I recently bought a new computer (eMachine ET1831-05) with Windows 7 installed at the factory.  I installed Outlook 2002.  My old computer died & I have been unable to export my calendar, contacts, etc., so I'll have to enter everything manually in my new.

When I save a calendar appointment is periodic (for example a birthday) I'm unable to open the appointment.  When I try, I get a message - cannot open this item.  The object is not valid. If I set an appointment that recurs not , everything works fine.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks in advance!

  • How can I make this EPS a solid object

Good so I a BPA to a map I'm trying to compensate for a way around. The only problem is the streets, and all the white areas are transparent. Only the black parts are vectors. So I'll try to do all the card a solid black color, including in the streets, so I can compensate for a way around this. Does anyone know how to do this?

    Thank you.

I'm not clear if you want to completely eliminate routes or simply to create a line of exit behind them.

To create a glimpse behind the road try to assign two strokes to the compound shape or compound path:

To eliminate the roads completely may take a bit of manual work. Here, I edited the 'overlap' paths, eliminating the white box.

The resulting shape could then be merged/expanded to create a simple path:

Your work is more complex, but the same concept applies. Many forms "land-locked" could easily deleted in the compound path.

  • How can I remove the white fringes around dark objects - Elements 10

Landscape photos in differential high contrast areas I get a white fringe. How can I REMOVE this?

    R_Kelly wrote:

This can happen with a photo that has been sharper.

I also found that the effect of the new "shake removal" is inclined to create similar artifacts.

Sharpening works around the edges to change the brightness of the darker and lighter side on the edge. Closer to the edge, the lighter side becomes even lighter, darker becomes darker. The limit on the Board now has a lot more visual contrast.

One way to thwart the "oversharpening" is to use a reverse action (blur).

The effect that can produce a similar action on the edges in the opposite direction, is the "Gaussian" filter blur. The same idea is also used with the method "high pass sharpening layer.

The problem with the "fuzzy" is that it removes the sharpening anywhere, and not only where the white objects are a problem.

The first idea is to use masks to limit the effect around the areas at issue.

The other idea is to use a "fuzzy" selective running only on the clear part of the edge.

To try this, select a test with details of file image and sharpen strongly to the visible white fringes.

    -duplicate your background.

-Apply the filter ' other > high pass with a radius of 1 to 3 and choose a like a soft light blending mode. (even more sharpening)

-reverse this layer: blur effect as with Gaussian blur.

-Stamp visible (create a new layer with the resulting effect)

-remove or hide the high pass layer

-set the new layer to "compete."

The result is that you always keep the original on the dark side of the edges, while sharpening effect by masking the effect on the lighter side.

Of course, using masks to apply the effect on the areas with problems is also to be considered.

When you type, the cursor jumps around.  How can I correct this situation?

It is a very common problem when users become familiar with a new laptop. Either your palm/wrist/cuff/bracelet is touching the touchpad as you type or the touch pad sensitivity is set too high and reacts to strong strikes.
    • Someone to watch you while you type to see if you accidentally touch touchpad of the notebook.
    • Go to the control panel mouse configuration and reduce the sensitivity of the touchpad.
    • Make sure you use the latest version of the driver from the manufacturer of the laptop for the touchpad and update if a new becomes available.
    • Disable the touchpad entirely in favor of a wireless laptop mouse.
As noted previously, this is a very common problem and users are usually completely unaware they do even when it is pointed out to them.

When a photo for example has a bright sky next to the dark object, using lights and shadows to reduce high contrast can cause a 'halo' or double-edge to appear. How can I avoid this?

From my experience, this isn't a problem that has a simple solution, such as moving a slider or a combination of the sliders in LR. It requires rather a major change in the technique, at the unit or in office. Some pros (I am not one) tire ALWAYS support HDR or this reason - better transition from highlights to shadows, then tweak the image with much less "heavy" necessary. Another popular technique is the luminosity masking and blending in PS. There is a ton of information on this topic (just do a search on Youtube), but it's not easy to learn or do, but it can eliminate this problem.

    Hello

    1. you receive an error message/code?

    2. is the question confined with Internet explore?

I suggest the following steps and check if it solves the problem.

Method 1: I suggest you put the computer in a clean boot state and check.

To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows XP by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

How to configure Windows XP to start in a "clean boot" State

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/310353

Note: After you perform a clean boot, follow these as to configure Windows to use a Normal startup state from the article above.

The Microsoft Safety Scanner is not a replacement for the use of antivirus software that offers continuous protection. For a real-time protection that helps you keep your home or small office PC against viruses, spyware and other malicious software, download Microsoft Security Essentials.

    3. click on 'Start', then click on 'run '.
    4. Type "SFC/scannow" (without the quotes) in the "Open" box, then click on 'OK '.

The sfc/scannow command. analyzes all protected system files and replaces incorrect versions with appropriate Microsoft versions.

  • Can I define the contour of an object to be on top / face and filling on the bottom / back?

Can I define the contour of an object to be on top / face and filling on the bottom / back?  I've asked this question before and told to go to the appearance and drag the background and outline around as if they were a layer, but this did not bring my race to the top of the image.  I did this wrong somehow, or is there another method?

I was just thinking ' didn't I said this the other day... ". "in any case...

This is an object with a dark gray line and a red fill. the race is in front of the filling. any random object that you draw will be the race before filling unless you tell her not to be. You can say that the race is forwards here because it extends also on each side of the framework encompassing:

Here, the situation is reversed. Note the appearance palette. You can fill is in the front because it now covers half of the race which extends inside the frame enclosing:

If this is not the behavior you're seeing, it's time to refer to the list of Jacob.

  • I think I have firefox 5 and can not find the orange button on the left, the menus or toolbars so what can do

I have a computer HP dv6-3225dx laptop running Windows 7 and Avast a/v.I think I have 5 ff but am not sure because I can't find the orange button mentioned in the video on start-up, I can find no navigation or toolbars. I've been a loyal user of ff since you first started the latest version of ff 3.6 and never had a pblm like that. I uninstalled Chrome because of this kind of hassle. I'm just an old non-techie who has not had time to re - learn what seems to be a bunch of esoteric stuff. Can you help pls. Email me I can not find my questions on this help page. TKS a lot.

Looks like the Navigation bar is what you have now. What happens when you press the Alt key? You see the Menu bar, at least temporarily until you press another button or click a mouse button. When this Menu bar is displayed, press the V button to open the view menu, and then move the slider on the toolbar and click on the menu bar menu item. The Menu bar should then stay open all the time and you won't need to deal with the orange Firefox button.
