with similar problem.
    Thank you!
  • Error: "could not create a new partition or locate a" when installing Windows via Boot Camp 10

This error occurs on my 2012 15-inch MacBook Pro. I have 2 hard drives. One dedicated to OSX and one for Windows. This is my first install bootcamp. I let bootcamp create partitions, but to the partition/disk screen hard to choose, I get a message saying: "we could not create a new partition or locate a.. The partition has been formatted to NTFS. I tried later in this guide community post here: error: "we could not create a new partition or locate and existing" install Windows via Bootcamp 8.1, but no luck. I even tried to delete the partitions and create a partition empty for windows so it can create and format on its own and start using EFI. At this point, windows begins to install it and restart, but it fails during the part material recording and restarts. Then when it starts again I get a message that the installation has failed.

Here's some output terminal which can help you to (I) hope.

You must disconnect the internal bus 500 GB SATA drive and use a flashdrive USB2 for OS X from startup. The 320 GB designated drive must be in the main Bay of the Mac. Once Windows is installed, reconnect your 500 GB drive in the Optibay (if you this road main Bay) will be Windows blue screen in most cases.
