  I am creating a disc from a hard disk image. I want to save the image on a Synology DS414 network share.

  384 MB is nowadays is no longer considered to be a file of "big."

  You don't mention how much space is actually available on the Synology but for arguments sake, we will assume that more than 60 GB of space is available.

  So in theory it should be possible to create a disk image of 60 GB (no doubt), there is enough space available. As you say there is no set of storage quotas and I'm happy to believe that. I think that the issue could be more to do with the maximum allowed size of the file, remember that I mentioned that 384 is actually not much, although some systems have a limit of 4 GB for a single file, for example FAT32 file systems have such a limit. In theory the FAT32 limit should not apply here because almost all including Synology NAS servers actually use Linux as the underlying software and so use Ext3 or Ext4 as file system, not FAT32. Same Ext2 a fortiori Ext3 or Ext4 allowing individuals will produce up to 2 TB of size which is clearly much larger than 60 GB.

  Still it could be related to that question even if it is necessary as an unnecessary and artificial limit may be for example to ensure compatible with other systems using FAT32.

  If you have enough space on the Mac, you could create and try to copy on the Synology, however another approach which is probably better all around is to create a "sparsebundle disk image. It's a disc image, but another type and will work around this problem because it is in fact made up of lots of all small files attached together. As that user do you see this as image a big drive, but the computer sees it as a folder full of files much smaller.

  Basically you put your 8 png in a single document in the form of layers and then go to file > save for Web.

  The lower layer is the first image and the top layer of most is the last image.

  Choose Gif, check Animate and set the Frame Delay and looping options.

  You can preview the result before the Save in your browser by pressing the Preview button.

I am the IT here and am in charge of the installation of all programs, so students use easy installation allows.   If you really want to have a function, you have the choice of using submodels (RTF or XSL)

Then, I use either a collection of smart to find the photo I want to and can not find the photos, I don't want and export all in the smart collection. or I use a Collection of post Smart, even once allows me to select only the pictures I want and not those I want.

  Of course you manually uncheck items you want to export, which work as well.

  I just did some comparisons between PSE6 and PSE10.

  It seems that PSE10 is really more flexible, so I advise to download a trial version of PSE10.

  Here's what I found.

  In an album of test containing various media, I've included several batteries of various media. Of course, you see only the image "up the stack" of each pile. I was able to display items in a stack or hide them at will. I might decide to different media already in the album of the cell or desempilement them. I could order each visible thumbnail, be it a simple media or a stack, drag - move in the main panel. So I think it's maybe the tool you expect for your purpose: you place your order within the album, stacking/unstacking in the album.

  That said, I saw major problems when you are in the folder and the media in a stack are not in the same folder. I would work only in the thumbnail view.
