Calories burned (under wellness\activity tracker)

Guys, I realized that the W450 count my steps taken throughout the day, I wear the device, but I'm curious about something. When I discovered my activity tracker and it shows XXX amount of calories burned, is specific to the measures only? For example, yesterday I was at 8200 measures taken, with 4096 calories burned. I'm about 195 lbs. Also, I went for a stroll in cycling and weight lifting in the gym so I don't know it this graph is including both of my workouts, which totaled about 1600 calories. Thanks for the help!

There is no way specifically look at this, but in the portal under training-> course past workouts, you can see all the activities that you did on a given day and slice by cals/distance/duration

However, is not in the BMR and measures taken when not in a training mode.

  • Measure calories burned when using drive

    Hello

The question I have is will be your Apple Watch measure speed of combustion of different calories for the same distance at the same time, when to do using workout app as opposed to not use the app to drive?

The reason for the question is that I read by using the training app, Apple Watch switches on the relevant sensors. Does this mean that these other motion detectors are normally off and if that affect the accuracy of the measure of calories burned during exercise?

    Concerning

    Hello

Yes - followed by an open-air market, for example, through the training app can result in a more accurate estimate of your active Calories burned during this activity.

When follow you an activity using the application of the training session and specify a type of activity, your watch uses the most appropriate sensors and data sources to estimate the outcome of this workout.

For example, when you save an open air market:

    • If you also take your iPhone along (with compatible Bluetooth and location Services), your watch can access the GPS of the iPhone data when estimating the PACE and distance.
    • If you do not take your iPhone along, the watch relies on data from the accelerometer in the estimate of the PACE and distance.
    • Data from the heart rate sensor is used during the estimation of the Active Calories, including calculations which are adapted to this type of activity specified.

Calibrate your watch also helps to improve the accuracy of the different estimates made by the activity and workout app app. More information and instructions for calibration of your watch (including to reset all calibration data) are available via the link below. Estimates of the results will also depend on your personal information. To verify that this is correct - and update over time:

    • On your iPhone, in the application of the watch, go to: My Watch tab > health > edit - tap and adjust the settings, then press on in fact.

    Hello

It is not currently possible to review the data the application integrated in activity or training on this basis. If you want Apple to consider adding this feature, you can suggest here:

    https://www.Apple.com/feedback/watch.html

However, health and fitness data from other sources, iPhone, and Apple Watch are registered and grouped within the health on iPhone app. These data can be exported, which you may find useful to track the cumulative progress and/or analyze your activity more in detail.

IPhone app activity also has a button for sharing (top right of the screen) that allows to share data - including social media, Messages, Mail, Notes, and a printer.

Include third-party applications that can be useful, for example:

    Access to QS

-"Access your HealthKit data in a table so you can Explorer using numbers, Excel, R, or any other tool compatible CSV."

    SpectaRun workouts

-"View from the workouts of your Apple Watch on your iPhone and to export these workouts so you can download them to your favorite online running community."

Data can also be exported directly from the application of the health (Health Data > All - Share at the top button on the right).

Check the descriptions and support resources for third party applications for supported details of import and data analysis features.

  • Active calories burned after upgrade of the phone

I have recently updated from an iPhone to an iPhone 5 6. I have not matched my Apple Watch from my old iPhone and paired with a new one. Everything seems to work fine except the assets calories on workout sessions. The number of calories burned is about half of what they were before I changed phones. Someone else had this problem?  Thank you.

HI - try the following steps:

    • Check that your personal information is accurate:
      • On your iPhone, in the application of the watch, go to: My Watch (tab) > health > check and, if necessary, change your date of birth, sex, height and weight.
    • Restart your iPhone and your watch. Close the two devices together, and then restart your iPhone first:
      • To turn off your watch: press and hold the button side until you see the cursor off the power; slide it to turn off;
      • To turn it on: press and hold the side button until you see the Apple logo.
    • While training, to optimize the performance of the heart rate sensor (data from which is used when estimating calories), make sure you wear your watch fits on top of your wrist. Apple suggests that consider you the clamping Strip before starting a workout and it loosen again thereafter.

If the problem persists, it may also help to reset your calibration data and start over:

-On your iPhone, in the application of Eve, go to: My Watch (tab) > privacy > Motion & Fitness > tap reset Calibration data.

To calibrate again, follow the instructions in the article to support below, including:

-Records training outdoor walk and/or run in the open air with the application of the workout on your watch.

-It for 20 minutes at each speed to during which normally walk you or run.

-While doing so, take your iPhone with you, with location-based Services market.

-Allow your arms swinging naturally during the workouts (and also later, by walking or running workouts).

  • Total number of calories burned per day?

(Or may) the Apple Watch record total calories burned per day, including not only periods of activity but calories approximately during rest periods? Or is it just them count during training? I am currently using my Apple Watch with a heart rate sensor Polar Bluetooth H7 and would get an estimated number of total calories burned each day compared to my food intake. Y at - it another app, I would need? If so, what would be the most simple for this specific purpose?

    Don't count during training.

"and I would get an estimated number of total calories burned each day compared to my food intake."

No Apple Watch app that can do it.

  • You can use the activity tracker and an application running at the same time?

I've been running just with my watch and the Apple activity tracker.

But I wanted to calibrate so tonight I ran with my iPhone, too.

I tried to use the Nike + and the PPP of activity both starting on my watch. I ran with the application of the activity on the screen.

When I did I stopped the activity app and went to the Nike + app, but it was stopped.

Then can you run the application of activity and a different running application at the same time. Or do you need to start another app on your phone and activity on your watch?

    Thank you all

    Hello

To save your route at the same time apps, save the workout using the application of the workout on your Apple Watch (early check it there first) and also through the application of Nike + running on your iPhone.

Monitoring of your training via the integrated application of the watch workout will cause your heart rate to be monitored at all times for the duration of your workout.

The app Nike + running cannot currently access heart rate monitor watch directly, but if I read the heart rate data of the health on the iPhone app, it will always be able to access - indirectly - the same heart rate for your exercise data:

-On your iPhone, in the application of health, press Sources (tab) > Running > turn on Allow 'Running' to read heart rate data.

  • my activity tracker is incorrect

How can I fix the activity tracker?  I went for a brisk 71 min yesterday and updated on the tracker section registered only 29 min?

    Hello

Every minute movement equaling or exceeding the intensity of a brisk walk taken into account in your daily objectives of the exercise and move.

If you take your iPhone with you and save your market as a workout through the app drive, data GPS allows you to estimate your distance and pace. Otherwise, it is important that your arms swing naturally as you walk or run, because the watch relies on the movement of arms (identified through the built-in accelerometer) to follow the movement.

Calibrate your watch will allow him to estimate more precisely various fitness and results related to the activity (by teaching how your arm movements relate to "Stride" lengths at different speeds).

Exercise and other estimates also depend on your personal information. To verify that it was entered correctly and update over time:

-On your iPhone, in the application of Eve, go to: My Watch (tab) > health > edit (top-right).

  • Calories burned during the workout

    Hello

I don't really know how to track the number of calories I burn during the workout. I especially body attack and body fights but I don't know which drive to choose the app to training in order to have a better representation of the calories. What do you use?

    Hello

Choose the type of activity that better reflects the nature of your business to exercise for any given fiscal year.

If no other options are similar, choose another.

When you use others, Apple Watch active calorie estimate is based on data from the heart rate sensor.
