Can an account username and password be added manually?

Using Yahoo email, Firefox seems to ask when a password and a new is typed in. Even when you add a new Yahoo email account, Firefox would not save the user name and password. Other sites still ask to register names of access and password, so this must be a Yahoo-specific change. (I use Firefox Version 23; This situation is also the same with Internet Explorer Version 10.0.920.16635)

I followed the instructions on Firefox to troubleshoot extensions, themes, and issues of hardware acceleration. This does not solve this problem. Again, I think it's a change with the Yahoo tech screwing things up again.

In light of the above, manually add a user name and password for Firefox? Or maybe is there an add-on for Firefox that will allow for this?

If this is not the case, this option may be considered for future updates of Firefox? Thank you.

Hi HCM911, if you create a master password (and logout when finished) then your password cannot be viewed by others without knowing your master password. More information about this option:
