C7T77AA: Pavilion 23fi horizontal lines

Hi, I have a 23 inch HP monitor. Was working fine until I noticed blurred and horizontal lines to the left of the screen.

About 6 inches from left to right. Center and to the right of the screen is still very clear.

Please help, how can I fix it? Thank you.

If the unit is out of warranty, it is out of warranty.

Very few electronic devices is delivered with more than a one year warranty. Some high-end portable computers they included with the purchase of the guarantee two years. It is the de facto standard in the electronics industry.

It is regrettable, but there is nothing that we in the support forum can do to help you with this. This isn't a business unit of HP, we are employees. We are volunteers.

You can contact HP directly and inquire about all the support of the warranty for your screen.

Pavilion 2 10 x is reallly nice and convenient to use. But I just bought for a few days now. Up to date he used ok, but lately had sudden jamms and power cuts, forcing me to press on the button / stop along to reset.

It all started when I was watching videos on youtube, and then all of a sudden he started the blackout, with many dotted horizontal lines and buzzing sounds. After reset, an ok for awhile.

Then I start to find this forum to ask for help, then, without even looking at videos, it reacts even once again! Then I repeated the hard reset.  Now I am writing you in the hope that the prob persists not again all of a sudden.

Can someone explain what and how does work? ANY WAY to solve this problem? Material, problem or due to win 8 updates?

  • HP pavilion dv7-6b55dx - line quarter inch Horizontal gray in the middle of the screen

Recently bought a HP pavilion dv7-6b55dx notebook from Best Buy.  Recently, the screen started to have a quarter inch gray horizontal line in the middle of it.  Gray line has more grey lines inside.  6 month warranty just expired.  Y at - it 'easy' for this solution or the screen is just broken?

It is usually the screen.  LaptopScreen.com has replacements for usually less then $60, which includes shipping. To be sure that it is the screen, connect an external monitor and make sure that there is no grey lines on the external monitor.  If there is, then it is assumed the video chip. Move fourth screen of the laptop and see if the lines disappear.  If they do, then it is the cable from the motherboard to the screen.

  • a light horizontal line across my screen

Product name: HP Pavilion dm4 Notebook PC

    Product number: WQ874UA #ABA

A light horizontal line appears from nowhere through my laptop screen. What could be the cause? And how can I solve this problem?

You only a few days left of warranty then contact HP as soon as POSSIBLE and make a claim. The store may not deal with warranty HP claims then call HP right now. After the phone call, I would visit the store of follow-up.

It's a motherboard problem, pointed it out the fact that the symptoms appear on the external screen clearly. If it was just the screen of the laptop, you would have a good image on the external monitor. The video card on the motherboard is at the origin of the problem on the external monitor as well.

Anyway it doesn't matter what is my diagnosis, communicate RIGHT NOW WITH HP AND DO a WARRANTY CLAIM!

  • 15 "MacBook Pro early 2011 screen and use failure, horizontal lines, edges off the coast of the center of the screen

    Hi there-

recently worked when all of a sudden my screen turned to a variety of 'snow '. After about 2 seconds, he stopped, but the screen was seriously messed up. Horizontal lines apart a few millimeters, but the lines look as if they were moving a little. In addition, the edge of the screen is now near the Center, rather than on the edge of the physical screen. So, there is a black bar halfway in the screen which cut into 2.

It froze the computer as well, if I pressed the power to restart. It loaded very well through the screen of apple, but as soon as he hit the login screen, he returned to no usable lines. Cannot get back in.

Anyone that prior experience, or know what I can do to get out of trouble? Looks different from most other 'horizontal' issues I found in searching.

    Thanks and best,

  • Horizontal lines and more

I have a Mac OS X 10.7.5 who suddenly developed a problem with horizontal lines covering the screen and a strong vertical line on the right side (see pix). Sound will always continue if a video is playing, mouse and Tracker will answer but not affect anything (not open, close or move anything). The only thing that solves the problem is to power down. When I turn on the rear, there is a party in question. This has, however, happened twice in the last week... a little concerning that I use my computer in my lectures. I looked at different positions, but none seem to match up with this type of horizontal issue. All the ideas that do not involve me go to the Apple Store? (pathetic bank account)

If someone answers, please use simple as much as possible terms, as I am just an archaeologist. I enter data, download and upload pix and videos, get the computer skills needed... not one of extremely competent computer people.

Yes, you will need it dumb down for me.

    Thank you.

What year/model of Macbook. This happens no matter if you are using an external monitor when there lines? If so, it could be your graphics card.

Sometimes, there are more lines and sometimes less. It makes the icons and menu items almost impossible to see. So far, is that the Firefox screen that made it. Other programs I have installed so far doesn't do this.

  • Screen flashing horizontal lines after replacing the RAM

    Hello world

Today, I replaced the original 2 2 GB RAM each with 2 other 4 GB each (Kingston) for better performance.

    I have a Macbook Pro end 2011 15 ", IOS 9.3.1.

I opened the computer it vacuum cleaner very carefully, with the lowest power and then I removed the two RAM.

I'm not new, the machine worked perfectly for 20 minutes, then the screen went black (electricity was running in it, I could see some lights on the bottom), I did close it with the button, turn it on and horizontal lines appeared.

I turn again and nothing has changed. I replaced the new memory with the 'old' and I still have horizontal lines that cross the monitor (white, grey, black).

Any idea of what is happening and how to fix it?

    Thank you in advance!

    Hello

I fear that the problem is related to a hardware problem m.
The internal display is affected or the graphics chip on the motherboard is faulty.
In both cases the hardware must be replaced

  • Portege M800 - horizontal lines on external monitor

I just bought a number of new M800 (model number - PPM81A-06L01J) and all have second screens connected.

On all secondary monitors, there are wavy horizontal lines. Secondary monitors are all of different sizes and different brand and model. They are all also on their native resolution and refresh rate. I also got the latest video drivers installed. Any body have an idea as to why this is and how to fix it?

    See you soon

    Brad

    Hello!

I n t have a Portege M800, but on my Portege M700 I had some problems with the external monitor connected too.
    Here's the story about this:

I connected the new external monitor for Portege M700 directly with an old VGA cable. Usually it t wasn't a problem for me but I was not satisfied with the quality of the image on the external monitor (a bit blurry) so I started to update the display driver and the BIOS of my Portege M700 but without success.
Anyway, I tried a bit with Google and here in the forum and I decided to buy a new high-quality VGA cable. I exchanged the cable and what happens? Perfect image quality!

As you can see, you should always use high quality new cables. Also, make sure that you use the highest screen resolution of the external display (native screen resolution) and set the refresh rate of the screen at 60 Hz.

    Good bye

  • Strange horizontal lines on the 2nd monitor (TecS1 + ATI) multiscreen mode

    Hello

I have a kind of a strange question when I'm working in mode multi-display with a Compaq 9500 19 "monitor as a second monitor attached. When resizing of content, a large number of strange horizontal lines, some short, some long, (in fact quite random) appear spread out on the full screen.

It seems that the graphics card ATI Mobility Radeon graphics buffer is corrupted somehow, I can still work, but it's still annoying. I have to say that this problem seems to appear only on Windows Server 2003, not when I run the Tecra S1 under XP (installed as multiboot). So, it might be a driver ATI - OS incompatibility.

Any help would be much appreciated.

    Thank you
    Mark

    Hi Mark

In my opinion, you are absolutely right. It's probably the driver ATI - OS incompatibility. All drivers are adapted to work properly with the operating system supplied with the notebook. Windows Server 2003 is not supported by Toshiba and I think it will be the problem to solve this problem.
