  New HP Pavilion with Windows 7 x 64 I downloaded Foxit Reader and installed and then uninstalled Adobe Reader to save space. Then, although it will open my PDF in 'My Documents', it will not open the Guides or learning PDF in HP help and Support files. Is there someone with more experience to use Foxit Reader that may suggest a work around? If I reinstall Adobe PDF then everything works again.

  I figured out it must be something security in IE8, but cannot work out how to re - activate the fingerprint software in IE8.

  This question has been posted sever times here in the forum and it related to the question of the compatibility between the old handler access to fingerprint Truesuite, IE8 and Firefox 3
  As far as I know the most recent Truesuite access manager software v3.0 or higher should solve this problem.

  The SD card reader does not work after installing windows 10. I contacted Microsoft... they fixed other issues but said HP drivers needed to be updated to read SD cards.  Help, please. I am a professional photographer and NEED to use SD cards!

• Dv7 fingerprint reader works not properly

  The fingerprint on my DV7 reader works on my initial connection, but has stopped working for any other site.  Sites and pwd are all loaded, but when I access them, I don't get the opportunity to use the fingerprint reader.  The laptop is a HP Pavilion dv7 Notebook PC, product number A5F92AV with an Intel Core i7-3610QM CPU @ 2.30 GHz and running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit Service Pack 1.

  You might start with the following:

  If you allow your Firefox to update automatically, then Firefox may have recently updated to V31.

  Make sure you have the following settings in place: always turn on

  Firefox > file > Tools > modules > Plugins > scroll down >

  Always turn on the value SimplePass (drop down on the right)

  • Closing of Firefox
  • Close all programs
  • Restart / reboot the computer and log in

• Card USB Reader works only with Windows 7 Final

  My internal card reader is not recognized by Windows 7.  I have uninstalled and installed the drivers of many times without effect.  When I installed the drivers from the website of manufacturers or automatically by Windows, it is not recognized.  After installing it manually through the Device Manager, it is now recognized, but returns the error: this device cannot start. (Code 10).  This device worked perfectly with Vista, Win 7 Beta and Win 7 RC.  The USB port on the card reader works, but not the card reader itself.  Can I use an external card reader and read the card.  The driver is: 6.1.7100.30093 by Realtek.

  I solved the problem.  I have checked the connections to the motherboard and swapped USB1 and USB2 connections.  When I reconnected it everything the computer would not start.  I disconnected the connections usb case before and tried and it worked.  It seems that one of the two connections business is bad and the card reader to stop working at the origin.

  Device manager showing the biometric reader works correctly. But in fact, the finger printer reader is not reading or senseing. It seems that the part "dummy". Please help me to correctly configure step by step for that matter.

• Z510 touchpad not working not with select lists or menus

  I have a windows Z510 10.

  When I try to use any application wit just the touchpad and open a list item or a menu select and try to scroll down, as I scroll tht disappears. If I want to scroll a list I have to use the scroll keys or connect a mouse. This happens with thunderbird, chrome and firefox. He arrived not with windows 8.1.

  I think that this has been resolved. I updated the driver toouchpad to the version of windows 10 and it seems to work.

• Foxit Reader does not open online pdf files

  I use Firefox 3.6.11 and Foxit Reader 4.2. I have no problem opening pdf files that I saved. But when a website wants to open a pdf file, I get a blank page.

  Another thing you'll need to do after you open Foxit tools and check both boxes, is to open Firefox, go to: Tools > Options > Applications. Scroll to PDF Document under Content Type. Cross action, click on the arrow to open the drop down menu and select: use Foxit Reader.

• Tecra M1 - SD card reader works only with 2GB card

  Tecra M1 1 GB XP Pro SP3 - card reader SD tea, which normally works with a 128Mb SD card, is not pleased to be working with a 2GB card. He is recognized as a disk but cannot be read or formatted. File system reported as RAW in the properties of the drive. Anyone any ideas?

  My E4407B Agilent does not work with my NOR-GPIB-USB-HS. I tried two different E4407B Agilent and 2 different NOR-GPIB-USB-HS, so I doubt it's different devices. The E4407B will not be displayed in the solutions of measurement and Automation Explorer. I tried fiddling with the matching settings listed here, but without result. What I need to make this work? I spoke in support of agilent and they claimed it wasn't my NOR-GPIB-USB-HS, settings on the Analyzer.

  Nevermind, I figured it. The NOR-GPIB-USB-HS is apperently not make good contact with GPIB port on the monitor, even if it is screwed to the bottom. I plugged the adapter to a GPIB cable, then GPIB cable to the parser, and it worked fine.

  We need a little more information to help you with your problem.  Did you successfully download the installation package and install, or do you mean that the number of downloaded files, and you cannot install it to start?

  If it has been installed, it did not affect a large number of your icons which aren't actually PDFs on the Adobe Reader icon?  That's why you get the error message "set associations".  I have included a link below to help the program associations and programs by default.

  If it is installed, can you try a known PDF file and see if it opens?  You can also completely uninstall Adobe reader and reinstall and see if that solves your problem.  Please let us know if you have any other questions.  Thank you. Shane

  At work my MacBook Pro and the iPhone have no problem with Airdrop. But when I come home they will not see each other. They are on the same network Wifi and Bluetooth and Wifi turned on!

  Make sure that the MacBook Pro and iPhone are connected to the same Wi - Fi network.   I have a big problem with my external hard drive and I hope someone can help me.

  Here's the thing:

  I used my external drive only on computers that don't have any port usb 3 and all worked well. The drive has been used only with usb ports 2.

  Now, I got a computer with a usb port 3 and I was happy to be able to use my external hard drive at full speed.
  Has been fine until I wanted to transfer a file using my drive.

  The disc has been recognized either of usb ports 2. The NTFS partition is a partition BRUTE! I had to ' chkdisk/f G:' to make it work again on my usb ports 2. And some files were missing!

  Then, back on my other computer (usb port 3), the contents were not the same! I mean some of the files that I deleted when it is plugged into usb 2 returned when plugged usb ion 3! And then, back to the usb 2, partition became RAW and I had ' chkdisk/f G:'... once again!

  So, to make it as simple as possible, after some testing, it seems that the drive can only be used on the usb ports 2-only on ports usb 3 but can not be used at a time, which is very annoying for a portable external hard drive.

  I tried to format the drive to my usb port 2 and return on the usb port 3, the content came as if I had never formatted it and then back on the usb port 2, the RAW score again...

  I use Windows 7 and 8.1 Windows computers.

  Someone at - it experience that? What is the drive (Toshiba Store Art 1 TB USB3 4)? What is the USB 3 specification? Is - Windows 7 or 8.1 drivers?
  And above all: what can I do?

  This external plug & play Toshiba HDD supports two USB standards: USB 3.0 and USB 2.0
  HARD drive around needs bus power 900mA to work correctly.

  The USB 3.0 port supports this standard 900mA. The USB 2.0 port allows only to 500mA.
  If in case the HARD disk is not working properly connected to the USB 2.0 port, I recommend you to use a USB cable to Y in order to connect the 2 ports USB 2.0 HARD disk.

  I have no idea why the content on the HARD drive is different, but from my point of few of the USB standard does not affect content.

  In my opinion, the HARD drive wasn't working properly using a USB 2.0 due to the low power.

  By the way: this HARD drive supports some additional features like the ability to oversight function and monitor to alert of the disk space that sends a alert when there is not enough available storage space.

  For advanced users, Toshiba has added the ability to customize the backup routine, including the ability to select only the most common file types for backup and change how many times a backup takes place.
