• Calculates the treatment field values 1 step behind

  I have a very long form created in Acrobat Pro (latest version).

  To simplify the problem, this is what is happening.

  I have text boxes on a form and the user will enter quantity and price in each row for the materials and form will calculate to multiply these values and give you the total for each product and at the end, add all the totals giving you your total final.

  T1 * P1 = T1

  T1 + T2... T40 plus Total cost of material

  Which works very well.

  I then the user enter the estimate and below this breakthrough for what is the cost of labour, which is the cost of equipment, which is taxes, and then the rest is profit. The cost of the equipment is simply copied to the Total cost of the above materials.

  However, the calculation is made to simply take so I need percentages thus:

  The total cost of materials / estimate = percentage

  This grave 1 step walk behind. As in, it has not calculated the first go-around. You must enter a value elsewhere on the form or if I generate a button "Calculate" it will then deal with it. It's like if we take the old value before the field has been dynamically updated.

  Below on the left turns is the estimate that you need to enter. In doing so, you will see the % for material cost and profit are bad, if you change a value anywhere on the form, you will see that they are then the value that was already there.

  I hope that makes sense for a person, the calculated values are 1 step behind and I need to understand why and get that fixed.

  Also, if I do these fields % under the shape number and 2 decimal places, I get an avalanche of mistakes whenever I enter a new value somewhere on the form I think because he's trying to divide by a number of vacuum which get a NaN error and gives me a pop up that it does not match the required format. How can I disable this error? I need to limit it to 2 decimal places, or 3 actually, but don't have a ton of errors popup whenever the user starts to fill the form.

  It's a problem of calculation of classic field command. You need to go to Tools - Forms - change - other tasks - defined field calculation order and whole list in the order in which calculations occur. So if a field is dependent on the value of the field B, then it must be lower than him in the list.

  I'm trying to do with FormCalc but if it is easier with JS is ok too.

  So that's what I did on the total field, by using the calculate on a NUMERIC field called decimalValue event:

  elapsed = Time2Num (endTime.formattedValue, "HH: mm")-Time2Num (startTime.formattedValue, "HH: mm")

  And then I tried to convert a time field:

  Total = decimalValue.rawValue;

  $.formattedValue = Num2Time (total, "HH: mm")

  Well, it doesn't work, it gives me crazy results in the datetime (total) field. If I type 09:00 and 09:30, the final result is... 22:30. Huh?

  You can use the option of simplified field notation, but first your input fields names must be changed so that they do not contain spaces or punctuation. For example:

  TotalAssets - TotalLiabilities

  If you want to use JavaScript, what will be needed if you ever in more complicated calculations, you can use something like the following as the custom fields (net value) calculation script:

  Departure and arrival of the cells are in Date and time with Date format: no and time: 24-hour clock.

  

  Formula in D2 (fill down)

  = C2−B2

  

  The results become a duration format, but under automatic (numbers automatically worth this format)

  

  If you wish, you can change the cells of lasting results.

  I don't know anything about javascript and need help.  I have a photography contract I want to offer a "discount package" of $50 when the two services will be used.  1 service is 'Photography coverage' and Service 2 'Photo Booth Rental'.

  Text field 1 = subtotal (calculates the values of checkbox and radio button)

  Text field 2 = discount (it's where I need help.  I would like this automatically filled with $50 when my default two boxes are not selected.  But only when the TWO are not selected)

  Text field 3 = Total (which has a basic calculation of the Subtotal-Discount)

  The services of two by default (it's done on purpose, I checked from the beginning) are both set to the '0' values to keep the subtotal $ 0.  If the client will use a service (which means one of the default selections will be selected), then there will be no discount, but if they decide to use photography and the cabin, they save $50.

  Can someone please help me to write a script for the text field, Discount calculation, to accomplish what I ask?

  To_char, as its name implies, returns a string of characters.  You say that

  TO_CHAR (...) - TO_CHAR (...) * 24 * 60

  If you ask for the string returned by the 2nd TO_CHAR be multiplied by 24.  Does make any sense to you?

  Maybe you wanted to do the subtraction first, which would be

  (TO_CHAR (...) - TO_CHAR (...)) * 24 * 60

  but still would be a mistake, because you can't subtract a string to another string (or anything else).

  If I understand correctly, you would store stores rather 3 columns: full_date (a DATE, where the time part is 00:00:00) as well as business_start_time and business_end_time (the two INTERVAL DAY TO SECOND).  In this case, you can modify the code above to say:

  SELECT SUM (LESS (full_date + business_end_time, v_end_dt)

  -GREATEST (full_date + business_start_time, v_start_dt)

  ) * 24 * 60...

  You can add a DATE at an INTERVAL;  the result will be a DATE.  There is no need to convert anything to a data type to the other.
