  I've recently updated to 5.7 Lightroom on my PC and also use Phototshop CS5.1. When I use LR and then try to use the mount option CS5.1 I get the error message saying that I had to upgrade to Camera Raw plugin version 8.7. I can't find any way to do this, as says that plugin Photoshop is already up to date. Help!

  It's just not possible to upgrade to ACR 8.7 PS CS5 can only use up to ACR 6.x.

  If you send raw files Lightroom 5 PS CS5 to edit further when you see the mismatch warning choose "rendered using Lightroom" If you use the option 'open anyway' ACR version is perhaps not able to deal with all of your changes to Lightroom.

  In addition to the upgrade to photoshop cs6 or by subscribing to the creative cloud, you can probably use Adobe's DNG Converter to convert your nikon D600 naves in best dng, which should then open in photoshop cs.

  You must have the 2.4 for DNG camera to work in photoshop cs raw plugin.

  I downloaded Camera RAW 5.6 plugin following the instructions for use with a Canon EOS Rebel xTi.  The file downloaded and was glued in the appropriate folder (C:\Program Files (x 86) \Common Files\Adobe\Plug - Ins\Elements 8\File Formats\). And when the RAW file does not open yet I downloaded Camera RAW 6.2 plug-in and stuck in the same folder as above. When I could not access the plug-in Photoshop elements 8.0, I tried help-updates to date. I can not even access or open RAW files. How can I solve this problem?

  PSE8 is a 32-bit program.

  You must have downloaded the plug-in for CS5.

  Remove the 64-bit file and start using the link I gave.

• Where install Camera Raw plugin

  The strangest thing happened to me.  I solved it, but I hope someone can provide me with an explanation:

  1) I downloaded the latest camera Raw Plugin for CS3 and followed the installation instructions at http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=3893. 

  (2) I still couldn't open my bridge .dng files because I was still getting the message that I have the good for CS3 camera Raw Plugin.

  (3) then, I did a search for all the Plugins of camera Raw on my computer and found one located in the Applications/Adobe Photoshop CS3/Plug-Ins.

  (4) so, I replaced the Camera Raw Plugin I found in/Applications/Adobe Photoshop CS3 / Plug - Ins with the news that I had downloaded from Adobe and previously placed in/Library/Application Support / Adobe / Plug - Ins / CS3 / File Formats as I had been instructed.

  (5) it worked, and now I can open my bridge .dng files in Photoshop.  Why the gap between what I was instructed to do and what actually seems to work?

  Note that it is your LEVEL ROOT library, NOT your user library.

  This is the correct location ONLY for plug in Camera Raw.  If you should have any part of any such other ankle-in camera in your configuration [CS3].

  CR 6.7 is the last version compatible with ps cs5.

  You can use the free dng converter stand-alone or upgrade your ps.

  The Action requires that Camera Raw as a filter (in the menu Filter) which is only available with the versions of Photoshop Cloud (CC).

  As explained in your other thread, Camera Raw is available as a plug-in for CS6 only so that you can open Raw files and edit. Camera Raw takes place automatically as soon as you try one open a Raw file.

  In CC, Camera Raw is also available as a filter (in the menu filter in Photoshop) - who depend on this Action. It won't work in CS6 because Camera Raw is not available as a filter in CS6.

  In other words, the Action is not compatible with the CS6. It only works with CC.

  I hope there, can someone help me with a Lightroom/Photoshop small but annoying issue.  (I saw a similar post on the subject here, but it was for an earlier version of Photoshop Camera Raw and the answers did not help me).

  Whenever I choose to edit in > Photoshop in Lightroom to edit a file I get the message error "this version of Lightroom may require plug-ins verson Raw Photoshop Camera 9.3 for full compatibility.  Now, I know that I can get Lightroom to make the file or hit continue and that he either will get the job done.  But I want to the difficulty of what is the cause.  I'm on a Mac OSX Yosemite 10.10.5, I have Lightroom 6.3 (known as camera Raw 9.3 in the section about Lightroom) and I use Photoshop CS6 13.0.6 x 64.  I tried to click on help > update in Lightroom and Photoshop, but this has not solved the problem.  I tried following the instructions on the Adobe Web site to manually update the Camera Raw plugin that is supposed to be located at (from memory) (root folder) library > Application Support > Adobe > Plugins, but I don't have a Plugins folder (and yes I'm looking in the library under the root folder (, not under my user name).

  Camera Raw 9.1.1 is the LATEST version which is compatible with Photoshop CS6.  You will not be able to update to 9.3.  In addition, Lightroom now up to version 6.6.  See the note in this article

  There is no download for Camera Raw 7.1 for CS5 because CS5 is not compatible with Camera Raw 7.1 and never will be.

  Thus, impossible to open the Raw files of the D3200 in CS5.

  3. Free option: download the Adobe DNG converter, convert all the D3200 Raw files to DNG format, and then open the DNG in CS5
