  • What is the current screen resolution recommended for projects/records?

My team uses a variety of screen resolutions to their workstations, so we try to decide on a standard for the Captivate projects and recordings.  Our projects must be consulted by users of laptops and desktops, with a great diversity in age and the location of the eye. What is the current recommendation for the size of the Captivate project?

We had settled on 800 x 600, but since we use a Table of contents on projects, this means that people using 1024 x 768 on their office do scroll to the right to see the entire slide.  If we use 720 x 540, everything seems to be fine.

On some web pages, I've seen 1024 x 768 recommended as the minimum resolution to develop for, but that seems to be a little dated now that more people are getting wide screens. What minimum aim for you (especially if you add a Table of contents)?

    Thank you!

In my company, we use 980 x 560 px because it fits perfectly into our LMS framework and corresponds to a screen of 1024 x 768. We do not use the table of contents so the 980px wide is the actual content area.

Most of our users run 1280 x 1024 resolutions, but we have some more using the old trust 1024 x 768 while we always aim the smallest resolution as scrollbars ongoing e-Learning will kill your course.

  • Re: Tecra M5 - cannot use the native screen resolution of my external monito

Hi, I have a Tecra M5 and just bought a BenQ G2220HD monitor. However, I can't display the native resolution of 1920 x 1080. I guess it's a problem with my video card.

If so, can anyone please suggest what video card, I need to buy?

    Thank you

    Scott

    Hello!

I checked the manual of your laptop (it can be downloaded from the Toshiba site) and it seems that the resolution 1920 x 1080 is not taken in charge.
Here is the list of manual of the supported screen resolutions:
    640 x 480
    800 x 600
    1024 x 768
    1280 x 1024
    1600 x 1200
    1920 x 1440
    2048 x 1536

I think that should answer your question ;)

And as Akuma says the graphics card can t be exchanged because it s soldered onto the motherboard. In the area of the FAQ in the forum, I founded this interesting article:

  • Qosmio G20: How to get the higher screen resolution on monitor external 22 "

I have a Qosmio G20 and today I bought a Samsung 226BW the external display. The Samsung has a max resolution / optimal 1680x1050px. The manual SAIS the laptop Toshiba supports a resolution of the external display up to 2048 x 1536...

I tried now all sorts of settings, but the highest resolution I get on the external monitor is 1440 x 900 (-even as the laptop).
1440 x 900 display 22 '' is not enough for serious photo editing;. It seems simply blur.

What I am doing wrong? I deeply appreciate answers/comments; because if 1440 x 900 is all I can get, I have to return to the external monitor to the store...

    If someone is so good!
    Espen.

    Hello

The available screen resolution depends on the graphics driver. You cannot choose the favorite one from the 1680 x 1050 resolution because it doesn t graphics card driver supports.

Perhaps an update of the graphics driver could help.

By the way; an inf file must be provided by the manufacturer of the monitor. You can install this file right-click and choosing install.

You can try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.

    • Tools > Options > advanced > General > Browsing: "use hardware acceleration when available.

You will need to close and restart Firefox after enabling/disabling this setting.

You can check if there is an update for your display driver graphic card and search for hardware acceleration of related issues.

Is it possible to get a screen resolution higher than stock, or better with the color / contrast?

I was always annoyed how to wash the stock on my watched Toshiba screen. Recently the screen is cracked, so I figure now is the best time to look at the options.

Google gave me very little information so far. I checked prices on replacement of the screen, with the part about being 60 and part + service with an average of 120, but that most likely leaves me with the same or lower screen quality.

I hope to find something more suited to the movies / games and in 1600 x 900 if possible.

Indications as to where I should start my search?

    Hello

    > Is it possible to get a screen resolution higher than stock, or better with the color / contrast?
Yes, this should be possible since the graphics card should support a higher resolution.

The laptop supports display TFT 15.6 "(HD).
You certainly have the same screen size.

  • HP Pavilion p6823w: the HP screen resolution

So I just recently installed the preview of Windows 10 and I ended up getting very large screens as usual. So I used some old drivers when I was looking for them for Windows 7. I installed all the drivers that I kept and time stand, auto screen resized itself and it was 1600 x 900, which is the size of my screen. Overview of Windows 10 being in beta, there was a lot of bug so I decided to remove 10 Windows and install Windows 8.1. When I tried to use the same drivers, the screen remained the same at 1280 x 1024.

How does this work again? Auto, Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows 10 works resize screen, but not the Windows 8.1? WIndows 8 and Windows 8.1 do not have the same modules? How that even make any sense. And what makes it all even funnier how will Windows 10 preview (Beta) can pick up and automatic resizing with the same drivers in Windows 7 and Windows 8?

Well. Might as well scratch or close this message. My computer no longer works because I wanted to was to resize the screen resolution and now my BIOS killed my computer. Sigh...

  • E540 + Dock among Pro - max of the external screen resolution is 1280 x 1024

    Hello

This issue could be discussed and resolved already somewhere else, but I couldn't find a match for my situation:

I recently bought the ThinkPad E540 with Pro among docking station, in which I have connected my external LG Flatron IPS236 monitor. LG max resolution is Full HD 1920 x 1080, but for some reason any the max of my external screen resolution is only 1280 x 1024. The screen is connected to the station Pro among DVI port. I have two day of the graphic card drivers and the LG monitor drivers and started the system. I also tried using 75 hertz and framerate of 60 Hz, but without any help.

    What should I try next?

HA, I finally got. Research on the subject long enough, revealed the cold made that updated Lenovo systems do not provide you with the last set of drivers (graphics card). On the contrary, it prevents actually update you the drivers downloaded from the provider (Intel) site. * beep *.

So was the solution for this:

-Remove the display card drivers (Device Manager / display adapter / preferences / adapter / uninstall)

-The latest drivers downloaded from the web site of the hardware vendor intall

    BUT PLEASE NOTE:

Just after I had uninstalled the original display card drivers both the external display and the display of the desktop became black. I had to reset my computer and start Windows Mode safe, where I was able to install the new drivers.

Now my question for Lenovo is: * beep *.

Why is - that you can not simply to allow installation of the latest drivers from map display through your own update system OR simply give users the ability to update the original adater than newer display drivers.

  • In any case to change the splash screen resolution?

    Hello

I have a laptop wide screen (16:9) with a resolution of 1280 x 800. When I turn it on, the start screen (logo "Windows XP" and a loading bar) gets stretched and does not my screen resolution. Y at - it a fix for this?
    Kind regards
    Nathan

Nope - the splash screen uses the lowest possible resolution so that it will show regardless of monitor, card used graphic, video system or TV.  This is basically the "infallible" mode

  • Impossible to change the laptop screen resolution

original title: laptop computer screen resolution problem

Reference Dell Inspiration 8200 computer laptop running Windows XP.  The screen resolution is set to 1600 x 1200.  When I change to 1024 x 768 or 800 x 600, the Office is shrinking and is centered on the black space screen all around rather than to just all look more and filling the screen as it happens on my desktop computer.

    How can I fix it?

The laptop has one (and only one) goal and it's playing a game on it.  The game comes tiny in the center of the screen and I want that it fills the screen as in the same way as on my desktop.  The game's maximum resolution is 800 x 600.

  • How to set the lower screen resolution on HP Pavilion

I'm trying to figure out if its possible to lower my screen resolution of 800 x 600 on my HP Pavilion Sleekbook 14 - b010us running on Windows 8. I need to do that; It is the only way that I can get my pico projector to run using VGA to HDMI - I tried it with my Sony VAIO and it works perfectly. The lowest setting that I see on my HP is 1024 x 768, and it does not work. Any help? Don't want to have to buy a new projector - this one works very well and the HP laptop has a VGA port

I came across this same issue using the resolution option custom in the Intel driver manager and has had success using mode low resolution.  I had also edited the registry to force more options.  The registry change which resulted in several resolutions between 1366 x 768 and 1024 x 768, but nothing lower.  Windows 8 is not really designed for lower resolutions (at least, which is not the ideal targeted resolutions), so I guess that would be present on any standard notebook Windows 8.

However, I have relevΘ this site today to make sure I wasn't overlooking anything... and it seems that I was.  I don't know how I didn't have to check the option advanced settings for more resolutions.  This approach does not require mode low resolution to restart, but it's going to require a screen resolution > avancΘs > list all modes to get 800 x 600 option each time you need.

Let me know if this has answered your questions.
