You cannot burn Blu - Ray discs with a DVD burner. You will need to get an external Blu - ray drive, get a shop to buy a laptop with a blu - ray player or put a new Blu - ray player on your laptop.

It is possible that the DVD + RW rewritable is the problem.
Some hardware is not fully compatible with them.

Personally, I did not have much success with DVD rewritable.
Verbatim DVD-R DVD have been reliable for me.

When I need a copy of a home made DVD I create an ISO

First... just a suggestion... using a slow burn speed

The freeware ImgBurn can create an ISO Image

    Hello

I have problems with CD burning on my computer satellite phone. Had the laptop for a few months and have had no problems. However only found an extra software with the DVD drivers CD so downloaded it - big mistake!

I had to restore in settings a few weeks that I could not delete the programs. That s all is well now, but since I was unable to burn CDs in Windows Media Player. I click on "burn" and nothing happens, and the right side says CD has nothing on the subject (it s a blank CD).
All tried and checked my settings, etc, can't think of what it could be.

Does anyone have any suggestions? I would be grateful for any help.

I use windows vista, and until very recently, I had no problem with windows movie maker.  But during the past year, whenever I try to burn a dvd, it burns at about 40 percent or more and then all of a sudden, it will say 'cannot complete the dvd, 'unknown error'.  Are there any suggestions as to why this might be happening?

    Hello whalelover,.

You can try the problems Troubleshooting Microsoft listed here for problems with burning CD/DVDs .
There is an automatic FIXIT who will scan your computer and fix problems that he sees.

If this does not help, it may be a problem of encoding and you don't have the correct Codec to hole in Movie Maker.

  • Can we recover Windows with a laptop purchase product key?

    Dear developers,

My sister's laptop had facial recognition of a Lenovo defined as the unique account password. Setting up the computer for her, the computer took note of my face instead of Siena, and therefore she could not find a way to connect. It was completely locked and I was outside the borders of the country, I could not help.

She then helped with an illegal copy of Windows, an excerpt from the developers of windows 8, which was very unstable. The laptop has the sticker for the true of the product key Windows 7 but funny thing is, the key is the only bit of impression that faded. (Maybe Microsoft knew what they were doing, cause win 8 laptops do not come with the product key on the label). I can provide all the information on the laptop, same serial number, the only thing I can provide are the product key.

My reason for writing is to ask if it is possible to recover the Windows 7 installed on his laptop computer by the manufacturer. If so, that the investigation would go to? Microsoft or Lenovo?

Try to use the key recovery option a Lenovo.

  • Can I burn an AVCHD Disc in fcpX with a bluray burner

I'm having trouble sharing a 3 or 24 minutes of video on a BluRay disc and then insert a DVD-R in the bluray burner to burn an AVCHD Disc. fcpX shot of it and said "of the media in the drive cannot be used. " Please insert another disc. ». And Cancel burning is the only option.

I deleted all the files of rendering and a new rendering, rebooted etc.. I think remember me burning AVCHD discs directly from fcpX before, maybe a year ago. Are updates screwed up, or we cannot burn AVCHD discs in fcpx?

Then, with TOAST 10.0.09, when I create a master file as. FcpX h264 and then import to TOAST and burn BluRay disc with a DVD-R in it, TOAST now move to it also, saying there is a problem with the source material, 18771 error.

Fortunately the bluray discs are much cheaper now, right now for purposes of test/video editing, I have to go to the full monty and burn a disc bluray each time to avoid the relentless crash in the process.

FcpX has an innate ability to make AVCHD discs?

    Chris

Yes. But the PCF expects the output of a reader optics red laser (DVD writer), not a blue laser drive. Try using a regular DVD burner for AVCHD.

    Hello

Having too many CD/DVD programs can cause strange problems, especially if they're loading of parts of
themselves at the start because they will be competing for resources. This does not mean that this issue has been
caused by those, however, it's a possibility depending on which and how many you have installed.

You have disk problems as the CD/DVD is actually 4 discs in 1 case (CD & DVD burning and)
Playback of CD and DVD). So it is not unusual for parts from 1 or 2 to not work so that others do
    correctly.

Burning at low speed, or by using the master could help. A CD/DVD cleaner might help.

Brand of the CD or DVD drive can also be the problem. Low quality (cheap brands) are always problematic.

CD/DVDs have a tolerance + - and your can read/write on the edge outside these discs
tolerances. They may be delivered, but it is generally more economical to replace the disk.

Another possibility is that the cables are loose. Remove ALL power, then make sure that the cables in both

Some DVD players do not use the Windows default drivers so check with the manufacturer of system and
