HP Pavilion G7-2251dx upgrade processors

Hello! I played just Skyrim the other day and I found out that my current processor keeps me at a pretty slow FPS. This also applies to Minecraft, etc.. In any case, I was wondering if I could spend my processor. The current one is an AMD Quad - Core A8 - 4500M APU with Radeon graphics card. It says it has 1.9 ghz, but can go up to 2.8, but I have no idea how he thrust. Also I was wondering if I could update my ram. I don't know if I have a second slot or not, and I did only 4 gigs. Here is a link to his page. http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c03561498 thanks a lot!

Hello

There is a list of the supported CPU in the following book:

http://h10032.www1.HP.com/CTG/manual/c02834058.PDF

Page #4 will show you how much RAM you can install on your machine. Fortunately, the machine currently has 1x4Go, so you only need 1 piece of 4 GB for the second slot (for 8 total). Please note 32 bit OS can access up to 4 GB of RAM.

Kind regards.

    No high cost!

We meet again. The manual I linked in the other post on the MSSD has a list of processors.

T9900, T9800, T9600 all possibilities and would be a lot better than a T4200. The T9900 is still quite expensive since it is the top, Core 2 Duo. The T9600 is always a very good processor much more available than T9900s and less expensive.

  • HP pavilion dv6 6150em: upgrade of processor on HP Pavilion dv6 (6150em)

    Hello

My wife who is emotionally connected to this laptop needs an upgrade, and even so it is easy and very likely cheaper to buy the new laptop, we should improve as much it can.

So it has already 8 GB of memory so that part is ok. I'm looking for the Bay for SSD drive as a replacement for the DVD player and last thing upgrade processor (current: i3 - 2310M).

I've looked everywhere to try to know what other processors that support the model, but I wasn't that successful

Basically, my question is what processors that support for portable computers and what is top of page processor that I can put in this model of laptop.

    Thanks in advance!

You will certainly need the maintenance manual:

    Manual

Your motherboard only supports dual core, not the Quad core processors and it is the fastest dual core compaptible:

    (Turbo SC up to 3.40 GHz) processor, Intel Core i7 - 2620 M 2.70 GHz (4, 0 - MB L3 cache, dual core, 35 W)

    Not too cheap:

BTW, do not put an SSD in an optical drive to the hard drive adapter. The interface is slower and the reader will not be bootable. Put the SSD in the hard drive Bay and if you need more storage, then just put a standard mechanical drive into the optical drive adapter. This might work:

  • HP Pavilion g6-1365sl: upgrade CPU of my HP Pavilion g6-1365sl

Hi everyone, I would like to upgrade my HP Pavilion 1365sl g6 (B960) processor.

Research on the web, I found different maintenance and Service of Guide for g6, in the report below:

http://h10032.www1.HP.com/CTG/manual/c03094322 (this is the first time since the HP website)

    http://www.HP.com/CTG/Manual/c02770249.pdf (from google on HP.com)

    http://h10032.www1.HP.com/CTG/manual/c03233548.PDF (as above)

    http://www.HP.com/CTG/manual/c03593041.PDF (as above)

Now my question is... which is good?...

I know the second (c02770249) relate not that my CPU is probably for the excluded, but the others...?

Editions do not match each other... I'm confused... What's the difference?...

I guess that the correct edition is the c03094322 (the first one) simply because the touchpad is centralized at the difference of the other two (and because that is provided by the site)... then... the maximum installable CPU is Intel® Core™ i7 - 2640M?

It's okay?... What is the difference between these editions?

    Thank you in advance!

You actually have the best motherboard in the series and it will load from 2d gen Intel Core CPU, 'Sandy Bridge', with chip living bridge wide that is switchable graphics. Up to i7 - 2640 M. your radiator is the same one used on the i7 models isn't a matter of removing the processor, substituting the better you want, locking it, apply the thermal paste and put everything back together. OK slight oversimplification.

    See pages 79-85.

But I can answer here using information from other G4 computers:

    (a) for CPU: you need to replace the motherboard too and it is a very expensive upgrade. Please read the manual on the link third next (page 84):

  • Pavilion G4 w / AMD processor - where can I find a driver for the SM Bus controller?

Bought a G4 Pavilion - 1164CA and upgraded the HD with SSD

and did a new install of Windows 7 x 64 Premium.

    The model has a processor AMD A6 - 3400M.

Device Manager shows that a driver is missing for SM Bus controller.

I checked the drivers HP page for the model but no chipset or the SM Bus controller driver is...

    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?OS=4063&LC=en&cc=us&DLC=en&sw_lang=&product=5148...

Note: I did a clean install of Windows 7 x 64, not a recovery, read a recovery to a smaller HD would not be possible and also would prefer a clean without all the extras install as the SSD space is limited at first.

Suggestions to find a driver for SM Bus controller for this model with an AMD processor and chipset?

Looks like the SM Bus driver is part of the graphics driver.

My gateway has the 4006153R (Love Valley G) of Intel G965 Viiv Motherboard. The Core 2 Duo E6300 processor has an identifier (SL9S5) on the processor. I have the motherboard and processor supported of the gateway information for upgrades of the processor. If I chose a compatible with the motherboard upgrade processor, the processor must have the same SL * as the current processor if the BSF MHz and required socket are identical? • Upgrading processors N100 0689-29U

I've seen several posts on upgrades of the processor for the N100 and I wondered if they work for all types of N100 laptops.

Mine is a type of N100 0689-29U that currently has an Intel Centrino Duo T2300 (1.66 GHz). I would like to move to something of 2 GHz or more if possible. I am running 2 GB of RAM, which was the max Lenovo said that will support the machine.

The reason for my upgrade is an attempt to accelerate a fire modeling program that I am running. Is it a upgrade processor speed up my computing power or would I waste my money?

    Thank you.

You have the format socket M, which are compatible with the following types of CPU.

    Intel Core Solo
    Intel Core Duo
    Intel Core 2 Duo (T5x00, T7x00)
    Intel Celeron M

However, there is a limited support for the version chip Socket M Core 2 Duo T7x00, a bios flash may be needed to do their jobs, but most of these Core 2 Duo chips are quite expensive.

CPU represents that part of the bottleneck of performance in a laptop, there is also the factor of GPU, ram, optimization of the software and hard disk file fragmentation.

If you're going to get a CPU, you should consider the T7x00 series, however, they run a tad warmer that CPU you have now.

But rather than make an upgrade with your laptop, I probably just save money and get a half decent job for modeling programs.

  • Pavilion p6-2133w: upgrade Windows 10 Pro activation after replacing the processor and motherboard

I upgraded a Pavilion P6 W10 Pro in September. Everything was going well until the motherboard and processor failed. When I replaced the hardware I am prompted to activate Windows - I have the product key for Windows 7 Home Prem OA office machine that does not work for W10 Pro. I don't know how W10 Pro ran six months and support MS insists I do decline to W10. Two questions.

1 how W10 differ from the W10 Pro?
    2. How is this W10 Pro could have been improved in Windows 7 Home Prem OA? Looks like a decoy on the BONE.

    Greetings,

The replacement of the mother/CPU card can be extra monkey wrench in this situation.

You cannot use a key of Win 7 Home on Win 10 Pro.

You will need to install Win 10 and then move on to Win 10 Pro. Win 10 going to Win 10 percent if you had an activated copy of win 10 Pro.

    1. other features such as BitLocker and domain join.

    2. I have no idea how you've gone from Win 7 Home win 10 Pro. Were you a BETA-Tester (Windows Insider program)? I upgraded from Win 7 to win 10 Pro, because I was a BETA-Tester,

I just did a clean install of Windows 10 Pro but ignored the input of the product key. Windows activated, but not right away.
