• How can you define what calendar and event in Thunderbird accessory is added to

  I get an event like attachment in Thunderbird, but when I accept I don't have no control over which lightning calendar, it is added to. It seems that they always added to an internal calendar that is not very useful for sharing.
  How can this be configured? I guess you would be asked which calendar to add to, or to move an event in one calendar to another, but does not work how do either.

  Hello. What is your calendar synchronized with other calendars? Gmail or Outlook for example. Could you have accepted an event from an e-mail? These are the settings > calendar > events are in Active Apps?

• BlackBerry smartphones, I want just that my BlackBerry to crush all contacts and events calendar

  Curiously, before 10.6.1 PocketMac works beautifully: my BlackBerry is my gospel for all contacts, and all events.  I would regularly synchronize it with my G4 to keep my MAC and then update to sync my iPhone with my Mac.  Certainly not the most elegant of the methods, but it worked perfectly for me.

  Now then - is anyway to put the new software RIM of simply replacing the MAC (iCal and address book) with data already on the BlackBerry?  I don't want a two-way synchronization: I don't want to "Replace all the contacts on this smart phone BlackBerry."  What I want is the antithesis of this command.

  The calendar option seems to be able to do, but not the Contacts?

  Any help or idea would be greatly appreciated.

  Hmmm... well - I myself have solved sort (but only for the calendar) and I have to keep on my toes on where I get stuff.

  I created a NEW calendar in iCal (empty of course) and said RIM software to sync ONLY to this calendar and everything went very well. Then I resynched my iPhone and iTunes says to only use the NEW calendar that now appears on the list of calendars.  I also changed the settings on the iPhone to make the new test calendar default view now.

  But since this is a two-way synchronization I always update the BlackBerry and never update the iCal calendar to keep both abreast (and keep the BB as the main source and do not have the mini infiltrate MAC the BB data).

  As my calendar dates are much more dynamic it works fine.  I'm always suspicious to do it for the address book and because changes to these entries are not too frequent I will put those manually (once, certainly NOT what I wanted to do, but it will suffice for now).

• Create calendar of events of the email?

  I have not tried using the door-match calendar yet. I use Google Calendar and am satisfied. However, it would be very convenient to convert an email (for example with an invitation or announcement of event) in a calendar event in Thunderbird, then export the event to Google. I don't see a way to do it, though. Is this one?

  You need to explore right click when using Thunderbird.

• After you restore an image of my system drive, my tasks and events disappeared. Help!

  I've restored a backup image on my C: drive. Everything looks good except all my events and tasks have disappeared from the calendar!
  I understand that this data is included in my profile, but how do I get my events and tasks and put back them in the calendar? Are the import and export of functions expected to be used to provide backups of my events and tasks? Shouldn't they already appear in the calendar after the restoration of a system disk?

  After a lot of messing around, I think I solved this problem.

  The problem occurs because of an incompatibility between certain values in prefs.js vs values in the data table cal_events.

  I copied backup prefs.js (containing the 'calendar') related lines in the current prefs.js and now everything looks OK, I can see my tasks and events in the calendar.

  The lines looked like this:
  user_pref ("calendar.list.sortOrder", "75f0f98f-9fdf-4bca-9e48-656ff2e1457d 012fd0d9-bcf1-43b1-a98d-6b0117a3f779 511ca361-a646-4f94-880b-526a0a5cdba1");

  These long numbers must correspond to the values of the column. cal_id apparently if they do not match, they do not appear in the calendar.

  Mine does not, so I corrected the values in the prefs.js file and everything seems to go fine now.

  I still need to find the cause of the incompatibility, I think it was something in the way that I restored the disk then run MozBackup to restore my backup Thunderbird.

  This is what happens when you improve Thunderbird and do not upgrade the lighting. Since you give everything, but what version of Thunderbird, you use the best I can offer is to go to this link and download the correct version of the lightning for Thunderbird that you run and install. • Calendar and tasks are grey in the main menu. Cannot start the lightning

  I can't launch the lightning. 'Calendar' and 'Tasks' are grayed out in the menu display.

  You don't open a lightning in the View Menu. You open it in the menu of events and tasks, and then click Calendar.

  The shortcut is Ctrl + Shift + C

  The selection of calendar under view must set options when you open calendar.

• iPhone 5s not appearing is not in the calendar of events

  After I created an event, it appears in the calendar for a few seconds and it disappears. When I check on the calendar iCloud Web site, it will appear here. For some strange reason, it's simply not appear on my phone.

  Sounds like you're trying to enter new events, but they disappear after a few seconds. First of all, I would leave the calendar and settings apps:

  Force an app to close the iOS

  1. press the Home button twice quickly. You will see small glimpses of your applications recently used.
  2. slide to the left to find the application you want to close.
  3. push upward on the overview of the application to close.

  When you have done that reboot the device and test again the question:

  iOS: switch off and on (restart) and reset
  
  If the problem persists, save your device in iTunes, then restore it like new and verify that it works.
  
  How to clear your iOS device and then set up as a new device or restore from backups

• BlackBerry smartphones want to delete calendar and start again

  I have a Pearl 8130 with Bell Mobility.  I sync using google sync for google calendar.  I have a Mac at home and do not use desktop manager or any other software to manage my BB.  I do it all right on your handheld.  I recently started major problems with duplicate entries.  Despite trying to get help with duplicate entries, nothing worked and I want to just wipe the calendar and start over.  I don't have FB loaded on the phone but the cical and the cmime are both set to my main gmail account.

  Can someone tell me please how to clear the calendar since I don't have Desktop Manager?  Or maybe a solution that works with my Mac?

  I found the answer.  Instructions are here http://www.yale.edu/its/mobile-technology/blackberry/remove-calendar-items.html.  The only thing that not removed from my calendar using this method was since then the recurring events I had with no end date.  Everything else has gone.

I tried the two support the Apple technology AND Windows technical support and they have no answers for me. Two of them say don't know is not how the other operating system. Kind of infuriating.   Here in this scenario, I suggest to add your iClound account to the calendar application and check if it helps. Try the following steps to add an account to the calendar application.

  1. On start, tap or click Calendar.
  2. Enter in the right edge of the screen, and then tap settings.
     (If you use a mouse, point to the upper right of the screen, move the pointer of the mouse down and then click settings.)
  3. Tap or click accounts.
  4. Press or click Add account, le type the type of account you want to add, and then follow the on-screen instructions.

  By adding the iCloud account, you can synchronize the calendar events in iCloud with calendar app in Windows 8.

  There is a security setting of region to escape special characters , but he affecting the value No is having no effect, that may be a bug.

  As a solution, rather than include the image in the application supplement, use your conditional logic to add another class for the event, with a dynamic action that adds the image to the events so that class.
