Calendar AS3 with the position of the mouse control.

Hi everyone, thanks in advance to the community for any help you might be able to offer, it's all the incredably appreceated.

It is a problem which had scratching me my head for months and be a facilitator, was really stretching my AS3 skills a bit.

I create an interactive story of sorts and what is needed is to use the horizontal position of the mouse to scroll forward or backward on a timeline that is, when the mouse is in the dead center of the stage that the playhead does not move, but once he deveates right centre of the read head moves forward and plays the animation and a Once it moves to the left the read head begins to move backwards.

Ideally I would have an acceleration effect, where the animation scrolls while the timeline at a minimum speed when the mouse is always close to the Center but at a faster rate once it is reached the edges, but right now, it is a secondary concern.

There are also keys to move through various scenes, I can code myself, I only mention this in case it affects the rest of the code.

    It seems that you may be heading in a different direction, but I thought I would offer my 2 cents.  One possibility would be to update the point in the data table based on the position of the mouse in the MouseMove callback and replot then data.  Although it may not fully satisfy all your needs, below is a simple example of how to proceed.  If all goes well, it may be of some use to you.

  • Open submenus when I stop on them with the mouse pointer does not work

    I used to use Vista Upgrade of XP until it hit the big time. With this installation, the option 'Open submenus when I dwell on them with the mouse pointer' worked perfectly well.  Since I did a format and installed the full installation of Vista version, and now this feature does not work. I checked and re-checked the option in the customization of the menu star and nothing. Also unable to find what anyone at the mouse settings itself.

    Does anyone know how to get this feature to work again once it's something I use a lot.

    Does work here on Vista either, but I don't want it works even if it is checked.

    Try UnChecking the start - Customize - Menu tab apply / OK and then go back and save
    Apply / OK.

    If no joy this initiative will eventually.

    Start - computer, or Windows Explorer - Tools - Folder Options - general tab - check the
    Single click to open an item - APPLY / OK

    Control Panel - mouse - look for hover or click Automatic similar settings according to your mouse.

    When a TouchPad

    Look in the Notification area next to the clock for all TouchPad control program.

    Control Panel - mouse - also look for it TouchPad (mine is on the device however settings tab
    other brands and maybe on the other tabs and more than one). There are usually the parameters that
    can determine if a click, double click, hover or can open or close a program.

    Start - computer, or Windows Explorer - Tools - Folder Options - general tab - check the
    Single click to open an item - APPLY / OK

    If some people are well positioned can change to some other setting if you plan to leave
    them that way and then change again.

  • When the page opens, the scroll bar appears only if I move to bottom of page with the mouse

    It started last week with Firefox 5 and continues with the upgrade to Firefox 6. Each new page that opens in Firefox does not display a scroll bar. By entering the lower right of the page with the mouse and move the mouse to the right, the scroll bar appears and is usable. This "correction" is required on each new page.

    This condition looks similar to the condition met when Firefox 5 was introduced. The fix was to open appearances in tools then choose the default setting. This patch doesn't work anymore.

    Hi Marc, I reduced the problem by not including not not a software startup in msconfig setup.  Then I discovered the mouse to operate as usual, sort of method of disposal, I reduced to a pointer unwanted facility that I deselected and then ran as usual.  All is well now.
