Can I create a Multiboot USB from OSX installation?

I use a Mac Pro 2012 environment; run the Mavericks.  I want to create a Multiboot USB OS X installation disc using 1. Mavericks, 2. Yosemite, 3. El Capitan.  Is it possible to download copies separate installation 1. Mavericks, 2. Yosemite, 3. El Capitan?

If and only if you have already purchased the Mavericks and Yosemite, they will be available in the Mac App Store on your page "purchases". Otherwise, they died for you because they are not available for purchase as good as new.

There is no simple solution to combine several installers on a USB key. Install Mac OS X takes and hour or two, it seems not too heavy to simply take ten seconds to move the USB key to the appropriate version, and THEN perform the installation.

Most of the users in your situation spend less than US $100 each and buy several drives external (or internal, if you have a Mac Pro Silver Tower). Then, different versions of Mac OS X can be installed on each drive, and you can pass the boot DISKS and be upward and execution of different Mac OS X within two minutes about.

  • How can I create a bootable USB of OSX Snow Leopard on a MacBook with El Capitan?

HI there, the hard drive failed on my MacBook unibody aluminum end 2008. a couple of years ago, I put in 8 GB of RAM so my thought has been that it is not yet time to entirely replace the MacBook. I replaced the drive HARD failed with a 500 GB compatible hard drive. I tried and failed to install El Calitan via a bootable USB key, because my machine is too old. I just ordered a copy of the Snow Leopard DVD on the Apple store. I wonder how I can install snow leopard on my computer, given that the DVD player on this subject does not? I am able to create a Version bootable USB of Snow Leopard on MacBook for my roommate? He is running to El Capitan. Could someone explain if this is possible and if so, how?

    Thanks in advance!

If his MacBook has a DVD player and 2 computers have the correct wiring, try the target disk Mode.

  • Why can't create shades of color from scratch (not derived from photo)?

    Hey Adobe-ers,

I am a long-time Adobe product user, and I used the tools of color from Kuler. It is disconcerting that the mobile versions of this tool (CC color then its subsequent integration with catch CC) do not seem to give you the means to create shades of color from scratch - instead requiring an input image and picking color points.

It seems obvious that finding inspiring colour combinations of your external environment (and take a picture of them) and derived from the color combination of your imagination, is completely different creative workflow that can the two place to the creation of assets of color. Only the former mode (probably more complex) is supported seems quite bizarre!

I appreciate really new workflows that adobe have aroused, especially on the use of cloud storage to make simple goods to share between machines - but I'd love to have a place to create shades from scratch (in the way of the CC of color web - app) without the workaround of blocking pipeline creative to have to take a picture at random and then change the colors derived from distraction to possibly meet what I had imagined.

PS Apologies in advance integrated;  There is a way to do and there is just something missing me, this has been answered, or if this is not the right place for feature requests etc.

    Hello Stephen,

Thanks for that. No, you do not miss anything. This feature is only in the web version of the application. From time to time, we receive requests, to incorporate it into the app now in the mobile version, you need to capture a theme. Then change it.

I'll leave a note for the team with your comments.

And, just to alleviate any concerns... the right place for your comments is everywhere where it is easier for you to leave. Finally, we see (and try to respond to) everything.

    Thanks again.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones how can I create a new contact from an unknown SMS/text?

Hey.  When I receive an SMS to a number, I don't know how easily I add them as a contact, while in my Inbox, it shows me their names and not their number?  I tried to look on the forums but cannot find an easy solution.  There must be a quick way to do it, no?

    oilersrock99 wrote:

Really?  Because you can easily do it with the curve.  You have to pull up the menu while in the text and select "create a new contact."

    Thanks for the attempt if.

OK, so my OS has been upgraded last night (at v5.0.0.743 v5.0.0.862) and I now have the ability to add SMS numbers as contacts.

So, to add the SMS number as a contact, simply do the following:

In the SMS of the person you want to add, click on the BB button, and then select Add to Contacts. Fill in the details required for the person.

If you do not have this option, then you can upgrade the operating system on your BB. RIM sometimes falls options from version to version of the OS, but return them to the successive versions.

  • Can I create a DVD directly from first (latest version) without using yet?

I am trying to create a DVD and also a DVD BLU - Ray first.  Is it possible without using YET?

I also use Final Cut Pro and you can share directly on a DVD, but the codec options are limited.  I still liked because it allowed me to make the menu screens

and nice looking menus.  I guess those days are gone.  Have you tried ROXIO... There are real problems and the limited menu screen and other programs, nothing better than options

the old man again.    BUT... I can create directly from first?  If so, how?  I'm puzzled.  Don't want Final Cut as the only option.  Some of my clients are really looking for

Sharp, HDV, DVD.  BLU - RAY is fine, but will not play on all computers.  Feeling the two DVD and BLU - Ray are relics.  What will be the new option?  Some customers are OK with

flash drives, but flash drives are easily played on a HD TV.   All solutions?

You can not burn directly to a disc of first, but you can still use the CS6 of still, certainly not safe for Windows version of the latest Mac OS.

  • Create a USB from the recovery CD recovery provided - SOLUTION

You don't have to buy and CD/DVD external for use provided recovery CD. I guess you all have access to a computer with a CD player. Also, you can buy a 2 GB USB flash memory.

Using any other computer with a linux or win OS - insert the CD and create the image of this CD .iso file using any application of CD/DVD writer provided. If you use Ubuntu or linux in general, you can use of Brasero CD/DVD burner. Once in the Brazier, choose Copy CD/DVD and in the drop-down menu, select image file. Brasero will create the .iso image file and save it on your hard drive in GNU as file brasero.iso.

If you prefer to use the terminal / shell to create an iso file enter these commands:

    sudo umount/dev/cdrom

    DD if = of = file.iso / dev/cdrom

Now we have created the image file and is sitting on the hard drive for you. Now we must create a USB bootable from this image. To do this, download Unetbootin from the link below. It is available for linux and win.

Once you have downloaded Unetbootin, you insert the USB memory (it takes 2GB). Launch Unetbootin. Now the option select the second option - iso image and browse to the location of the file on your hard drive and click Open. Below select the usb - slot Linux key something like/dev/sdb1 or/dev/sdc1 - usually it is the name of the drive selected automatically by Unetbootin.

Click on apply or Ok. the bootable USB key will be created in a few minutes. Once it's done insert in your Toshiba NB 100 and press F12 to start the netbook, a menu option will display - select USB device and press ENTER.

Now the machine will start and menu start Unetbootin will show - recovery SELECT, then press enter and follow the instructions - and you'll be all set. No need to spend extra money for an external CD drive.

I tried yesterday and works like magic. Good luck.

  • Is there a download from Microsoft which will create a bootable usb media that does not have the drivers?

Original title: A bootable Windows 7 media

I work on a Lenovo 2-in-1 with Windows 7 (for games) and 10 (for a normal use) Windows to dual-boot. I created a USB stick with Windows 7 Pro (64 bit) of a legitimate Windows 7 Pro disc. The computer starts on the usb device and plays normally, however, one of the steps asks a driver for cd/dvd and this 2-in-1 (Lenovo Flex 3) doesn't have a built-in CD/DVD. All other drivers are located in a folder system. My question is, given my key Windows 7 can I create a new bootable media that does not demand drivers? Is there a download from Microsoft which will create a bootable usb media that does not have the drivers? I know that I can reinstall the drivers manually after the installation.

    Thank you

  • Can I create a recovery bootable USB through disk utility?

My HARD drive is dying, I can't access my Macintosh HD partition anymore and I can't reinstall OS because I SMART errors. Before the format and reinstall the attempt to load slow my computer, random errors, etc. So I definitely think that the HARD drive is near death. My plan is to replace my HDD for a Virgin SSD, I perform this task several times on computers of the victory but for MAC, I wonder how I will load the new OS. Can I make a bootable USB with the recovery partition, but on a USB key tools? Unofrtunately I have more available Mac to create the USB bootable through itunes.

My computer is the MacBook Pro (13-inch mid 2010), I have also all original packaging somewhere, if there is a CD that I can use, I certainly can get too.

    Any advice?

    Thank you!

Apple have this to do a USB installation...

Create an installer for OS X - Apple support bootable

Another option is to use the diskmakerx.com application

You must have the OS installer downloaded to make these methods of work is probably not practice on your failed drive.

Both of these options are to run a 'normal' operating system too. The recovery partition is not 'normal '.

Another option is to use the Internet recovery mode if your Mac supports...

Computers that can be upgraded to use OS X Internet Recovery - Apple Support

On macOS recovery - Apple Support

Use wired ethernet for best results, since it will download a bootable OS & then download the installer of the OS also.

I suspect you have the update of the firmware installed to add this feature if it has been updated over the last 3 years

You may be able to generate a score of alternative recovery to another disk (such as a USB key) If you want to just "compensation of base OS.

OS X: on Recovery Disk Wizard - Apple Support

A last solution would be to clone your drive failing on an external drive (or use the new SSD in a proper case). That can be done in the modes of recovery via disk utility. Basically, you use a feature to "restore" to clone one volume to another. (I don't see clear instructions for the moment so ask if you want to pursue this option).
