  I followed the problem down to be a cut wire in the cable of the internal lcd screen.

• X 230 to screen problem - cable LCD or cnonnector

  Like others with the x 230 found, I have a problem with the screen fading / greying out then develops vertical lines on the screen.   It seems to be the cable or connector LCD.

  Is it possible to open and fix it somehow, or should I buy an IPS display (the current screen isn't IPS I believe) and replace it myself?

• Flat cable on Satellite M100 problem

  I bought my Satellite M100 in the Canada but I live in Croatia.
  My LCD flat cable is wrong if I need to replace it. Croatia is not official Toshiba service, so I called that close and asked them for a flat cable...
  The problem is that they do not know what is the difference between Canadians and Europeans of flat cable. Is it the same? If I order it, they will not return my money if the cable does not fit.

• Satellite M50 - LCD has serious problem

  Hi all

  Thanks in advance to anyone who takes the time to read this. I had my * Toshiba M50 * since 2006 and it's been great throughout. Until recently, the screen started to play up - he would go a little 'reverse', everything gets whitened with lime and blurry but legible - just. Very boring and very difficult to describe. I can post a picture if someone isn't what I mean. I found that if I applied pressure to the upper center of the screen it would come right. I thought it was just a loose connection and that the machine is out of warranty, I pulled out the LCD Assembly and I think I've done worse, not better. Now the screen is always white, and images appear reallly slow, especially when replacing resoultions and video modes.

  I guess the General issues I'm throwing here: it seems a common problem, and it does not require a new LCD? (I think that the inverter is fine). Replacement LCD are easy to find? Are there tests 'elimination', I do it myself? I confirmed that the external graphics port is working.

  Could this be the reason finally buy that MacBook?
  Seriously, any ideas are appreciated.

  Have you tried testing with external monitor?
  It will be interesting to know if the same appears on an external. If not then is probably defective and must be replaced.

• Qosmio F750 screen replacement problems

  Hi all

  I hope you can help me,

  I just replaced the display on my Qosmio F750 which unfortunately took out of warranty two weeks ago so I do not qualify for support.

  When I replaced the screen I followed all standard procedure to replace any screen,

  But for some reason, now, the screen didn't come on come (everything works when plugged into HDMI).

  There is no backlight or image on the screen, I tried mounting the old screen and that also does not work.

  Any help at all would be much appreciated.

  Are you sure that the new screen is OK and compatible?
  The screen is connected correctly?

  I guess there is nothing wrong with the motherboard or the graphics chip because the external monitor seems to be OK.
  That's why I think that it s to display either a connection problem, or maybe you used wrong or defective.

• HP Pavilion Slimline s5-1414 connection LCD monitor & projector problem

  I bought a HP Pavilion Slimline s5-1414 with Windows 8, for my church, which came standard with 2 DVI ports. I attach a LCD monitor to 1 Port and a projector to another. Start the computer and both screens remained blank. I disconnect me the projector, restart the computer and the monitor running normally. I then connect the projector in the other port and it works as expected. However, when I restart the poster blank rest until I have do as above. I also reset the BIOS to the default settings, and both screen and projector came fine. Yet once, when I restarted, same problem. I manually set the resolution for both devices. Problem remains - every time that I reboot, displays may not run until I disconnect the projector, reboot, and after successful reboot, reconnect the projector. Any suggestions?

  Thank you for running these tests and getting back to me. I think that it is prudent to exclude at this stage of material. I have two options for you to try.

  I would like you to reinstall the graphics driver.

  Press the Windows key + Q to bring up the search

  Type 'unit'

  Click on Device Manager

  Expand graphics cards

  Double-click Intel

  Click the driver tab and click the uninstall

  Restart the computer

  Windows will automatically detect the missing driver and reinstall it on reboot. Once you are in the start screen of Windows, shutdown, connect two screens (a screen and a projector or two monitors, anyway) the computer turn on and I would like to know what the results are.

  I would also try both screens set before to turn on/off mode safe. You may need to press and hold the ESC key lighting to get the option come up, instead of SHIFT F8 as set out in section. Take a look at this article to get the procedure start mode safe. Let me know what you find

• Satellite L775-13D - battery replacement problem

  My battery is currently saying "consider replacing your battery" because it does not load completely. Had the laptop a little over 2 years so I guess that a battery replacement is necessary.

  Problem is I can't find a compatible, or I do something wrong?
  One, I bought, the site made it clear that it was for my model laptop, however when I plugged it the battery orange flash light upwards and the laptop would not turn on. I loaded a night or more and same thing.

  Other than I bought, new website clearly stated it was for my model of laptop and again made the same thing as above.

  Why not? When you remove battery right you will find part number. All you need to do is order a new following this part number. And of course I recommend buying the original Toshiba battery and not a cheap no. product name.

• Follow-up for RMA replacement problem

  Long story short. I have an RMA number (150403-002981) that has already been processed by the REST team. My replacement unit (a 32 GB Moto X) has been marked shipped on Friday and a Fedex # follow-up was sent to me. However, when I'm trying to track shipping (next day priority delivery), Fedex shows that the label was created. I called Fedex and they said that they are still waiting on the package. Everyone has experienced this before?

• conditional text find/replace problem

  For a few hours, I'm trying to solve this case: I want to apply conditions (conditional text) to all paragraphs according to the name of the applied style. So, for example, text with paragraph called "BODY" style should have "BODY" of the conditional text etc. I figured out mechanism, but I can't solve the problem with passing to find/replace.

  You have some problems in the code:

  1 move the actual paragraph style (and not just its name) to findGrepPreferences (your variable, currentStyle is a string, although this can work, it is better [especially for paragraph in the groups styles] to adopt the paragraph style real itself).

  2. Ditto for the appliedCondition: give changeGrepPreferences the condition itself, not just its name.

  3. it seems that changeGrepPreferences.appliedConditions expects a range of disorders, then give him a table even if it has only one member.
