Camera rear access to the Playbook by AIR

Hello

I created an application that uses a camera by camera. getCamera() but I am able to access only the front camera. Please help me to access the place to the rear camera to capture images.

Thank you

Monika

Hello.

Inorder to get the camera back, you can try this,

var cam:Camera = Camera.getCamera("1");

//getCamera("0") will fetch the front camera
//getCamera("1") will fetch the rear camera

  • Problems of huge performance with the list of scrolling on the Playbook (especially Air applications)

    Hello

It is more of a general question but also for the development of Air for the Playbook and other devices BB10.

My Playbook has huge performance problems when it comes to scrolling lists.

And this problem exists with almost all applications (not the ones that I have developed).

For example, take a look at the app NTV - such its bad, its almost unusable because it's so late when scrolling lists.

I don't know how this app was developed, but I guess it's Webworks or Air.

You can see this delay also in the official app of Facebook: it's the same poor performance when it comes to scrolling.

I guess this Facebook app is also WebWorks or Air.

So Air or usable at all WebWorks?

This performance is not fun, and it has no sense to develop applications with this platforms if these performance issues are of type platform.

Now, my question is - is it true that the only platform that "really works at all" (about performance) is the native "platform"?

Or is it a problem in the current version of the Playbook OS?

Else you have noticed that this operation met during the scrolling of lists?

    Thank you

    Bullety

It's a question AIR, specifically made software. All of the applications you listed are AIR. Try something like Scrapbook, and you see things how smooth can be (waterfalls).

I saw not the same problems when using WebWorks with Sencha Touch. It is also quite possible to make things smooth in the NDK with waterfalls, but it's only for BB10 (for developers non - RIM). So cannot use it PB BB10 release (end of 2012).

I also note that the new fuse QNX user interface components are much smoother than conventional QNX UI components. If you use make sure you air that you use.

  • Needed help with operations IO file on the playbook with the air.

I'm working on this playbook app where I can download a file (a zip file) from a site and then open it on the playbook. Before starting my work on this I learned Adobe air and created the same on this, because I heard that the playbook supports Air.

So can we create air objects on the playbook, for example
    var file is new air. File (Path);

Then the getDirectoryListing(), resolvePath(), it is usable on the playbook since an api for file on the playbook IO operations, I guess that has not been developed.
    Thank you.

    You want to

    flash.filesystem import. *;

so to find a way, there

    var dataFile:File = File.applicationStorageDirectory.resolvePath ("yourData.File");

  • Access to the camera - work air player not on the Playbook

Good day everyone. I use the following code to take a snapshot of the webcam and then save it with a button. It works when I run the app in the AIR drive, but on the Playbook is not access to the camera, nothing appears.

    http://ns.adobe.com/mxml/2009"
            xmlns:mx="library://ns.adobe.com/flex/mx"
            xmlns:s="library://ns.adobe.com/flex/spark"
            actionBarVisible="false"  creationComplete="init()" overlayControls="false"
            tabBarVisible="false">

Don't forget, you must add the permissions for it in your blackberry file - tablet.xml.

        use_camera

It should invite you at the launch of the application to allow the authorization to the camera. You can also add:

        access_shared

  • AIR for iOS--access to the micro headphones

    iPad (3)

    iOS 6.1.3

    AIR 2.4

I am trying to listen to the audio from a microphone attached via the headphone jack but AIR does not seem to recognize it?

    When I trace to debug = > Microphone.names all I get is 'iOSMicrophone '.

I tried to force a second microphone but just came with errors (legitimately if)

When I loop back the microphone audio DEFAULT is just the embedded mic.

I use a RockIt to attach a laptop headphone output to the min in.

I know - output headphone and line are not the same thing.  But this doesn't seem to be the problem (again).  I don't have access to the headset.

    Any ideas?

    Thank you!

Could you please try updating your version of AIR on the latest AIR SDK 3.7 available at http://www.adobe.com/devnet/air/air-sdk-download.html.

    Hello

Delete the apps that you have problems with then download again.

Open the app, then it should be on the access to the camera.

    See you soon

  • iPhone 5 s - no access to the camera to lock screen

    iPhone 5, iOS 8.4.1

Don't try to drag the icon of the lock screen camera to take a picture - the gliding camera icon, but I left with just the display of the home screen - access no camera.

Camera works fine when the code lock is entered and access camera... just no access to the camera of the lock screen.

Another day, another Apple irritation ;-)

No way I'll close iOS9 don't please so no opinion suggesting.

    Hi mariotheplumber

Try quitting applications: Double click on the Home button and the sliding of the application for each open application preview page

    then

Force reboot: press and hold the sleep/wake and Home buttons and do not let go until the screen darkens and the Apple logo appears (no data is lost)

  • Access to the eccentric camera and GPS problem

I love this phone and use it for a few weeks now. I know that the update just worked for T-mobile, and the biggest problem he treats is the camera. My question is if anyone knows if this update fixes other issues?

One of them is how he takes the X bike to pin point its location. I know that most of the Android phones are simply not very fast when it comes to this, but this phone takes more time than many other phones I've used (most recently a HTC One).

Another problem is, like many of us, I take lots of photos, and access to the camera can be tricky. I like to review my photos before I quit the application. Later if I want to go in the camera app, it brings me to the last image I tested, instead of the camera. Very well, but when I swipe to the left to reach the camera, he leaves the app. Also the camera icon on the bar above the image is missing, so I can't easily access the camera.

Is the application gallary your default program for image manipulation? This happened to me when I made the default handler quickpic.

  • Access to the camera connects but no Movie Uploader

I have a Canon HF R42 camcorder with the latest firmware installed.  I used Pixela Camera access more to control the R42 and my cradle of pan CT - V1.

To do this I have selected remote control + Streaming then monitor at home and connected successfully with the SSID and password.

My problem is that the Uploader of movie of Pixela does not see the camera.

I tried to connect as the access to the camera is running, and I also tried after my iPad v2 cyclical supply and connecting with the WiFi connection provided by the camcorder.

    What I am doing wrong?

Thank you in advance for your help!

    Brian

Found the answer to my question, and I want that it has documented a little better.

Film-Uploader works great – once you change the status of the camcorder to the "file" to "playback".

I'll admit it makes sense this way, but I want an intro 1-screen which could be disabled by Uploader of movie that pointed out it wasn't there.  Well!

  • To access the PlayBook PIN / UDID

    Hello

Is it possible to access unique information on the PlayBook, such as his PIN code, via the WebWorks SDK?

    Thank you.

This feature has been released with the WebWorks SDK for Tablet OS v2.1

    Details of the API here:

  • Access to the camera of the JSR-135 after standby on 8520

    Hello world

I have an application that uses the JSR-135 to access the camera on a 8520. The code I use is correct (quite similar to the the here: http://docs.blackberry.com/en/developers/deliverables/17968/Take_a_picture_in_a_BB_device_app_122820... ) and it works most of the time.

But sometimes, when I try to access the camera after that the phone is in standby mode, no image is displayed on the screen and getSnapshot() returns no image data. It turns out that this also happens with the native camera application (the user interface is there, but no camera picture), except that the native camera app finally gets the image of the camera (it can take from 1 second to 5 or more). Once the native camera app becomes the camera image, this also works in my MIDlet.

I can't use the camera application native from my app needs a user interface customized for the screen where the snapshot is taken. I tried to call and close the camera application before showing my screen in the MIDlet, but it is not very pretty and I have to wait an arbitrary amount of time (which may or may not be sufficient to return to the screen), or try taking snapshots with the application native camera up to what he was able to know that the camera is available that is not very satisfactory.

Prevent sleep mode is not an option since my request is supposed to be running for a whole day.

Is this a known bug? Is this a hardware bug of my device? Y at - there a better solution?

    The device information:
    8520 with OS v5.0.0.592 (Platform 5.2.0.64)
    no update available

Looks like she could be related to the hardware problem described here I'll have to test it a little more, but by pushing the lens seems to have solved the problem.

  • Access to files on the playbook

My apologies for the simple question; I dug around the documentation but can't find a clear answer.

I want to copy some files (via usb) on the playbook, lets say, I copy a directory myinfo in the top-level folder of my playbook from a PC, the file contains:

    • a txt file
    • a jpg file
    • and an mp3 file

From an application written using the native SDK, I see the directory 3 files it contains? or can I only access mp3 files via a shared directory / music (so lose all the info on the book and does not see the other 2 files with it)

    Thank you very much

It and surrounding the docs should answer many of your questions: https://developer.blackberry.com/native/documentation/com.qnx.doc.native_sdk.devguide/com.qnx.doc.na...

You mention "top-level folder", but notes that no application can write either in the folder root (i.e. /) nor can they write to the top-level folder.  They can only write to their own. / file data or with specified permission (access_shared) for the subfolders of shared /.

But to answer the specific question, with the specified access_shared, your application can certainly access all files under shared, even if they are music which are written out of the shared directory files / music.  You could say most of these records are to be used for various system, but a given application can do something different, if she wants to.  In some cases that may mean giving some features of the system, but no doubt it is a choice, you'd do a base case once you understand the system better.

  • some fundamental issues for air on the playbook

    Hello

some basic questions that I couldn't easily find the answers to:

    (1) the application of air for the playbook should be a project mobile flex?

    (2) are supported for the flex charts playbook or not?

    (3) the main file must be a file of .as actionscript under the getting started guide, or can it be a mxml file?

use an application windowed right now and it works fine, so I don't know what the benefits or disadvantages or stipulations are around that.

    Cheers!

In response to #1, the QNX are 'similar' to the regular controls Flex/Air, but they are not very mature and behavior didn't is not a wait sometimes if you have developed in Flex for a number of years.  If you are newer to Flex, you probably don't know the difference.  It's still a version beta API, so either the API:

    (1) not implemented

    (2) not fully implemented

    (3) not implemented as planned

    (4) odd API approach or architecture (odd = not Flex like)

That said, a cunning person can get a very good app using AS and controls QNX.  Just be prepared to work around some problems.  If your application is simple enough (not too many controls), so it's not too bad.  But you will find you scratch your head and ask "why in the heck did do that?

I can tell you one thing, if this forum was not so active, I think there would be much less ready applications for PB.

    Good luck.
