Calculates percentage columns in dynamic loose pivot table formatting in Excel

I have a simple report built using PivotTable (OBIEE 11.1.1.5.0)

1 measure and 1 dimension using PivotTable. and I have reproduced the metric column and change to the % column. (Display data as a percentage of the column). So far so good. Here's the snapshot

http://Tinypic.com/r/2s14xa9/7

Now I download the report in excel and all % values are messy. Here's what it looks like

http://Tinypic.com/r/bede90/7

I tried to play with the data formats etc... nothing works... I can't add a column to the metric column format as this will impact the derived column %.

Is this a bug? Pointers...

Thank you

    Hi Timo,

    Long time ago you have this announcement on a thread:

    For the defined attributes, VO is created dynamically and the pivot link.

    The pivot link is exchanged during execution as well as the activation of the adequate VO Dynamics to get only the

    Can you guies give any sample format so that I can try from here

    Mukesh seems to talk about using Excel to connect to Oracle and Excel create tables and insert data, such as a client application.

    However, this is not what you're asking.

    The examples you need are in the links that Anton has provided, which describe in detail how to set up a heterogeneous service (or whatever now calls Oracle 11 g go - they have changed the name), and then you can query the Excel workbook as if each worksheet is a table, with the first line of each leaf with column names.  You can even search the workbook to see what "tables" (sheets) exist and what "column names" (first row labels), use select standard... from queries of type user_tables@excel (once you have configured your heterogeneous service).

    As Marty said well, what is the purpose to do this dynamically, as dynamically created tables will require code created dynamically for use.

    An application design and database well-designed will dictate what data formats and tables are at design time.

  • 11 total Pivot Table prompt g

    I created a PivotTable in which I have two columns listed in the Pivot Table guest area (formerly area pages in 10 g).

    When you change the PivotTable, the layout section shows a warning next to the Pivot Table guest words icon. I clicked this icon and selected before.

    The drop-down list of the column (far left) ranked first in the Pivot Table of guests watch now an entry of all values higher than retail values, as it should.

    However, the drop-down list for the other column doesn't have an entry of all values .

    In addition, by selecting the entry of all the values for the first column is completely HIDES the drop-down list for column 2 and the PivotTable displays a grand total of all the values for the second column.

    It makes no sense at all. I want to see all values for my first column and be able to continue to select individual values for my second column, or maybe a all the values for the second column.

    It there is no documentation on this feature, because the OBIEE 11 g user's Guide does not contain the string Pivot Table invites.

    This signals that a bug?

    I have not yet explored 11g.
    But in 10g so the columns in the page area are displayed as guests. The messages appear to be cascaded, so only the first column in the page area contains "All Pages" option.
    Try if you can modify the XML to produce the desired effect.

    So I think this isn't a bug with 11g, rather inherited 10 g.

    Sounds like it. You will need the account of studies as a measure in the criteria. You could do something in the repository, but the fastest way is:

    Criteria:
    Add the study in (it will not go into the PivotTable)
    create new measure based on any existing measure that has the background you need with the formula:
    cases where [existing] is not null then 1 else 0 end

    This will give you 1 for each line that your measure in effect is valid. Add this new measure in the PivotTable and treat it as a normal amount.

  • Pivot table dynamic table - chart axis of the show as "percent".

    Hi all

    I have a pivot table is generated, with the lines as year/month and columns like web browser. However I only watch 5 albums used, browsers so that used columns are dynamic.

    I would like to show the graph as a 'percentage of line. I know that I can turn this on the data in the table, but it does not filter although in the graph. Does anyone know how to get there? Can you add the total of a line and use it in a formula?

    Thanks in advance

    Hello
    Not sure how the PivotTable, however we have may be able to pull this back as a separate column in the criteria tab which you can then use.
    What is your metric name?

    Lets say you have Time.YearMonth, browser, count

    Add another column, change the fx for this column and use sum (time.yearmonth County) - this will give you the total amount for the year regardless of browser.
    Add another column and simply count / sum (time.yearmonth County) * 100 to get the percentage of the total for the year - plays about with using them in the pivot or you might get away with a straight table view?

    Hope this helps, another solution would be to implement a shaved basic measure to the RPD.

    No, I mean not the dropdown list above when you edit the formula in the column. It of there on 11g but don't remember off the top of my head if it is in the same place on 10g.

    Hello

    When you use SELECT... PIVOT, the result set contains 1 row for all the distinct combinations of the values of all columns except columns mentioned in the PIVOT clause.  If you want to ignore some columns completely, then let the PIVOT operated at a "table" that does not include the.  For example:

    with RELEVANT_AGENT_DETAIL as

    (

    Select AGENT_ID, AGENT_TYPE_CODE, AGENT_TYPE_PREFIX, TYPE_CODE, LAST_MODIFIED

    of AGENT_DETAIL

    -where--if you filter, put it here

    )

    Select *.

    of RELEVANT_AGENT_DETAIL

    Pivot (min (TYPE_CODE) Dungeon (last dense_rank command by LAST_MODIFIED))

    for TYPE_CODE in ('DNSWEB' as WEB

    'DNSNATID' as NATIONAL

    'DELIVERY' as DELIVERY

    "WEBUSAGE" as WEBUSAGE

    )

    )

    ;

    If you are lazy or trying to be cute, maybe you can give the columns unwanted some lazy jobs in the PIVOT clause, like this:

    Select *.

    of AGENT_DETAIL

    Pivot (min (TYPE_CODE) Dungeon (dense_rank last order by LAST_MODIFIED)

    TYPE_CODE

    TYPE_PREFIX

    )

    for TYPE_CODE in ('DNSWEB' as WEB

    'DNSNATID' as NATIONAL

    'DELIVERY' as DELIVERY

    "WEBUSAGE" as WEBUSAGE

    )

    )

    ;

    But this makes the code confusing and may be difficult to maintain.

    Hello

    Greetings to all here...

    I use Oracle Business Intelligence Suite Enterprise Edition 10.1.3.4.
    I have created a report, the problem is that it shows some columns as empty when I display the result in responses, Pivot table view, the technical details:
    Column name: sales - MTD
    The column formula: IFNULL ('-common measures ".") Business-MTD sales", 0.00)
    Aggregation rule: default

    sample data:
    JAN Feb customer account number
    7053 < white > 22.00

    Data for Jan present in the database, infact for January, the column is not non-existent in databased, Feb is present and is displayed correctly.

    The column is of type DOUBLE, I want to display 0.00 instead of white, asking for your help.

    I did a search in the forum, but could not get a solution.

    Try this,
    Go to your report, the column - common measures. "' Turnover - BAT" in data marker select custom format
    and put it in #, # 0;-#, # 0; 0
    I hope it will work.

    What is the best way to achieve this?

    Thank you!!!

    Do you mean the Table Normal view?

    If so,.

    We don't have any control at the level of responses.

    Instead, you can select 'LAST' than the rule of aggregation for the measure to the RPD.

  • How to get the QDR of ADF Pivot table datacell

    JDeveloper 11.1.1.5 version
    Java 1.6
    The ADF faces

    I want to click commandlink in a data cell that sends the value of the header cells to a bean of support. I think that we must get the QDR of a clicked data cell, but how?

    I created the PivotTable: column headers consist of a variable number of dates; row headers consist of the names of the units. The data that cross are a percentage of variance using energy over time. (There is no calculation in the PivotTable, just displaying data from the view).

    ........ 11 Jan 12 13 Jan Jan jan 14. .etc
    Module-1 2.00 5, 25 - 9.30-11.15
    Unit-2 - 554.22 497.00 7.70 2.00
    Unit-3 10.00 - 5, 00 5.00 1.00

    To the cell above it with 497.00 value, the user must click this value (commandlink) and the bean 1) calculate the values of the unit and the date to use as parameter values for ExecuteWithParams under another iterator and 2) navigate to another page using this another iterator.

    It seems that the QDR (reference data) is involved, but can't find enough information about how to implement the same.

    Here are the PivotTable on the jspx:

    < dvt:pivotTable id = "pivotTable1".
    Summary = "reading analytical pivot table.
    value = "#{bindings." CdsaReadingsItfVwView1.pivotTableModel}.
    var = 'cellData.
    varStatus = "cellStatus" >
    < dvt:dataCell >
    < af:commandLink id = "cl".
    Text = "#{cellData.DataValue} '"
    action = "#{pivot_bean.commandlink_action}" / >
    < / dvt:dataCell >
    < / dvt:pivotTable >

    In the bean, we try to getPivotTable(), but it is always null.

    Any direction is welcome.

    (3) accumulation of usage view on measure it in pivot does ' t shows resume graphic because the sum of runnung dynamically apply in pivot table, but the table takes the column.

    The pivot table view is an interactive view which allows you to rotate the lines, columns and headers to get different perspectives of the data section. PivotTables is navigable and percables and is particularly useful for trend reports.

    Gauges are useful to show the performance against objectives. Gauge types supported include dial and bar style light bulb gauges.

    CASE statement is used for conditions, its use is the case when x = y end doubts... Its similar IF statement in programming.
