  You can only locate, lock or wipe your device when it is connected to iCloud and "Find my phone" is enabled, in addition the unit must be turned on and connected to a cellular network or wifi.

  If you have BBM v7 or newer contacts BBM are saved with your BlackBerry ID and you need only memory in BBM with your new device. If you have a v6 or older then they would be stored in your backup with Desktop software.

  It is not possible for anyone to enter your iCloud and turn it off unless you have your password Apple ID. It is possible that they sent you a phishing email that looked like it came from Apple in order to trick you into clicking on a link in the email which redirects you to a site that looks like Apple. If you have done that and entered your password, so that they would have it. The two following links may be useful:

  If you have > 5 GB of content at each synchronization, or backup to iCloud, you will need more than the plan of free base.

  Put the photos of settings in iCloud on your phone and that the synchronization stops. You need to store copies of your photos elsewhere as well to be sure not to lose anything if your phone is lost, stolen or simply breaks down.

  A couple of weeks, someone stole the 6s nine of my wife.

  She tried to follow a few moments later, but the phone was already off.

  Since then, the phone was not online more. It has been marked as lost or stolen and the police were informed.

  The day before yesterday that I got 2 fake SMS messages. They looked on first sight like messages from Apple.

  The text is so similar to Apple: iPhone has been located to... Please login to iCloud with your credentials.

  There was also a web link in the two messages:

  Because of this strange link and bad German grammar, I know that this may not be a site of Apple.

  Checked with a PC via the VPN tunnel, but I typed the link just to the ".at".

  The site looked exactly like an Apple site and all links open the true Apple of the Romania site.

  I did not sign in and in the meantime, the site is unavailable. Maybe Apple is involved because I noticed them about the phishing attack.

  My question is:

  Someone knows my cell phone number and the name of my wives ICloud ID. How is that possible?

  As to how they knew that the Apple ID, they try to disable find my iPhone. When they go to the iCloud menu in the settings, the Apple ID is listed there. They sent you this message to try to get your password so it could disable find my iPhone lock Activation.

  Wow... I can't believe that the police are not interested to help you find the source of the messages. If we tell them that the phone number, it should be very easy for them to track its origin.
