Trouble with calculations in my form

Hello.  I have great difficulty with a form, that I care.  It may be the program is required to the breast.  I'll try to explain and to forgive me because I am not a technie official.  I created a PDF form.  Inside the form, I created calculations custom JavaScript where the script takes the value of the field and converts it to a number.  I tested the form as a stand alone and it was working fine. All the calculations work very well.

Some fields are defined for FormValues which are obtained from our banking system.  There is the javascript code in the system.  An excerpt from our banking Acumen help system to explain what I'm trying to say:

When I download the form in the document library and then bring it into the banking system, information précodée is great. The minute I click in a field that is empty to input information that fields with calculations custom inside the shape adobe pop up saying NaN.  I understand that some fields may précodés not the real number that is why adobe custom code I use is programmed to convert to numbers - at least I hope that I am just learning javascript.  It seems that the only calculations that it will use are those in the JavaScript within the banking system before the document appears

Now, when I bring up the form from the banking system, it appears as a documentpopup.jsp (don't know if that makes a difference)

I am at a complete loss and have worked on this form for a week now.  Any help would be appreciated.  I have an email in one of the authors of document Fiserv to tell me if Acumen supports the functions that I do in Acrobat.  I don't know the current version of our banking system does not support forms created in Live Cycle but the new 2011 version don't - don't know if that means something or the other.

All what I can say is HELP...

I found my problem.  Even if I'm tryin g to convert string to number I had to specifically convert currency string and remove all symbols and commas.  Once that done that worked like a charm

  • How to keep the form fields empty with calculated fields

    I am to convert Excel files to Adobe forms with calculated fields.  I use the following if statement to keep the empty fields until the entry is made.

    This does not work if someone from 0 in the field "today."  This is sometimes necessary in this form, as the other fields must be filled and a riser is not always added.

    This form consists of several lines and inscriptions are made there is a running total in column "on this day".



    So you say that a result no one is valid and that you want to delete a result of zero only if the LengthRisersToday field is empty? If so, the script can be replaced by:

  • trouble with - if an empty field, then another field must be empty

    IM in trouble with this code. What I do is take a time of entry by the user and adding 10 minutes and displays the new value in a second field. However if the input by the user field is empty, then the second field should also be empty.  Here is the code that I use and it is located in the area of personalised calculation of the second field (also tried in the part of the second field validation.)

    This line is incorrect:

    It should be:

    If (this.getField("Break1O").value == "") {}

  • No totals calculation in Acrobat forms

    I'm setting up a very basic shape for my accounting group.  This form must be just calculate RatePerMile x MilesTraveled at the MileageTotal equality and totals of Bkf + lunch + dinner + cool accessories + accommodation MILTotal equal the sum.  He is an acrobat form, and given that the request was simple, I used the tab default calculations for each of the totals.  The problem is in fact none of the totals returns a result.

    By reading related problems on the forums, I thought that the solution might be to set the order of computation of field.  But this option is grayed out, despite the fact that I currently have at least 3 calculations in the form at the moment.

    I'm working on Acrobat 9.4.7 on Windows XP, but I also took a glance on 9.4.7 on Windows machine just to see if the problem could be with my installation of Acrobat.  At this point, all I can think is that there is one simple thing, I forget which would have the results appear.  Any ideas?

    I don't know how you have created the form fields, but if you delete it in Acrobat and re-create them, then they work.

    With an array of fields as, I found using scripts custom calculation to calculate the field names may cause the less code and a copy of the code to be updated to correct an error of calculation.
