  • How can I add a color texture to a shape?

    Hi people,

I'm still pretty new to illustrator.  I followed this tutorial:

Illustrator Tutorial: Adding texture with a transparency mask - YouTube

I am trying to add a texture metal .jpeg rusted at a speed I made in illustrator (which is imported into After Effects).  When I do the tutorial above, I get a black and white texture version.  How can I get a color version - I need to do something different of transparency?  Thank you very much!

Looks like the tutorial showing how to use a transparency mask. A transparency mask is always black, white and shades of gray. If your equipment has a fill color, using the opacity mask will give you different shades of this fill color, according to the lights and shadows of the mask itself.

It sounds like what you really want is a clipping mask. You need the shape of the craft and a texture that you want to use for DS:

Put the train on top of the texture.

Select the texture and the train.

The Choose object > Clipping Path > make.

  • How can I add Pantone color books Illustrator CC?

I'm used to using the Pantone Process color book in illustrator, but is absent from my CC of Illustrator. How can I add? I got it to work, so I guess it's a book of standard color, because my work never paid for something more. I see I have a coated CMYK + Pantone color book, but the names of the witnesses differ from Pantone Solid color book process that I'm used.

Oh. then you ask for old pantone books?

    Here you go

    Dropbox - pantones.zip

Let me know when you have it because I want to delete it.

  • Thunderbird: How can I add "text color" option on the toolbar?

I have the "Star" button on my toolbar, but not "text color" and have been unable to find a way to add it. I can't drag and drop. I use it a lot and it's embarrassing to go 'format' every time.

You need to write by using HTML, but I think you have to be if you are able to get the color of the text via the menu.

Send an HTML message. In the entry window menu, view | Toolbars and make sure the bar formatting is checked.

No menu? Hold down the ALT key and press v.

To get the Adobe InDesign CC 2014 color themes Panel, you need to be updated in October 2014 or 2015 February releases. The current version is 10.2.0.69 If you look at slot about InDesign.

Once you have updated to the correct version of InDesign, choose window > color > color Adobe themes. The Panel will connect on the site of Adobe color. Click on My Themes look at the themes that you saved. Click Actions > add to the Swatches palette to download themes for InDesign.

  • How can I add em/en spaces in text?

I am working on a quick reference guide that will be screen printed on a metal Panel and I would like to use an em or in space at some points in the text.  For the life of me I can't understand how to accomplish this in AI CS4.  Any advice or at least an alternative if this isn't an option?

    Thank you

UM: select space. copy: then / edit / find and replace: paste into search and click the icon of a character special inserts (blue arrow), select em space, click ok.  You can then copy the em and paste it where you want...

don't know why Illy has not yet a function "insert a blank click right.

Always backup your virtual machines if you are not sure

For me, because I am familiar with the disk partitioning, I would just to repartition the disk.  Depends on your comfort level.  method 1 is the "safest".

I use upstream, that allowed color spaces are CMYK. When I place a RGB file, preflight reports an error (very good). But when I add the Fx (effect) does not forward flight "Bevel and Emboss", report an error, which is really annoying. How can I fix? I like to have 'The transparency blend space' on "Document CMYK" and in the preflight profile "Fusion of transparent space" required: "CMYK".

Interestingly, if I copy and paste your images into a new doc 2 points scored.

I think that the solution is to assign the CMYK printer profile in the document. In this case, you no longer control upstream for RGB color, because by default it is converted to CMYK space correct on export or print output.

  • How can I change the color of the spaces between the buttons of menu

    Hello

I have problems by changing the color of the spaces between the menu buttons.

The spaces between the color buttons lighter must be the same color as the buttons.

Please note that some buttons are voluntarily lighter, some are darker.

    Help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you.

Select the Menu container. Open the control panel of the spacing. The horizontal gutter value 0.

You can always add padding for menu items to create extra space.

  • Find the Document color space & find samples that contain the content of the text block.

    Hello world

I tried to figure this out for the last three days. I've tried everything I can think and search all over the internet (GitHub, Forums, etc.). I'm not a javascript Wizard, and certainly a Newb Extendscript.

Try to determine the color space of the document. Last attempt was...

    alert(theDoc.properties.ColorSpace);

    Reminder on this:

I have a datamerge which creates the attached fields from a CSV file. It is an internal reference to a color code. I am able to test cycle using the for loop an enter the color code. But I can't seem to find a way to seek the shades. One thought was to put in a table and sift through them. The color code provided is not swatch set name that makes things interesting. For example, name is 2297R - 19995, where 2297r is the color code for the text frame. Possible?

  • In the toolbar, I click on the face of color and see the view from the RGB color space. How can I put them in CMYK?

In the toolbar on the left, click on the face of color and see the view from the RGB color space. How can I put them in CMYK?

    German:

In der Werkzeugleiste klicke auf Farbflache und den RGB-Farbraumansicht sehe ich. Stelle wie ich sharp in CMYK um?

Color picker, if that's what you mean (it opens if you double-click the color proxy) is still in RGB in InDesign, but if you place the cursor in one of the fields of CMYK value, add swatch button will change to add CMYK Swatch.

Personally, I like the color picker and use the color Panel instead.

  • Tags of the color space can be identified in Lightroom 3?

I'm looking for an easy way to check if a color space tag is associated with a specific (for example an imported JPEG) images in the library Module.  Anyone know?  I can't seem to find a line that in the view of metadata.

LR does not show this information, he correctly interprets an ICC profile embedded import, but therefore the photo is in internal LR color space.

Use a third-party utility (ExifTool, etc.) to search for the color space tag and/or the embedded ICC profile.
