  I created a pdf to a word doc form.  I tested it and all fields of computing work very well, but then I'm going to post on our Web site and all calculation fields do not work.  The formatting in the field appears as well, which means that when I created the form to fill out that I made the fields of theses to represent a monetary unit (e.g. $5.00) and when I post on the web it appears simply as a number (5) and nothing in this column adds up.

  No, you can't get them to work on any browser. Chrome has the most support for PDF and JavaScript forms, but it is not as comprehensive as Acrobat/Reader. Consider educate users to directly open the form in Adobe Reader.

  If I create a form from scratch, I can calculate a field for me, but if I import even a simple PDF in LiveCycle Designer and try to add fields and make them compute, they just sitting there, not calculate anything.

  Attached is a form that I'm trying to calculate something for me.  The top 3 unmarked boxes are A, B and C.  C is supposed to calculate A + B.  I don't know why it is not... any ideas?

  You use FormCalc syntax on the JavaScript calculate event. Use one

• Firefox 4 does not allow me to organize bookmarks and does not automatically fill web sites, I start typing.

  Since upgrading to Firefox 4 I have more the possibility to organize bookmarks. Also when I start typing a website and click on the options that appear when I start typing... If they do not appear in the space where I started typing. It didn't happen with my previous version of Firefox. Everything worked perfectly.

  "Organize bookmarks" has been renamed to "show all bookmarks" in the bookmarks menu.

  Since upgrading to Firefox 33.1, passwords are not automatically filled when I connect variuos websites. I don't have the addon 1.1 of passwords to remember or any addon simiar. When you go to 'Options', I can see all the passwords that I recorded in the past. 'Remember the password for Sites' is also checked. Before the upgrade, everything worked Flory.

  After selecting your lens and information model in the profile panel, change the drop down menu (immediately below the box) setting to say save new lens profile by default.  Therefore, that the objective should complete correctly. You may need to repeat for the other cameras/lenses.

  I have a form that has three text fields that are cast on a page to expand according to their content.

  I have the content of these fields using Javascript, fundamentally, they are note fields that are automatically filled account required choices to the user.

  During the execution, all fields text develop as planned and the content is there. However, as soon as the form is sent, the content is not displayed in the response XML file and there is no node in the XML file that represents each note field, all other fields of the form are present and contain data entered as expected. If I reopen the document to view the completed form all other fields keep their data and display correctly, but three text fields I have are empty. I can't understand why this is?

  That this has something to do with flowing, or the fact that these fields are on different pages?

  The problem is with the link... .on the object palette there is a link on this tab tab and under section default binding I bet yours is set to None. Change to normal, and it will now appear in the data file.

  Thank you for posting.  In order for IE to fill your user name and password when you connect to a secure site you must have seized on automatic.  To enable AutoComplete use these steps:

  Turn AutoComplete

  1. open IE

  2. click on tools

  3. click on Internet Options

  4. click on the content tab

  5 locate the semi-automatic before heading and click on the settings button

  6. place a checkmark in the box next to the usernames and passwords on forms

  7 adjust other parameters of AutoComplete you want to use

  8. click on Ok

  9. click on apply

  10. restart IE

  IE will now begin to remember your name and information user for you password.  Let us know if that answers your question.

  I am trying to add a script that is automatically filled in the days of the week in a single field. I have an example script that will populate the fields of today's date, but not what I'm looking for. I need the date to fill from an earlier date which came from a separate field. Any help is appreciated.

  You can use the opposite of "printd" to analyze a text representation of a date and convert it to a date. See here for documentation:

  All you need to do is replace the first line of your code, where you set and the value of the variable today with a routine that initializes the date from field data. In the simplest form, this may like this:

  var someday = util.scand("mm/dd/yyyy", this.getField("TheDate").value);
  

  Then, you would just use the variable 'someday' instead of 'today' in your code.

  Remember that this complies not any error checking, you can add a control to "Survive" actually containing valid data, so that the calculation of the other fields, you can jump in case you have for example a string empty, or at a date not valid.

  I am creating a part of my form when the user fills in a value (a number) to a text box field and this value is automatically filled in a read-only text box in a later part of the form. The text read-only should adjust the user to change the original text, but should not be able to adjust itself (where the read-only).

  I have not found a way to make it work (actions? calculate?) and none of the forums I found is at this address. I guess I shouldn't their name just the same because then they will both be adjustable or read-only.

  Use the Validate the entry field event, something like:

  Copy the value of this field to the next field

  getField("Text2").value = event.value;

  but replace "Text2" with the actual name of the field read-only.

  Before I left to go on vacation, my Acrobat Pro XI worked perfectly. No hiccups, no errors, etc. Now that I'm back and I need to print a PDF in it, I constantly get an error message appear when I hit the "print" key.

  If the problem comes from the printer driver. While IT worked on my machine Friday, they have updated the driver and it automatically sets the posting to Enabled. Now that he is set to disabled, I can print without problem. So I guess it's fixed for now and if it comes back I know exactly what to look for.
