HP Envy 5530 scans more wireless network home but does not print

Love my 5530 desire!

Through our wireless network, it will scan at anything, but it only prints my smartphone and iMac. It will not print laptop Packard Bell with Windows 8 (although it will scan to it).

Tried to re-install the drivers on the computer laptop etc etc, but, although printer printed initially - it has stopped after a month or two. Are there problems of network with Windows 8?

Any ideas?

Hello
Try following the steps below and check if this can help:
-Open the HP software by clicking on the HP Envy 5530 icon in the desktop or the Start Menu, and then click on the link to the Home Page of the printer (EWS).
-Click on the network tab.
-According to the model of your printer, click Network, click Network (IP) address or click IPv4 in the active network connection type.
-Manuel IP-click and then click on suggest a manual IP address. An IP address manually, the subnet mask and default gateway shows.
* Be sure to take note of the IP address and confirm the changes, and then close the EWS page.
-Click the icon of 5530 desire within the desktop or the Start Menu and click the utilities tab, and then click Update IP address.
-Type the IP address that is configured manually, click on save and confirm.
-Open the control panel and go to devices and printers.
-Right click on the HP Envy 5530 icon and select printer properties.
-Open the Ports tab.
-Click on the button Add Port, select Standard TCP/IP and click New Port.
-Follow the procedure by typing the IP address that is configured manually and confirm the changes.

Now try printing and check if the problem solved.

Kind regards

  • 8600 visible on the network, but does not print wireless

I can see the 8600 on my airport network, but does not display the work sent wireless (no error msg, stay in the queue). To print correctly if the USB cable is connected. Also see a separate network of 8600, but do not have a WEP key for it and don't see how to create one, so it won't let me join this network. Don't see any info on this in your pages and support forums.

It was a very good question. I looked at my list of printer and there are 2 8600 s that are listed.  I think we could be active when the printer is connected via the cable and one for when it is wireless. I went by default and had no trouble in a wireless printing sheet.  It is probably a mistake on my part of the user, but I don't remember adding a second printer in the menu printing. I'll play around with it and remove an if it is not necessary. Thanks for your help.

    Printer does not print.

    How can I fix?

    Hi @AnnisMonadjem,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I understand that you are unable to print to your printer HP Officejet Pro 8600. I'd be happy to help you and don't forget to come back to this thread and check "Accept as Solution", if I have successfully helped solve you the problem. If you want to say 'Thank you' to my effort to help, click on the "thumbs up" to give me a Kudos.

When you say 'LAN', are you referring to the network or you try to share the printer on the network?

How is the printer connected? (Ethernet/WiFi)

If you have noticed that the port is causing problems, please download and run the print and Scan doctor, it will be probably diagnose and fix the problem you are experiencing.

What were the results when you ran the Print and Scan Doctor? (she print or scan, error messages)

HP has several Officejet Pro 8600 series.

What is the name and the product number of your printer? How can I find my model number or product number?

    • Update the firmware of the printer.
    • Don't hide the SSID (network name).
    • What type of encryption are you helping? HP recommends WPA and WPA2.
    • You have a double router broadband? Make sure that the two groups were not the same network name.

If the problem persists, you may encounter an IP address conflict. It's a good idea to assign the printer a static IP address outside your DHCP range. For example, some routers default DHCP is located between 192.168.0.100 to 192.168.0.200. So, I would use 192.168.0.232.

To assign the static IP address, use the following steps as a guide.

    • Print a Page of Network Configuration menu of the printer front panel. Note the IP printer. IPV4 address
    • Type the IP address in the browser to bring up the SAP.
    • Choose the network tab, then wireless on the left side, and then select the IPv4 tab.
    • Select Manual IP.
    • Enter your IP address manual (192.168.0.232)
    • Enter 255.255.255.0 for the subnet mask, except if it is different.
    • Enter the IP address of your router that sits on the Network Configuration Page) for the default gateway.
    • Please, click on manual DNS server. For the preferred DNS Server Manual please enter 8.8.8.8 and the Alternate DNS Server Manual, please enter 8.8.4.4.
    • Click on apply.
    • Restart the router, the printer and the computer.
    • Test printing and scanning.

If the problem persists, download and run this patch rollup: resolving printing issues in Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2

    • Try printing and scanning.

In addition, if you are still having problems try the steps in this guide, HP printers - "offline" Status Message printer (Windows 7).

Continue on, if the problem persists.

  • Network printer installs and shows also ready to print but does not print.

I tried these last days get my network printer after getting a new laptop from work. I have the printer connected to my desktop running vista 32 home, my laptop running windows 7 Home premium 64-bit. I can detect the printer when you add a network printer, very well, I installed without error, the printer indicates as being ready to print.

When I try to print a test page, I get an error saying that the test page does not print, and returns me to the resolution of the problems... that found no problems. I'm able to share files between two thin computers and the printer works fine from the office and by other computers on the network.

I tried to uninstall the printer and reinstalled, I've updated the drivers of HP, restart both computers. I have read other forums that suggest you add as a local printer, however, I put the name of exact port showed when detected as a network printer, and it does not find anything.

I am really struggling to find a solution and I really need to be able to print from my laptop, so any help would be much appreciated.

    Thank you

    Hello

As you say that you are not able to print the Test Page, it seems that the printer is not connecting to laptop with Windows 7. You may need to reinstall the printer and try to add ports manually during the installation.

With the help of Windows Vista (32-bit) on a HP Pavilion desktop computer. No error message. No text appears in Wordpad.

    Thank you.

The scanner does excellent analysis of images. The options that he has had were paint, printer, E-mail, Photoimpression 4, HP Photosmart Essential 2.01, copy to the Clipboard, Wordpad and save to file. I tried to copy to the Clipboard, Wordpad and save a file without success.

I have now acquired Readiris Pro 11 and that solved the problem. I can now deal with OCR on a text image scanned with the results that I want... to editable text.

Thanks for trying. I don't know what was wrong with the original OEM software, but the problem is now resolved.

  • New wireless brother MFC-495 does not print Windows XP laptop

Similar to other issues but quite different:

1 installed the printer on the desktop that does not have wireless using the USB port.  Prints.

2nd software installed on my laptop wireless.  I can see the printer in the Printers folder, it says ready, but will not be printed.  Printer has been implemented with the SSID, etc. and has even an indicator that it's getting the wireless signal.  I know that the laptop is wireless or I would not be writing from it now.

How do I get my laptop and printer to really talk to each other?  BTW, my wireless router works fine from my phone runs Android on it.  Power doesn't have to be on the desktop for this.

I really don't want the computers on the network since I will be out of the office, but so far the system made me do in my attempts to get the printer to print wireless.

    Rose

I have all the IP addresses, but rather would not provide them.  Had problems with the protection of privacy on several fronts recently.

When I go to printers and faxes, I have several printers 'shared' here.  Probably because I installed the drivers for the printer on the desktop and laptop.  Regardless, none of the printers to print from the laptop from the desktop computer.  The port on one is "roselaptop": Port TCP/IP Standard.  The other is COM4: serial port.  I have 2 computers on a network as a network home and figured that should solve the problem.  The laptop is the "residential gateway" in the network set up.  Looks like I should be able to add this wireless printer to the network.  It's playback a signal very well.

I'll try to disconnect the USB cable from the desktop computer and see what happens.

Thank you for all your detailed descriptions that have helped me!

    Rose

You are currently too caveats regarding the IP addresses, but may help the following:

When you have a router, the ONLY IP address that is "seen" by the rest of the Internet is one assigned to your router by your ISP.  The router assigns IP addresses to the devices to the 'internal' - your LAN - that's why they are called "private" IP addresses  There are three blocks of these private IP addresses: 10.0.0.0 - 10.255.255.255; 172.16.0.0 - 172.31.255.255; and 192.168.0.0 - 192.168.255.255.  Almost every router uses the third block (which has the smallest number of possible addresses).  And almost every default router uses is 192.168.0.0 - 192.168.0.255 or 192.168.1.0 - 192.168.1.255.

Regardless a block of IP addresses used by your router, it is important that all devices are on the same subnet.  For example, if the default gateway (which is the local IP address of the router) is 192.168.1.1, then your computer AND the printer must have the form 192.168.1.x IP addresses.  If your default gateway is 192.168.0.1, then others should be 192.168.0.x.

The difference between a shared printer and a network printer, the shared printer is a "resource" of a computer that is connected to the network.  In order to access a shared resource (if it is a file on the hard disk of the computer, or a printer attached to the computer by a cable of USB, series or parallel), the computer that "owns" the resource must be turned on and connected to the network.

In your original post, you said that you had a wireless router.  This is the typical way that specific set up networks.  It is inconsistent, however, describing your laptop as the residential gateway.  Maybe say you you see an icon called "Residential gateway" laptop "My Network Places."  If so, this icon represents your router.

Your description of the ports is also confused.  Usually, when you configure a port for the printer, the port name is the name you give to the printer - not the laptop.  But what is important here is that the IP address displayed on the screen 'Set up the Port' for the port of "TCP/IP Standard" that the printer uses (the one with the box), must be the same as the IP address assigned to the printer (which you find in print 'report Network Configuration' from the control panel of the printer).

  • LaserJet MFP M127fw Pro: Scanning but does not print: print jobs that are just sitting in the queue

I tried several fixes and nothing has worked.

Uninstalling the software and printer and reinstalled from scratch.  Can see and scan, but never leave print jobs queue on the laptop

HP Print ran and doctor Scan.  Could not get out print job, it becomes its own test in-house printer print

I use wireless.  I tried as well to turn off wireless and use the wire and still get the same results.

    Hello

I think you need to delete the queue. For Windows, try it please:

Hold down the Windows key and press R.
from the run window, type services.msc and press to enter.
If the computer asks you to Admin, you have to accept that,
regarder watch down to the print spooler service, right-click and select Properties
    Click the Stop button,
    Go to C:\Windows\System32\Spool\printers or C:\Windows\System\Spool\printers
delete the job inside this folder
    restart the machine.

  • OfficeJet J6450 - printer connects wireless but does not print job cable modem replacement

Material: My printer is an OfficeJet J6450. I am running Windows Vista, current update.

Probably triggering the event: I replaced my modem docsis 3.0 with a doscis 2.0 modem. PSI has remained the same. All other software and firewall remained the same.

Dysfunction: After the replacement of cable modem, I found that I could print is no longer in my HP OfficeJet 6450. I would get an error in the printer window ' error - print. "  After the reboot after the publication of the initial error, I would get the error "error - sent to the printer.

    What I did:

As a first step, I've uninstalled and reinstalled the HP software for the printer (complete package with exception of PhotoSmart and HP customer monitoring program).

Use the connection for the network printer wizard, I entered the router password wireless to the printer. At first I don't have a connection. Then I rebooted the computer and the printer. I also returned to the default setting of network on the printer and repeated the configuration of the network. The connection was finally successful.

The automatic test of the network page and the network printer wizard confirms the connection. Digital display of the printer and the HP diagnostic utility has also confirmed the connection. But the diagnostic utility is unable to print a test page and throw an error - "Print Test failed.

The result disappointing:  I still can't anything to print wireless.

... Thanks in advance for your suggestions to get my printer back on...

Go to start > Control Panel > printers and delete all instances of the printer.

    Then re-add the printer:

    1. make sure the printer is on and connected to your network. Verify that you can access the printer's internal web page by accessing its IP address before continuing.  Get IP address of a Test of Netowork wireless on the front of the printer (usually in the network menu).

    8. If prompted, use the driver that is currently installed.
    9. He will ask the name of the printer - enter a new name or use the one existing. This will be the name of the printer that you select from other applications.
    10. we may ask you to share the printer. Choose No.
    11. the printing area of Test Page is displayed. Go ahead and print it out.

  • MP560 on a Mac OS x networking with Windows 7, recognizes the network but does not print text

I have a Canon Pixma MP560 connected to a MacBook Pro with OS 10.9.5 which is wire connected to the network via a modem from Time Warner Arris TG862 to a Dell Latitude E6410 laptop computer and a desktop computer, Lenovo, which have two Windows 7. The printer is the USB cable connected to the MacBook and works very well. On the Mac in System Preferences > sharing, printer sharing is enabled, the MP560 put highlight and users > 'everyone can print. " and the system of preferences > printers, Scanners & "share this printer on the network" is selected. On the Lenovo and Dell, I installed Hello, and both can 'see' the MP560 and file > print on both, the printer is recognized and activated. BUT she shoots a white sheet; the text is not printed. Obviously there is something that I did not, any box I've unchecked. I'd appreciate any ideas! Thank you.

A few days after posting here, I asked this question on another Canon Website and learned that in similar circumstances to mine described here, Canon recommends that the MP560 "be connected to your Windows computer then shared to your Macintosh', rather than, as in my case, saw the MP560 connected to the Mac and then sharing with Windows computers.
