Call WebHelp by using URLS.

Hi Peter:

I read your column "Call WebHelp using URLs" on your Web site. In this topic, your examples are URLS for projects to help on the Web that are accessible from the drive on your local computer.

I tried to use your instructions to access WebHelp on a Web server using: http://abc.com/startpage.htm#target_topic_1.htm. In doing so, the target field opens with the OCD and al. However, the table of contents are not synchronized on the topic of the target.

Can you tell me what I'm missing? BTW, I'm using RH x 5.

Thank you
K

Thank you, Pierre.

Step 8 of "Merging Webhelp" of your extract 1 solved the problem. Thank you very much.

Kind regards
K

  • How can I build a context-sensitive help by using URL?

    The seller of the software I have created help files do not use any number, only the URL to call screens.

    Hello

    Here's the deal. When you open help in a generic way, you use a URL that looks like this:

    http://www.showmesolutions.biz/HelpExamples/WebHelp/index.htm

    This is the start page for a release of RoboHelp. Regardless of the subject that is presented in the window, the way works WebHelp is to present the same URL in the address bar.

    To determine the exact URL of an individual subject, open the topic and right click. Choose an option from the context menu that will reveal the topic or information page. This should lead to discover the actual URL that points to the subject itself. It may look like this:

    http://www.showmesolutions.biz/HelpExamples/WebHelp/New_Folder/Second_Topic.htm

    If you generated the WebHelp by using the option "Show Navigation pane link in topics", this should be a link that can be clicked to submit the complete set of frameworks WebHelp with the topic you want to view.

    And here is the subject in frameset full WebHelp

    If at this point, you have a decision to make.

    I want the contextual call to present the user with only the subject? If so, this is just to note the URL you recorded that leads to this topic.

    Or what I call contextual to present the frameworks full WebHelp with the appropriate subject game loaded? If this is what you want, you will introduce the topic, then click on the view link, then note the URL that appears in the address bar of the browser. Usually will look something like this:

    http://www.showmesolutions.biz/HelpExamples/WebHelp/index.htm#New_Folder/Second_Topic.htm

    Note the path, you would normally see to open aid has now been added with the #New_Folder/Second_Topic.htm

    I hope that helps a little... Rick

  • Call WebHelp of JS is not display content in frames

    Hello

    We use WebHelp on a UNIX server run from the cloud, to replace the Spartan help content - at best, dish-original HTML came out with a program based on the web, which has been "contextual" through mapping #Name destinations in the old help web page. For it work, we have a JavaScript that maps the old #Name to the new WebHelp MapIDs destinations and redirects the old web help page to a subdirectory that has the WebHelp output files. But it is not working properly. If we invoke WebHelp via

    HH_DISPLAY_TOC, the new WebHelp opens in the frameset, but does not have the context mapping.

    The programmer said that we need a way to invoke help by using a URL. So, I sent him what he says in the help system of HR for programmers:

    RH_ShowHelp (0, "IQ_Help/util_en.html", HH_HELP_CONTEXT, HelpTag)

    I also have him sent a file PDF HR help topics for programmers on call WebHelp.

    From what I understand reading the JavaScript (and I'm NOT a programmer), he put HelpTag as variable for the ID card that is provided in a .properties file.

    Tried without success using one of the following ways of calling (not like lines sequential code, but as methods of replacement of the same line of code):

    • RoboHelp_ShowHelp (http://[servername]/IQ_Help/util_en.html, 0)
    • RH_ShowHelp (0, "IQ_Help/util_en.html > UUGuide % 20SPi", HH_HELP_CONTEXT, HelpTag)
    • RH_ShowHelp (0, "IQ_Help/util_en.html > UUGuide % 20SPi", HH_DISPLAY_TOC, HelpTag)
    • http:// [Servername] / robohelp/rest/robowindow? wtype = ctx & context = HelpTag <- as a call to the URL

    I'm sorry, I'm looking like a real fool here - I'm really not good at all on Java or JavaScript and I never had to lead a programmer by how the help call to work, and I'm at the end of her patience with me... I don't know where else to turn... I need an idea on YOUR part.

    I thought to provide the text of JavaScript here, but I don't know for sure if he could appear as text, or how to get an attachment that is safe. Please tell me?

    Thanks in advance,

    The reason why you are confused, it's that a lot of this is stuff for your developers to read and understand. You may need to associate your hierarchical in any policy if they push it to you.

    However as the stuff of URL do require an API. If you look at just the call WebHelp using URL on my site or the link that Rick has given, I think you will be OK with that. After back if not.

  • How to call static pages using web.show_document on the application server

    Hi all.

    I'm using forms / reports 11 g Rel2.

    I´d like to call it a few static pages of forms using web.show_document and have the pages located on the same machine where the application server is running.

    I know it's more a problem of Oracle HTTP Server configuration, but I want to know if I can use one of the default virtual directories already defined on the installation process.

    Please recommend a virtual directory to use.

    Best regards, Luis... :))

    Sure. You can store the files anywhere you want. Of course, it is easy to create a new virtual directory. But if you want to use an existing one, the most obvious likely would be the virtual path of/forms/html that can be found here:

    INSTANCE_HOME\config\FormsComponent\forms\html

    The url to access it would look something like this:

    http://server:port/forms/HTML/myWebPage.htm

  • Linking projects using URLS

    I have a series of 8 projects that are too big to be in a project (and bound together using ' jump to slide # ").

    I therefore published each as an .exe file and creates a unique URL for each of them. I can now use 'Open URL' to connect each of these published projects.

    However, this creates two problems for users:

    1. each .exe opens the 'Open file' dialog box and requires that you click "Run" and it takes a few seconds for each section which is not very homogeneous, or easy to use.

    2. once the new .exe file opens, the previous .exe remains open. If you were to go through my entire module you would have 8 open .exe files to close at the end (they all would be empty since I've currently assigned them to "Action No." However, it would be better to somehow make them close!).

    Anyone has any ideas how to solve both these problems to make my module more smooth for my users?

    Another question - my .exe 'Main Menu' has a list of each of these .exe that connects to each of them. Because it is a blade of the singular (and has no purpose other than display options and wait for the user to click on one of the links) there is no reason to be timed. I want to remain static (so that the user feels not rushed or get expired), but I don't know of any way to do it.

    Any help would be appreciated! I thank very you much in advance!

    LOL, I laugh when people proclaim boldly some options are simply non-existent.

    If you click Edit > Preferences, and then click the node of the project on the left, followed by the node to start and end at the bottom of the list, you should see an option at the bottom of the dialog box titled: end of project options. There should be a menu drop-down. And when you click the drop-down menu, you say that you do not have the option I do called: close project?

    Give him a look and see what you find.

  • abstractWSDL points to the physical host name when using URL loadbalanced

    Document tracking "Oracle® Fusion Middleware Enterprise Deployment Guide for Oracle SOA Suite 11 g Release 1 (11.1.1) E12036-04" to implement soa suite 11 g PS2 in two node cluster environment.

    Hostname SOA physical server (SOAHOST1 & SOAHOST2)

    More SOA is configured with the virtual host name (SOAHOST1VHN1 & SOAHOST2VHN1 Port: 8001) and loadbalancer URL is http://soa.mycompany.com:7777.

    Successfully completed installation and the steps of post-installation as update callbackServerURL and serverURL to http://soa.mycompany.com:7777

    Also updated HttpServerURL as http://soa.mycompany.com:7777.

    Composite SOA successfully deployed to the cluster from jdeveloper soa and tested control of Fusion middleware 11g (EM) webservices. And his works fine.

    When I goto page to Test Composite, the WSDL and endpoint URL appear as expected is http://soa.mycompany.com:7777 / soa-infra/services/default/ccValidation/getStatusByCC? WSDL and http://soa.mycompany.com:7777 / soa-infra/services/default/ccValidation/getStatusByCC

    But when I access the WSDL in the abstractWSDL browser is having hostname of the server that is mentioned below. Cause this problem by calling this webservice of some other jdeveloper 11g bpel processes. When I enter the url http://soa.mycompany.com:7777 WSDL / soa-infra /... in Web service activity (after placing the activity in the corridor of "External References") and wire BPEL to webservice, WSDL url in webservice is changed to http://soahost1.mycompany.com:8001 / soa-infra /... and wiring is faulty.

    Since soa suite managed server is configured with the virtual host name, the wsdl file is accessible only by using their virtual hostnames (SOAHOST1VHN1 & SOAHOST2VHN1) and load balancer url. Access WSDL using the physical hostname soahost1 would result in "Page not found" error. Why Jdeveloper isn't able to wire bpel with webservice component.

    Question:

    Is there any configuration that I need to change for this problem?

    Thanks in advance.

    Kind regards

    I look at using RoboHelp to produce files/Guides, help and training manuals at the risk of eliminating the repetative job and keep control of the management of versions. However, our application is a J2EE product based on an ASP model can produce us a separate site for the Robohelp-generated help files and have context sensitive help in the application to open a URL in the help via a reference tag files.

    Welcome to the forum.

    This is not a web application hosted on a server? If so I don't think you want to generate a CHM file help, good format would be WebHelp. Why? See the topic below that explains why CHM files do not work on a server without hacking the registry, your clients might not appreciate.

  • How to use URL GO?

    Hi all

    I have two reports-

    Report1 - Sun (A1, A2, A3), did a (B1, B2, B3)

    I2 - Dim C (C1, C2, C3), made C (D1, D2, D3)

    Where A1, A2,..., B1, B2..., C1, C2,..., D1, D2... are the attributes of dimensions and facts.

    When drilling of the B1 attribute in Report1, I want to pass the parameter A1 to Report2 and want to see only the records of State 2
    for what C1 = A1. The attributes A1 and C1 are having the same values.

    For drilling of measure B1, I use to GO the URL. But "Dim A.A1" is not present in the Report2. In Report2, I have "Dim C.C1".

    To GO the URL, the parameter that is passed to a report should be present in the second report.

    So, how can I implement this scenario? My target report has the different attribute.

    Thanks, Ashish

    Hello.

    Try to put this in the expression of the column in Report1, defined in HTML and remove - data format * (I put it to be able to write the complete code) of an HTML tag:

    '<--a href="">
    Path = / shared/development/I2
    & Action = browse
    & P0 = 1
    & P1 = eq
    & P2 = TableName. "" C1 ".
    & P3 =' | TableName. ' A1 ' |. ' »
    style = "" text-decoration: none; ' > ' "
    "|" link name "
    ||
    '<-->'

    Now, you are able to call Report2 and analyze the current row column A1 value Report1 to a filter in C2 in Report2.

    Tablename.C1-> column target (I2)
    Tablename.A1-> column source (report 1)

    Keep the format of ocular data in those columns and change the path to your path Report2.
