Can I change/update anything in my pc?

Laptop HP Pavilion g6 - 2255ev with Windows 7 Professional
Hi guys... I bought this pc on a year and a half... and I had some serious problems with it... overheating is a problem I've had from the beginning... but the technicals of the store I bought it (kotsovolos A.E.  The Greece) said they have cleaned up... the problem is always the same... anyway... later, after the expiry of the guarantee, which was a year the system turned down... screen black then put in market and fair, sign in to my account... Lately, I think that my graphics card was burned, cause I tried to turn on my laptop, but there is not... the keyboard lights where the cooler was running (not as fast as before) and the screen was not at all. A week later, somehow, I finally turned it on! everything works fine... But I still don't know what to do... I would like to change the cpu and the gpu, but I don't know what to do about these solutions... Please answer a.s.a.p.
the pc had win 8 but I changed to win 7. I don't know if that could help all the... but he was also overheating before even I have change the windows...

Thank you

    Hi Fabrax,

Thanks for posting on the Microsoft answers Forums.

Be you please perform a clean boot on your system to see if that helps to clarify the freezing issue that you are experiencing?

Here are the steps on how to perform a clean boot on your system:

First step: perform a clean boot

    1. sign your computer with an administrator account.

    2. click on start.

    3. type msconfig.exe in the start search box and press ENTER to start the System Configuration utility.

    4. If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click on continue.

    5. in the general tab, click Selective startup, and then click to clear the check box load startup items.

    6. on the Services tab, click to select the skin all the Microsoft services check box, and then click Disable all.

    * NOTE: Following this step lets services Microsoft continue to run. These services include networking, Plug-and-Play, record of events, error reporting, and other services. If you disable these services, you can permanently delete all restore points. Do not do this if you want to use to restore the system with the existing restore points.

    7. click OK and then click on restart.

Second step: enable half the services

    1. start the System Configuration utility. Refer to the steps above if you need to see how to do this.

    2. click on the Services tab and then click to select the skin all the Microsoft services checkbox.

3 click to select half of the check boxes in the Service list.

    4. click OK and then click on restart.

Step 3: determine whether the problem returns

If the problem persists, repeat the first stage and the second stage. In step 2, click to clear half of the check boxes that you have initially enabled in the Service list.

If the problem does not occur, repeat the first stage and the second stage. In the second step, select only half of the remaining check boxes that are cleared in the Service list. Repeat these steps until you have selected all the check boxes.

If only one service is selected in the list of services, and you the problem persists, the service selected the cause of the problem. Go to sixth step. If no service is causing this problem, go to step 4.

Step 4: enable half of the startup items

Perform a clean boot by repeating step 1.

Click the Startup tab, and then click to select half of the check boxes in the startup item list.

Click OK and then click on restart.

Step 5: determine whether the problem returns

If the problem persists, repeat the first step and the fourth step. In step 4, click to clear half of the check boxes that you have originally selected in the startup item list.

If the problem does not occur, repeat the first step and the fourth step. In the fourth step, select only half of the remaining check boxes that are cleared in the startup item list. Repeat these steps until you have selected all the check boxes.

If only one startup item is selected in the startup item list, and you still experience the problem, start selected in the list element is the service that is causing the problem. Go to sixth step.

If no startup item causes this problem, a Microsoft service most likely the cause of the problem. To determine which Microsoft service may be causing the problem, repeat the first stage and the second stage without selecting the skin all the box Microsoft services at every step.

    Step 6: resolve the problem

After you determine the startup item or the service that is causing the problem, contact the manufacturer of the program to determine if the problem can be solved. Or, run the System Configuration utility, and then click to clear the check box of the element of the problem.

    Step 7: solve the problem

When you are finished troubleshooting, follow these steps to reset the computer to start as usual:

    1. click on start

    2. type msconfig.exe in the start search box and press ENTER.

    3. If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click on continue.

    4. on the general tab, click the Normal startup option, and then click OK.

    5. When you are prompted to restart the computer, click on restart.
