In my calendar list, there are a number just to the right of the calendar name.  That means this number indicate?

Hello James,.

Thank you for using communities of Apple Support.

I see that you are looking for information about a number that is displayed to the right of the calendar name. Looks like you're talking to the Notifications button in the toolbar.

The Notifications button shows how you invitations. If you do not have the invitations, it is not available. A few gray circle next to a calendar in the calendar list name shows how event notifications are waiting for this calendar.

You can find more information about calendar invitations and/or notifications in this article:

  • API to get the list of contacts, calendar, information from music files?

    Hello

Is there support for the list of contacts, calendar list information files or music from the platform. In the case where a user synchronizes contacts, calendars, music files using a smartphone BlackBerry bridge, how applications can get access to this information?

    concerning

    Arun

They have not released these APIs to interact with calendar and contacts features yet. They are still working on this feature for the PlayBook, but I think we would expect that in the next version of the OS.

I'm not sure of the bridge and the music info, but I'm sure that these APIs are in the same boat as the contacts and calendar.

  • BlackBerry 10 problems with list of calendars and Google Apps contacts

    Hello world

First I did a search but the results that are returned are all either outdated (using ActiveSync) or does not work for me (CalDAV and using the client to add a default account).

I have a free Gmail from Google Apps (e.g. @companyname instead of @gmail) business account and the difficulty to get the calendar and contacts. I had no problem adding my regular Gmail account and that synchronized all emails, contacts and calendar list, but the Google Apps account will only add to my @website account, but not the calendar or contact list.

Can someone help or direct me to a thread that I might have missed?

    Thank you!

Oh, I'm sorry... I missed the word 'free' on your first post... you have free Google Apps and not paid Google Apps... As far as I KNOW, only paid accounts still get ActiveSync:

    • KB33798 10 blackBerry Smartphone displays the error message "Service for account is not available, access should be available soon a 403 error" when you try to integrate a Gmail via Microsoft ActiveSync free

Therefore, you must configure via IMAP, you have to first of all make sure you activate via the Gmail webmail interface. According to the KB above the BB10 Assistant should be able to configure correctly, without having to provide advanced details (after you activate your Google account to IMAP, of course).

    Good luck!

  • How to set a default calendar for new events in the calendar on Macbook Pro

Although I have studied this issue in forums, I'm still without resolution. New default event for the calendar of 'Calendar' in the game on my Mac of calendars even when it is initially unchecked and hidden in the calendars list.

I don't see a place in the calendar preferences or in system preferences > iCloud to make changes. I would like new events, write in the default calendar for "Calendar" calendar in my iCloud.com account.

    Any thoughts?

    Well, here's the scoop:

To set the default calendar, open the calendar, choose calendar > Preferences, and then click general.

    Default calendar

The calendar where new events are added by default. If you choose "Selected calendar", then the calendar highlight in the calendar list is the default calendar.

  • Cannot add appointments to the calendar

I used OS10.6.8 until recently, but the new Macbook Pro has OS 10.11.6

I tried to use the calendar in ElCaptain for the first time, but failed to add all appointments.

When I tried to make a message entry; "You can change events in the calendar 'Found in the Mail'."

Only the calendar administrator and delegates with permission can make changes to the read-only calendars. To make changes to the calendar, contact the calendar administrator.

I found the following tips, but that did not work:

    • Select the item, and then choose file > get info, or press on command I.
    • Click the triangle next to sharing and permissions to expand the section.
    • Click on the drop down menu next to your user name to view the settings for permissions.
    • If you are not signed in as an administrator, you may need to click the lock icon and enter an administrator name and password.
    • Change the permissions to read & write or "read only".

I selected calendar in applications and followed the instructions above.

    Everyone is set to "Custom".

System has been on "read and write".

Wheel has been set to "read only".

Everyone has been set to "" read-only ".

With the "padlock icon" open I tried to change the entries:

By system logic should have allowed me to make entries in the calendar. However, I tried to affect the other classifications "read and write.

The result was a warning message: "the operation cannot be performed because you don't have the necessary authorization."

I check accounts and not use their calendar, so I am at a loss.

My previous systems never had problems with calendar, or change permissions.

    Any ideas would be welcome.

    Hi memory,

Congratulations on the new MacBook Pro! I appreciate that you try add calendar events, but to send a message that you cannot write to this calendar. I know it's important to keep track of your events, so I am happy to help clarify this.

Due to the error "you cannot change events in the calendar 'Found in the Mail'." he said that you currently selected found in Mail schedule, which does not allow to write for her because these events are created only from your Mail.

To change the calendar you are trying to create these events in, first, click on the Calendar button in the upper left corner of the window, and then select the new calendar.

If you do not have other calendars or need to create a new one, check out the following steps:

The basics of the Mac: calendar keeps your appointments - Apple Support

    Create new calendars

By default, OS X includes two calendars in Calendar - work and home. If you want to create a new calendar, choose new calendar in the menu file . In the text box, type a name for your calendar. For example, if you have children, you can create a separate calendar for each of them follow their schedules. You can see and control how your calendars will appear by clicking the calendar button.

To change the color or the name of a calendar, select it in the calendars list, and then choose the command Edition > read the information. To remove a calendar and all its manifestations, click or control the calendar name, and then select delete in the context menu that appears.

Once you have selected a different calendar, you can add events as expected:

  • All my calendars have disappeared apart from birthdays

As of today (probably) I'm not able to see the events calendar on my iPhone (Mac and iCloud are works well). All I see in the calendar on iPhone app is a holiday calendar. I can't add a new event. I already tried to change deactivation/activation of the calendar under settings-iCloud-calendars but nothing helped (only when it is off, I can add new events). When turned back on, I see only holiday and cannot do any action.

Discount calendars directly in the application also doesn't do a thing.

    Hello Majkl2,

Thank you for using communities Support from Apple. I know have a problem with the iCloud calendar, it's not what you expect. If I understand correctly, you are unable to see or synchronize your calendar on your iPhone iCloud, but iCloud calendars work as expected on your Mac and iCloud.com. Since you've already tried some troubleshooting, I suggest these steps to solve your problem:

    1. turn off all of the calendars listed in settings > Mail, Contacts, calendars on your iPhone. Then, restart your iPhone like closing down and starting process is important to keep the iPhone software works correctly:

Restart your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch

    2. in case this could be a network related issue of restarting your iPhone, try to use cellular data or another Wi - Fi network, then turn on iCloud calendars with settings > Mail, Contacts, calendars, and test the issue again.

    3. If you're still having problems at this point, follow the steps described in this article on your question:

  • Problems of synchronization to blackBerry Smartphones. Calendar and Outlook 2003

    Hello

    I'm new to the BlackBerry.

I have trouble getting my unit to Outlook calendar entries. For years, I relied heavily on the possibility to do this flawlessly on my nokia.

I looked through the forum on this issue and it seems that I'm not the only one, but none of the responses gave a solution.

I read the http://bbry.lv/awQg9a article and found little assistance, but he did not answer why different entries are coming in different colors, but still confuse me, as follows:

    1. I use the v5.0.0.696 (platform 6.2.0.57) software on my phone.

    2. In the calendar options > select Calendar there are two calendars listed, default device (Blue square) and my gmail (squareGreen ) address, but when I add entries on the device, they are in the Red.  I have 1 entry into Blue, 500 + Green and several in the black.

    3. Advanced options > service on my phone book lists the gmail service, but not the service bureau, the page does not mention how to solve this problem!
    4. Advanced options > Default Services - calendar (CICAL) only lists my gmail account and cannot be changed to anything else.
    5. My phone uses an account BIS; but I can't find an option send using.

Can someone please fix it or indicate where to find info?

    Thank you very much

    Jim

In addition to the reading out of messages later, I came acroos one who said

"I found a thread that said to go in your service (under"Advanced Options") books and remove all e-mail addresses with"Cical"after her. I just tried and it seems to work! »

    It worked for me too

    Thank you all

When I go to file-> open-> other user folder-> and then select my workspace in the global address list, it comes up with the error:

Unable to display this folder. The calendar folder is not found.

However, the calendar should exist that I created within the workspace Central hive top events.

If anyone can help that would be great! Thanks in advance.

Instead of opening a file like this, try to add the Workspace menu Tools > workspaces.

  • the space in the center of the display calendar top of the real calendar no longer displays a list filtered in several events.

the space in the center of the calendar view top of the real calendar that is used to display a list filtered in several events. This list is now missing. How can I get that back?

Finally, I noticed a menu item "events and tasks > find Events" with no shortcuts like Ctrl-F, which I tried. That fixed it.

  • print a list of the events of the calendar 'find '.

I have a no regular periodic event and have used the Find command to create a list of dates, but am unable to print this list in order to send it to someone else. When I use 'Select all"'copy' and 'Paste' to another document, I get the underlying code, not the data

You really want to print on paper?

If you save what you copy into a text file and give it an .ics extension, many other programs of the calendar will be able to open and see.

However, try to select the events that you want to print (in the find pane), then go to file. Print and choose "Selected events". It seems to be trying to print what I selected. It prints well in PDF format; I don't have against a real hardware printer tried yet.

  • Blurry text "BOLD" in the list of messages not read and Board calendar and list files

After the update of TB to 38.2.0 "BOLD" of fonts on the Panel with the list of folders, unread messages appear in bold in the list of received messages and all text with a font in bold in the calendar Panel has become blurred and almost unreadable. All the solutions proposed in the branch with the similar issue 4 months ago were not useful. Someone knows how to fix this?

    Two questions you can answer:

    (a) what version do you use?

    (b) there is a definition of the 'hardware acceleration' options | Advanced | General - what happens if you reverse this check box (if it is the turn it, if it is off turn it)?
