Cache Flash

Hi all

I send you the request in flash with some params. Will it be cached? I mean if I send the request with even the result params will take the cache? Or I neean to nocache param value to avoid the result of the cache?

You php file will be cached, but if that does not change (i.e., you are not stable), do not prevent its caching.  the variables you send will not be cached and assuming that the output of the php file is returned directly to Flash, the return is not being cached.

so in your situation it is useless to prevent caching.

    I use a component Flash in our website to show videos but I need a way to erase the flash cache whenever the page is loaded. Such a configuration of component Flash is based on an XML file to get the videos that will be played. Is there a way to do it using c# code?

    Respectfully,.

    Jorge Maldonado

    In the configuration xml file, it is more likely called the playlist .xml file. So in the config file is where most likely do you change... something like:

    xmlData.load ("news_ticker/news_ticker.xml? = get" + new Date () .getTime ());

    For information on this method is again used Tickers... to the bottom of the page:

  • ZBOOK 17 - Flash Cache & general system failure

    Greetings,

    History:

    On my first install of windows on my 17 Zbook, the operating system installed the system reserved on the flash SSD cache partition. I thought I'd do a reinstall when I ordered and installed a 1 TB SSD. I removed all hard drives and flash installed the operating system cache, then turned off the computer and re-installed the cache flash. Now when I try to boot it gives me 5 flashes on the caps/NumLock with a pretty black screen.

    Has anyone encountered this before? All I could do to fix it? Thanks in advance,

    Ryan

    Thanks for the reply. I'll be sure to do that next time.

    I eventually found how to fix it. I removed all the readers, disconnected from all power and then removed the BIOS battery. He gave some time, clinging to power, and she came back to life. Of course he gave me some error messages, but after removing the power again and reconnect all devices (the ssd of 32 GB samsung flash cache included) then turn it on, everything was back to normal.

    No idea why she wanted to play dead but at least he's back running.

  • Flash Cache - what is it?

    Hi - I "m given to replace the HARD drive in 141na HP ENVy 17 and doing a little research before doing so. Some retailers say it has a SSD 8 GB and a 1 TB of HARD drive, while others do not.

    I've been looking at the specs on the HP site and it says it has a FLASH 8 GB CACHE and other research says this;

    "Flash cache is temporary storage chip NAND flash memory to allow data of queries for the data to complete more quickly..." A flash cache is often used in tandem with the slower hard drives (HDD) to improve the access time to the data. The form factor of the NAND flash is typically a the solid state drive (SSD), a PCI Express (PCIe) card or a module DIMM- base flash device installed in connectors of the server memory. "

    Does that mean that upgrading to an SSD will be have a limited effect (bearing in mind I've only will use to store the OS and a few programs like Photoshop top with all my work files on the 1 TB HARD drive or I am barking the wrong tree here.)

    All the advicde greatly appreciated.

    Chris

    The NAND flash cache is actually built into the hard drive, I'm pretty sure. I can confirm that if you go into Device Manager and view the description of the hard disk device. That means that when you remove the drive hard drive will also remove you the "flash cache. While hard disks with flash cache mSATA WSSD accelrator cache disks / improve performance they ain't nothing like a pure SSD main drive. The cache flash and other similar arrangements can accelerate sustained as an SSD read/write operations.

  • Why SSD for cache in all-Flash?

    In my view, THAT SSD for cache should not be necessary in all - flash disk groups, because this is too fast already in responding to bed and written. What is the reason why it cannot be eliminated.

    In all Configuration Flash SSD is reserved for write operations not to read operations. With the use of the SSD in the level of capacity, virtual SAN is no longer caches the data read from the cache of the range. The level of SSD caching is now used only as a write buffer. Comments all writes are absorbed by the SSD caching layer and readings gathered from writing or layer SSD cache. With all the reading-General configuration cache Flash get eliminated, it provide improved IOPS / s.

  • vSphere 5.5 Flash Read Cache

    Hello

    I've updated my vCenter to 5.5 and of course one of the interesting improvements is read Cache Flash. I installed the SSDS and could see in vSphere client Web and must now assign space to read flash for virtual machines.

    How would you do the assignment of value to flash for virtual machines read cache. I know that it discharge of the I/O to the San, but don't know how to calculate the number in the UK for actually entry.

    Does rely on the size of vmdk machine what kind of storage access.

    How do you calculate how much read cache to give a particular virtual machine or if it's trial and error

    Thank you very much

    This will give you a better understanding and best practices to the size of the cache in your environment.

  • Need advice from configuration to the flash cache multi-node RAC/ASM

    We have a database of CARS to work two nodes. We install a new fusion 640 GB flash card in each node. The is a double card, so that it shows up as two devices: / dev/fioa and/dev/fiob on each node.
    We have created two groups of private drives, one on each node. The Group of disks on node 1 is '+ FLASHCACHE' and the disk on node 2 group is "+ FLASHCACHE2".

    We have not found specific examples of how to configure the parameters of the init for flashcache on RAC/ASM. We guess that we must do the following. If anyone would be critical and confirm or suggest something different, we would appreciate it very much!

    "prod1.db_flash_cache_file ='+ FLASHCACHE/flash1"
    prod2.dg_flash_cache_file = '+ FLASHCACHE2/flash2'
    * .db_flash_cache_size = 600G

    Thanks for any advice.

    Jim

    Hi Jim,.

    prod1.db_flash_cache_file='+FLASHCACHE/flash1'
    prod2.dg_flash_cache_file='+FLASHCACHE2/flash2'
    *.db_flash_cache_size=600G

    Your configuration is correct.

    Smart Flash Cache database is not shared across RAC nodes. It is private to each RAC instance. For this reason, each RAC instance must define its own local cache of flash file path. When the flash cache is managed by ASM, a separate diskgroup is necessary for each instance flash cache.

    You can use ALTER SYSTEM for db_flash_cache_size set to zero to disable the flash cache. Alternatively, you can use ALTER SYSTEM to deliver the flash cache to its original size to reactivate it.

  • What Flash Cache completely transparent? Can I see the contents of a cache of flash?

    Hello

    is it possible to see the contents of a cache flash as v$ bh?

    On the layer of cells, you can make

    CellCLI> list flashcachecontent

    Which returns more info on flashcached objects, among other the objectnumber you can recover on the layer of database with DBA_OBJECTS (object_id here).
    As far as I KNOW, there is no direct view of the data for this layer.

  • Change the location of the video Cache

    I need to find a way to change the location of the video cache. I did the "browser.cache.parent_directory" and it redirected to my other drive. I get some use of it, a few megabytes of memory cache and files. But when I always go on youtube, I tend to get the "disk space on C: becomes low." Only to get stuff on my C: drive is out of the question. I need to find a way to change the cache flash/video directory. Anyway I could push on: config and fix this?

  • Re: Satellite L750-A218 - sound distortion while watching flash videos

    Well, that's my second problem.

    Performance of flash on my browser video causes the sound of these videos to deform.
    Also, sometimes I get BSOD.

    I tried to disable hardware acceleration that seems to extend the time to get a BSOD. In any case, I have the gfx drivers have updated to the latest version and did not get a BSOD (so far).

    However, the sound distorting the problem is still there.
    Deletion of data cached Flash Player on the fixed Control Panel temporarily.
    However, he returned after having watched the other videos.

    What's the cause? Is it a software problem, driver problem or the card gfx itself.
    Also, I noticed problem of deletion of frame while playing games on max settings.

    What is that?
    Thank you very much. I hope you can help me with this issue, I am really frustrated.

    Hello

    I would like to know if you have noticed this problem with the system preinstalled by Toshiba (factory settings).
    Other threads that you have posted here, I know that you have changed the system to Win 732 bit for the 64-bit version so it would be interesting to know if this happened before you change the version.

    > Also, I noticed problem of deletion of frame while playing games on max settings.
    Usually this happens because of the strict requirements on the hardware
    Maybe the game would need more CPU and GPU in order to run smoothly at higher resolutions and all the graphic details.

  • Tecra S5-10 X questions

    Hello

    A few months ago, I bought TECRA S5-10 X.
    My first step was lucky OS from Vista to XP (does not work for me and for my hardware and special software).

    Now installed XP system works very well, but have few questions! (All the necessary drivers are installed, ofcourse toshiba support page form).

    1. I get audio jumps and read errors, no mather what player I use or the driver I install (it happens in XP and Vista)
    2. I have also blue screen error. something about tcpip.sys.
    3. I have a device in the Panel that is not installed and there is no driver for it. 'S called it 'PCI-controller of memory'. Maybe this controller to address the first two issues, but I don't know if or lack of driver...

    Thanks for any help...
    Dean

    With regard to the point:

    (1) made the sound jumps happens while that crisscross the audio files of HARD to start from the CD drive? Should check it out!

    (2) the tcpip.sys is a process of TCP/IP protocol driver and the BSOD could be due to the old driver LAN or a 3rd party software.
    You have installed the 3rd party software? I recommend the LAN driver, XP update and install all the patches from MS site!

    (3) the PCI memory controller is Intel Turbo Memory, also called logic chip cache Flash Intel. It s a new technology to support the new Vista cache feature. There is no driver for it for Windows XP because XP doesn t supports the cache feature, it is supported by Vista

  • No sound in Satellite Pro P200 with XP

    Hi all.

    I have a Toshiba Satellite Pro P200 with Windows Vista preinstalled. I removed Vista and installed Windows XP with Service Pack 2, due to the incompabilités with some software I need. Almost all of the necessary drivers for XP (even a downgrade to BIOS) was downloaded and installed from Support from Toshiba web page. But there are still two devices that I can not install. At the start of my laptop it always detect "* Microsoft UAA bus driver for high definition audio *" and "* controller memory PCI - Chip for logical Cache Flash in Intel (r) *" as new hardware and they appear marked in yellow in the Device Manager list.

    I installed the last bus Microsoft UAA for high definition audio driver for XP from Toshiba and Realtek too... a lot of time and in different ways... Previously I installed the High Definition Audio Driver Package - KB888111 from Microsoft. But I still have no sound.

    PCI memory controller - Intel(r) Flash Cache Logic Chip: the same... tried the drivers the most recent Toshiba one Intel too. Toshiba technical support told me that this unit is ready to run on Vista and have suggested me to try with Robson drivers for Vista Support from Toshiba's web page, but that didn't work either.

    I googled a lot, searched this forum and called technical support, as I said, but I've not found a way to solve these problems. Really, I can't believe I bought a laptop that only works with Windows Vista, I resist assume this idea, so I continue to try and try to make it work properly with the operating system that I need and I have chosen freely.

    Any idea?

    Thanks in advance.

    You're on right way boyfriend, you must also install another patch MS; KB835221
    So finally the KB888111 and KB835221 must be installed before you will follow with the audio driver installation.

    Check this thread:

    The problem is that this unit only works in Vista.
    The controller memory PCI is that intel Turbo Memory, also called Intel Flash cache logic chip also called device Robson.
    It's quite new technology designed to support the new features of Vista.
    There is not driver for it for Windows XP because XP doesn t supports the function of cache, it is supported by Vista.
