Can I copy model Toshiba drive of the SAME recovery dics

My brother has a Toshiba Satellite A200 - 1 M 8, even I (PSAE6E) and I lost my recovery disc.
Can I copy his product Toshiba Recovery disk and use it on my laptop?

I'm sure it's the same system of 32 bit Vista on his record, the laptop even as I.

If not... is it possible to install it without copying the CD and AFTER finishing HIS disk system installation, CHANGE the cd - key of Vista to my original? (series from the bottom of my laptop)

Please help me GET an installation disc, because I can not format and reinstall the system WITHOUT a Vista installation disc.

Every help is appreciated, thank you in advance.

Take care - Andrew Wysokiski.

Hello

Usually, you use the same recovery disk that came with your laptop.

If you brother has the same model of laptop, then you could try to reinstall the OS using this DVD, but I don't very well if it will work because of the DMI info, which is stored on the motherboard of Mr. If DMI doesn t contain the same information that is placed on the recovery disc then installation will not work. But it s worth a try.

However, the recovery DVDs can be ordered here:

Good bye

If the file is always displayed in the Download Manager window, then you can use open folder on the shortcut menu. If this entry is grayed out then the file is no longer at this location to download. Possible causes are cleaning software or anti-virus that deleted the file.

  • Can I have Windows XP Home Edition and Windows XP Pro on two separate drives on the same computer? There will be some activation problems?

Disc XP Home and XP Pro drive on the same computer

I have a HP computer that came loaded with XP Home.  I have to use my hard drive XP Pro for things work related.  The work computer was a lease and discounts.  I tried putting the Pro drive in an envelope and use as external, but some files are not able to access.  Also tried to remove the XP Home computer disc and put the XP Pro drive in its place, but the system unbootable.  Can I leave the House in 'master' player and put the Pro drive as a "slave", or they will be incompatible?

    Thank you!!

You can add the disk with Xp Pro as a slave. You may need to change the jumper settings. However, you cannot take a drive with an operating system that has been installed on another computer and start to the new computer. In 15 years of computer technology I couldn't do it only once and it was with a Vista operating system. However, Windows is designed to not allow that.

The most likely reason that you are denied access to the files on the disk with Pro is that you will need to take ownership of the files.

  • Can no longer access network drive with the Explorer of Windows 7 Pro

Up to what a week ago it worked fine.  After a weekend of not to use the computer, I noticed that my Synology and WD network drives were not under network in Explorer.  I tried to enter the IP address in the address \\10.0.1.36 bar and it says windows cannot access

    Hello

Thanks for choosing Windows and thank you for providing an opportunity to help you.

According to the description provided, you have problems with access to the network drive.

Method 1: perform the steps described here below and see if it helps.

a: Click on Start->Control Panel. Double-click on network and sharing Center.
b: In the left pane, click "change advanced sharing settings.
c: Make sure that "discover the network" is turned on.

Method 2: temporarily disable the Windows Firewall and check.

Turn Windows Firewall on or off (Windows 7)

Warning: Firewall software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your firewall software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your firewall software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

Answer to us if you have problems with access to the road or any other issue of Windows, and we would be happy to help you.

  • Reinstall Windows 7 on a different drive on the same computer - related issue of the license

A license Windows 7 partners question

Can I reinstall Windows 7 on a drive different than where I did the initial installation? I have to cancel registration of the software because the initial installation? If so, how this is done? I have to follow a special procedure for the installation of system 7 on the hot spare?

    The reason for my situation

I decided to upgrade the operating system of my laptop Toshiba Windows XP to Windows 7. As it was my first time, I decided to buy a HDD replacement so that I'd be able to do a clean install of Windows 7 without compromising my data and programs on the old disk. That went well, but the data and previously installed programs that I had used for the years remained in the hard disk which has been deleted.

Now, I would replace the new hard drive (on which I have installed Windows 7) with the original hard disk (which contains Wndows XP and all my data, all my programs). With that done, I would like to perform an installation upgrade of Windows 7 (on Windows XP). In order to make a second installation on another hard drive (but the same work) what I should do to meet the legal installation MS for Windows 7?

    Please let me know.

    Thank you

In addition, there is no installation upgrade to Windows 7 from Windows XP.

Yes, thank you. I missed that he had 'upgrade '.

You must perform a new installation and reinstall your programs.

It's the best thing to do, but the 'must' is too strong a Word. Allow me to
mention the alternative (although I do not recommend to do so): make a
two-step upgrade - first upgrade XP to Vista, and Vista upgrade for
    Windows 7.

I do not recommend because it doubles the risk of problems. But one
while back I've tasted, to check that it worked, and I got lucky
enough to have any resulting problems.

  • How to export pictures from a sd card to lightroom and and external hard drive at the same time

    Hello

Is it possible that I can export my photos from my lightroom cameras sd card and an external hard drive at the same time so I have pictures original/master in both places

    Thanks in advance

    Tracey

    Hi Robert!

Looks like you want to make a backup during import. If this is the case, you can designate a different location for a second copy when importing.

    1. Check the mark a second copy of box in the management of the files Panel and choose your external drive in the menu drop-down
    2. Then you set regular destination of Lightroom in the Destination panel.

However, if you mean that you want in the foreground images in Lightroom, but have them physically located on an external drive, then all you need to do is choose this drive in the Destination panel. Lightroom Catalog can be on a different drive.

I find it useful, however, to use the automatic backup in file management Panel in case.

  • Can I reuse my key msdnna on the same computer

I was a student at community college where I received the key to Windows xp msdnna. I installed this key and the operating system on my laptop. Now my laptop is very slow. I want to reinstall new Xp on the same laptop computer.

question 1 > can I use my same XP key old msdnna that I had used the same laptop a few years back.

Question 2 > yes f, what happens if I intend to buy a new hard drive for more capacity for my laptop even and then I can install xp with the same old msdnna key?

The MSDN AA key is only for a PC each time. Are based on the license that you got you might be able to reinstall it in another PC, but you must make sure format you it. You could install it in your PC even if you wish. However, I suggest to discuss this with your campus or contact Microsoft Support to make sure that you follow the licensing policy in your country.

If you buy a new hard drive in the same laptop you can always reuse your Windows XP product key.

  • Move all other organisers to another drive on the same computor

I would move all the photos in my Organizer to another drive on the same computer to free up space and have all future uploaded images go directly on the same drive.  In other words is it possible to have the program on the operating system drive and photos in the Organizer on a different drive on the same computer.

    Yes.

The new drive can be another internal drive or external.

    Two ways:

    1. move the files by 'drag and drop' in the left panel of "folders". You can move folders (with their subfolders) to another location (another drive or main folder). That works just like drag and drop in Solution Explorer / finder with the difference that the catalogues guard trace the location of the files. that doesn't create files "disconnected".

Tips: you can do so for only a part of the your folder tree or the entire folders tree. Takes it to process on the same time as the drag and drop in Solution Explorer / finder. No dialog box to indicate that the process is running, be patient! For a big move, I would do a full backup before.

2 - the backup and restore process recommended (move Adobe elements Organizer catalog by using the backup and restore |) Photoshop and first Elements 6 or later version) also works at your needs. While it is specifically intended to move to another computer, it works the same for a move to another drive.

I could mention a third way: move the folders from the Explorer / Finder, then immediately run the function 'reconnect', but it is usually much easier and safer to use one of the solutions above.

If your goal is to move all your media files from several readers to a single, backup / restore is the solution. The restoration will put the result on a single master folder with a master subfolder for each former player.

Also, I heard that you are limited to download After Effects on only 2 computers. This rule applies for all older versions of After Effects or it is just limited to CC and CS6?
