Can a computer with XP send something printed on a computer that is running Windows 7, and if so, how do we
I have a network with two computers, one with XP with Windows 7. I can't seem to print something on the XP machine and then send it to the Windows 7 machine to print... I tried the sharing Wizard, but it will not print to the machine 7.

towelsrawesome,
Thanks for posting on the Microsoft answers Forum. The first thing I would say is to remove all external devices from your PC (except the mouse and keyboard) and then restart. If she does not always correctly, then try to start safe mode. Here is a link that explains the Safe Mode and how to start to it: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/315222Post back with the results of these measures. Also, let us know if something has changed recently on your system (hardware or software) and give us some details about your system. Let us know the make\model of pc and which package XP version\service you use. Mike - Engineer Support Microsoft Answers

I want to restore my hp desktop computer that is running windows vista edition Home premium
I want to restore my hp desktop computer that is running windows vista edition Home premium, but I don't have the cd and when I try it files through the windows there not a correct restore date. can someone help me?
Hello
You're confused system recovery and system restore.
System Restore makes the settings from your computer to an earlier date; It will not reinstall the operating system.
System recovery reinstalls the operating system how much you bought your machine; as for the new State.
"Recover Windows Vista operating system using HP Recovery"
http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/document?DocName=c00809678&LC=en&DLC=en&cc=us&product=18703
You can reinstall by the HP Recovery Manager if your computer is still running or by pressing F11 at startup.
You can also make your own recovery discs.
All these information are the included HP link.
For the HP Recovery Manager.
The backup and HP Recovery Manager on HP Pavilion and Compaq Presario computers is a versatile, easy to use application that allows you to:See you soon.

CS5 does not work on the new computer that is running Windows 7
I initially installed my CS5 on a computer running Windows Vista and it worked great. I just got a new computer that is running Windows 7, installed my Adobe Photoshop Elements & CS5 on it, but now it is not working properly. When I click on the triangle to the right at the bottom of any tool, it does not to show the various tools as before. Does anyone else have this problem? If so, how to solve it? Thanks in advance for any help you can give!
There are two ways to access the tools hidden in your toolbar in Photoshop:
- Press and hold down the mouse button on a tool that has hidden tools behind it and a window will appear to the right of you show the other available tools.
- ALT-click Windows or Option, click on a Mac on a tool to jump out the window that shows the hidden tools available.

Lexmark z605 printer does not work with the new computer that is running windows 7
I plugged my z605 printer (which I had already used quite happy with Windows XP) on my new PC (running Windows 7 64 bit) via a USB port but it failed to install properly, saying: he could not find the driver.
Action Center directed me to the Lexmark Web site, where he says to download the Vista driver, I did. CjrZ500 - Z600EN.exe downloaded according to the guidelines, but it still does not solve the problem.
I tried to manually point to C:\drivers\printers (which is where the Lexmark program appears to have put it), but received a message "Windows found driver software for your device, but has encountered a problem trying to install it." Lexmark Z500 - Z600 Series, the system cannot find the specified file"
Problem solved. Although the site says that the driver Vista and 64-bit Vista driver were both called cjrZ500 - Z600EN.exe, in fact, select the 64-bit driver download cjsZ500 - Z600EN.exe, that worked!

My drive has been created using a windows xp windows live care and my new computer works with windows 7. How can I get information on the new computer. When I tried to download the software of microsoft it would allow me to do. Any ideas?
Hi Dorene33,
· What exactly happens when you try to download the software?
· You receive an error message?
· You are able to access drive from devices and printers?
· What happens exactly when you double click on the drive and try to open it?
I suggest that you scan your computer with the Microsoft Security Scanner, which would help us to get rid of viruses, spyware and other malware
The Microsoft Security Scanner is a downloadable security tool for free which allows analysis at the application and helps remove viruses, spyware and other malware. It works with your current antivirus software.
http://www.Microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx
Note: The Microsoft Safety Scanner ends 10 days after being downloaded. To restart a scan with the latest definitions of anti-malware, download and run the Microsoft Safety Scanner again.
Important: While running scan on the hard drive if bad sectors are found on the hard drive when scanning try to repair this area if all available on which data may be lost.
Hope this information helps.

We have a Windows Server 2008 R2 with Sp1. There was the same exact problem in Windows Server 2008 (KB958596).
When you use RDP or ICA (Citrix XenApp 6), smart card login prompt at random does not appear. When we close the RDP or ICA and make a new session of the guest of the smart card is here.
Where can we get a fix, or a reg fix?
Hotfix for Windows Server 2008 below...
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/958596
In this scenario, users are unable to connect with their card chip and instead, he is invited for their usernames and passwords. If users don't provide these details, the Terminal Services session times out and disconnects.
When this problem occurs, the option of smart card logon does not appear in the Terminal Services session. Users cannot connect by using their secret codes, and they must provide a user name and password. The option of smart card logon working again after that that they reconnect to the Terminal Services session one or more times

I use the latest version of Lightroom (5.5) and when I try to set up new user export presets, Lightroom keeps default 'e-mail' instead of 'hard drive '. I am using Microsoft Outlook. I just want to export small files in a folder on my hard drive to upload on a photography website that I belong to but Lightroom wants to email them instead. I can't understand this strange behavior and why it does not work as it is supposed to. I don't know if it's a problem of lightroom, an OS problem or a problem with Microsoft Outlook. Thanks in advance.
I had the same problem and I solved it by choosing post-processing-> after export-> Do nothing, instead of just leave it blank. It will be useful.

How to set up two monitors with screen LCD and HDTV on computer that is running Windows 7
Issues of identity and position monitor
I use a LCD and an HD TV on my computer. I have HDTV mounted to my left on the wall in my room and the LCD is on my desk in front of me. I have my monitor set as my main screen and HDTV as secondary. Windows identifies the HDTV as monitor 1 and my screen LCD 2. After starting the computer they work very well as they should. My problem is during the boot process. When the computer starts, it displays only the boot screen/POST on monitor 1 (HDTV) but not my main screen #2 (LCD). This is a problem when I don't have my HDTV now, I don't see the MESSAGE options. I don't want to always have my HDTV and crane my neck every time I need to change the BIOS settings or use the MESSAGE options. Is there any solution for this?

DCLCD 19 "VGA monitor
VIZIO HDTV 32 '' (hdmi) "
Hi Darth Polizei,
I hope that's not redundant but did you try to set your monitor 19 "as the main display?
- In the screen resolution window, you click the icon of the monitor that represents the secondary monitor.
- You click to select the "Make my main screen" check box, and then click OK.
- You log out of the computer.
- You log on to the computer.
Please let us know.
Thank you!
