Calculation in a form

Once more, I am trying to get this form to work the way I want it. The link to the form is here:

Dropbox - HAR-080 - ICCAEPRegFormFields.pdf

I need the US Total paid by check or MO field to calculate the sum of the column if there is no entry in the column but be empty if there is no money. It does not calculate the sums of the fields. I can't even to calculate the sum of the columns much less write the 'if' statement to make it empty. It seems that it is not to convert the loop to the numbers to get the sum and is simply concatenating the numbers. I can't find out where the + should go to convert the text to numbers.

Add this line at the end of the calculation script:

If (event.value == 0) event.value = "";

    I'm setting up a very basic shape for my accounting group.  This form must be just calculate RatePerMile x MilesTraveled at the MileageTotal equality and totals of Bkf + lunch + dinner + cool accessories + accommodation MILTotal equal the sum.  He is an acrobat form, and given that the request was simple, I used the tab default calculations for each of the totals.  The problem is in fact none of the totals returns a result.

    By reading related problems on the forums, I thought that the solution might be to set the order of computation of field.  But this option is grayed out, despite the fact that I currently have at least 3 calculations in the form at the moment.

    I'm working on Acrobat 9.4.7 on Windows XP, but I also took a glance on 9.4.7 on Windows machine just to see if the problem could be with my installation of Acrobat.  At this point, all I can think is that there is one simple thing, I forget which would have the results appear.  Any ideas?

    I don't know how you have created the form fields, but if you delete it in Acrobat and re-create them, then they work.

    With an array of fields as, I found using scripts custom calculation to calculate the field names may cause the less code and a copy of the code to be updated to correct an error of calculation.

  • Calculations in a form

    I have problems of calculating a value in a form.

    All are fields of text defined as numbers.  When I click with the right button on the "Total" field and select Properties, in the tab text field calculate properties, then by clicking on the button to the left of "value is the '.

    I can select or deselect all fields buy cannot select or deselect an individual field.

    Can anyone recommend how to solve this problem of calculation?

    Hello

    Try to click just before the box to select the individual field.

    Or you can use the simplified field notation and add fields. For example: Text1 and Text2.

    I would like to know if it works.

    Hello

    Sorry, automatic calculation is not supported on a form of FormsCentral for the creation of the form (i.e. When you create the form in the Design tab).

    However, you can add the formula in the table view responses for responses you collect, or PDF form generated by editing via Adobe Acrobat.

  • If anyone can help with a calculation in Acrobat forms?

    I have a form created in Acrobat and impossible to get a calc to function. Field ' # guests_2 ' Gets an amount and should be multiplied by $75 for a total field of '2' HELP Please! Thank you

    There are two ways to do this. Tab in calculation of the properties of the field for the field '2' do either:

    1 field option simplified rating:

    Enter the following information: #\ guests_2 * 75

    It would be better if you changed the name of the field to something like "num_guests_2", so the entry could be changed to:

    num_guests_2 * 75

    2. custom calculation script:

    Enter the following text:

    Set this field value

    GetField("#_guests_2").value = Event.Value * 75.

    Assuming that the ' guests_2 # ' the field is numeric. You don't have to change the name of the field for that, but I think it would still be a good idea.

  • Trouble with calculations in my form

    Hello.  I have great difficulty with a form, that I care.  It may be the program is required to the breast.  I'll try to explain and to forgive me because I am not a technie official.  I created a PDF form.  Inside the form, I created calculations custom JavaScript where the script takes the value of the field and converts it to a number.  I tested the form as a stand alone and it was working fine. All the calculations work very well.

    Some fields are defined for FormValues which are obtained from our banking system.  There is the javascript code in the system.  An excerpt from our banking Acumen help system to explain what I'm trying to say:

    "The values of customer and institution data and information are automatically inserted in the fields appropriate registration of models of documents when a document assigned is"called"to the use of a current affairs."

    function of a similar product or the field with which it is associated.

    For most applications, the précodés values information and data that are shown with each model of generic document Fiserv serve the systematic application of your institution. Be aware that the Format /

    Calculations feature allows you to use JavaScript to the data values to custom of code for the specialized use of a document template.

    When I download the form in the document library and then bring it into the banking system, information précodée is great. The minute I click in a field that is empty to input information that fields with calculations custom inside the shape adobe pop up saying NaN.  I understand that some fields may précodés not the real number that is why adobe custom code I use is programmed to convert to numbers - at least I hope that I am just learning javascript.  It seems that the only calculations that it will use are those in the JavaScript within the banking system before the document appears

    Now, when I bring up the form from the banking system, it appears as a documentpopup.jsp (don't know if that makes a difference)

    I am at a complete loss and have worked on this form for a week now.  Any help would be appreciated.  I have an email in one of the authors of document Fiserv to tell me if Acumen supports the functions that I do in Acrobat.  I don't know the current version of our banking system does not support forms created in Live Cycle but the new 2011 version don't - don't know if that means something or the other.

  • simple calculation in a form

    I'm trying to creat a calculation simple javascript in LiveCycle and I'm completely lost.

    I have 3 numeric fields (A1, A2, A3) and a calculated field. When the input of users numbers in one of the first three fields, I want the calculated field ('cost') to automatically populate. I tried to restore the javascript code to reading the other posts, but I can't get my form to deal with the calculation. (The field is left blank.) Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Here is the calculation I'm doing:

    (A1/A2) * A3

    The event calculate of the field that will contain the result of this calculation, you add this line of javascript code:

    this.rawValue = (A1.rawValue/A2.rawValue) * A3.rawValue;

    Hope that helps

  • Can someone help me how to understand the syntax of a calculation in a form Acrobat?

    For the first time I have created a PDF form for the child summer camp brochure. After countless hours I was able to figure out how to make some simple calculations (number of sessions of camp price subtotal = x). But I can't understand how to create a script that will take partial total revenue and generate a number which corresponds to 10% of the subtotal. All I want to do is have a separate field (reduction), which can reference the subtotal, and if it's over $ 170.00, calculates and displays a number which corresponds to 10% of this amount. From there, I can understand how to subtract 10% of the subtotal, but I can't understand the syntax for the calculation of the 10%. Also I don't know if that should be entered in the Notation of Simple box field or calculation Script custom area to calculate in the text field properties box. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    You must use JavaScript. It would be something like:

    Personalized to discount field calculation script

    (function () {}

    Get the subtotal value, as a number

    var = subtotal + getField("Subtotal").value;

    Set the value of this field

    If it is greater than 170, calculate 10%, otherwise it is zero

    Event.Value = subtotal > 170? 1 * subtotal: 0;

    })();

    This last line is equivalent to:

    If {(subtotal > 170)

    Event.Value =.1 * subtotal;

    } else {}

    Event.Value = 0;

    }

    It's just more compact.

    Replace "Subtotal" in the line of getField above with the actual name of the subtotal field. Also, set all the fields calculated read-only. And make sure the field calculation order is correct.

  • Calculation of order form

    Hello-

    I am creating a form for a uniform order of the team. There is a standard price that calculates the total based on the quantity ordered field. But if someone wants to personalize the issue I would expect a different price.

    I used a text box hidden which could fill in if a checkbox has been selected, but that the total field was not systematically summing.

    Someone has done something like this with success?

    Thank you!

    If it was not, remember that the order of computation of field is set correctly. This is not the same as the tab order.

  • Calculation of tabular form, problem with decimal numbers

    Hello

    I wrote a simple java script function that is responsible for calculating the price * quantity and store that value to total_price.

    function CalcTotalPrice (pThis)
    {
    var vRow = pThis.id.substr (pThis.id.indexOf ('_') + 1);
    html_GetElement ('f07_' + vRow). Value = parseInt (html_GetElement('f06_'+vRow).value, 10) * parseInt (html_GetElement('f05_'+vRow).value, 10);
    }

    The function calculation is correct, but I have problem when the price or quantity decimal numbers.
    For example.
    Currently:
    price * quantity = total_price
    7.5 * 1 = 7 instead of * cf. 7.5 *.

    I've already put a mask of correct format for all of these areas (999G999G999G999G990D00).

    Kind regards

    Hi John,.

    before the multiplication, you analyze your values as an integer, so 'cut' the decimals.
    Replace "parseInt" by "parseFloat" should do the trick.

    function CalcTotalPrice(pThis)
    {
    var vRow = pThis.id.substr(pThis.id.indexOf('_')+1);
    html_GetElement('f07_'+vRow).value = parseFloat(html_GetElement('f06_'+vRow).value, 10) * parseFloat(html_GetElement('f05_'+vRow).value, 10);
    }

    Please let me know if this worked for you.

  • DateTime calculations in a form

    Hello

    Version of the database that you are using: Oracle Database 11g Enterprise Edition Release 11.2.0.2.0 - 64 bit Production
    Application Express version: 4.1.1.00.23

    I have a user fills out a form, it affects the status of "Open" and I capture the DateCreatedOn in a hidden field.
    When someone returns the form and sets the status "Closed" I capture the DateClosedOn in a hidden field.
    I need to calculate the number of hours that it took to close the issue and display it on the form.

  • Can anyone help to correct an error of calculation in a form

    Hi everyone, I have created a form of timesheet and added simple formulas/script (I apologize in advance for my ignorance of the correct terminology, I am self-taught and a precise novice!)

    I was able to get the form to add that the hours worked each day however a problem occurs when I try to the total number of days to get the total number of hours for the week/fortnight. I have a line in a table that totals the hours during the week, then another line which is a grand total.  When I check the form using the preview screen everything seems in good shape, but when I enter data in the form and save and then reopen it shows errors and formatting came out (it is duplicate lines in the table that contains the totals.
