Can I import bookmarks of IE of the Favorites folder

I had a problem that has corrupted IE10 and IE11 and they start is no longer. I tend to switch between IE and FF. I have an old set of bookmarks in FF, but would be updated the most recently used in Internet Explorer. I found them in a folder subfolders of c:\users\stuart\favourites\(lots), but if I import via FF using the option "to leave a browser", it doesn't matter nothing. The records I want are not html, they are records containing the url files.

Is it possible to delete my old set of FF bookmarks and import this game far FRO these records?

Thank you

Maybe this extension is able to access your IE Favorites.

  • I can't import bookmarks to Seamonkey being the only option shown on the screen "Import" in Firefox for Internet Explorer.

On my XP, the option screen 'import' shows IE and Netscape/Mozilla as choice; on this Windows 7 computer, the only option is IE. Back on does not help, and the Firefox installation went well.

You can export bookmarks in SeaMonkey to a HTML file and import this file into Firefox.

What version of SeaMonkey you referring?

    • Export Favorites to SeaMonkey to a file (bookmarks.html) HTML:
Bookmarks > Manage Bookmarks > Tools > Export

  • Try to update 3.6.28 to 27, the imported bookmarks, library displays all the files in the proper order, but 99% are not at all in the toolbar.

Jscher and Cor - el tried to help me a few years back, without success.
Try again to spend 3.6 (XP) to 27 (Win7).
3.6 has been exported as HTML file (also have json) and imported in 27.
The last time, I never "found" most of my favorites in 27 FF. Especially not the files.
This time, I tried the library view and it seems that everything is there, records, underwater, in order etc.
BUT... Unlike in 3.6.28, I still only see the contents of a folder in the pane on the right at the same time.

         I can't work like that.

THEN, maybe, I can access ALL my favorites another way (not via library)? Via a toolbar maybe?
But for some reason, the collection in the toolbar doesn't resemble loosely organized collection, I see in the library. Virtually no record and in the chaotic order. A lot of absent it appears. If the content of the library was reflected in the toolbar (using AIOS), I was good to go. Should I wait? What can I try?
    Thank you!!!

If the bookmark that should appear in the folder of Bookmarks Toolbar are not in this folder, but is perhaps in a second Bookmarks Toolbar folder in the folder Menu bookmarks then you can move (copy / paste) them yourself to the correct folder in the library.

  • Move the Favorites folder in the recovery file in internet explorer 9.

I recently had to do a system restore on my Envy17.   I can't move the Favorites file to the recovery file in Explorer 9.   The recovery file has been created from Explorer 7.  I tried the Explorer 9 import function, but it does not work.  The import function is looking for bookmark.htm file that does not appear to be exist in the recovery file.  Can someone help here?

Found a solution. Just use copy/paste to move files from the recovery to the Favorites folder Favorites folder. Sites Web de Microsoft never mentions this simple solution. Forums of HP's Support had the solution - search for 'Favorites '.

  • How to remove an item from the Favorites folder in the library?

I'm new to the movement and try to learn to use it.

In the library is the favorite named folder. I spilled some items in there (moved from content folders, transmitters of particles or generating things) that I would like to delete now.

I guess these things in the favorite folder are just aliases to the actual items, but I can't figure how to get rid of them.

Highlight an item in the Favorites folder and pressing the delete key do nothing. Command + del also does nothing. Control-click about to bring up any option decision Trash. Drag the item out of the folder and the desktop does nothing.

I also created a custom folder in the Favorites folder I want more, and I can't get rid of anyone.

Can someone tell me how you delete something in the Favorites folder you want is more in there?

    Tom B.

The content of favorites are in user/Library/Application Support / movement / favorites...

erase all the content - done.

    No, not very Apple like

    2. right click on a blank area in the folder and select "New-> text document. It will create a text file with the name of "new document texte.txt.

Rename this file and name the value "desktop (create shortcut). DeskLink'.»

  • Can I import bookmarks/favourites WITHOUT having reorganized them the way FF wants?

This question seems to be common to all browsers, but it of maddening to me and prevented me from browsers before changing, but I'm really tired of IE.

I have a lot of folders with bookmarks and in these folders are the other files with bookmarks. The records are in the order I want that they, as is their content. After you import, everything was in alphabetical order, and the entire structure became useless for me. Drag / drop a few hundred components individually are not what I want to do. Is it possible to import things exactly as they are? It would be a logical option for a feature like this?

  • My Opera bookmarks are not in the default folder. How can I import them?

I edited my browser bookmarks Opera some time ago, which resulted in the bookmarks.adr file that is used as the one I saved it which is in a different folder and not the default. I copied the folder by default, but Firefox does not see the bookmarks to import. How can I get around this?

Hello, since I am a user of Opera I can very well help you.

Open bookmarks in opera using Ctrl + Shift + B. Now, select the bookmark that you want to have in Firefox using the Ctrl key (if you want all the bookmarks, press Ctrl + A). Now right-click on any bookmark in the selection, in the shortcut menu, click file, and then select export as HTML. Now, save the file to any folder to love.

In Firefox, open the bookmark using Ctrl + Shift + B Manager. In the toolbar of the Manager, select "import and backup". In the drop-down list, choose Import HTML. Once in the Import Wizard, select "HTML file" and click Next. Find the file that you saved when you exported earlier Opera bookmarks.

    TESTED! WORKS GREAT!

  • removed from my drive hard to the factory settings but saved the FF record I can / how can I import bookmarks?

due to a virus or something that I had to wipe my computer to its factory settings, but before I did, I made a copy of the FF in my programs. is it possible to import my favorites folder? and how would I do it?

If you have saved the Firefox installation directory (default location C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\) you lost your bookmarks.

Bookmarks and other data from the user are stored in the profile folder, on Windows XP, it is normally located inside this folder - C:\Documents and Settings\ < Windows user/login name > \Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\

If you saved the profile folder, you can use the process in the article of the recovery of data from an old profile to copy the files to your current profile folder.

  • How can I import bookmarks Opera 25.0 in firefox?

I am moving 25.0 Opera for firefox, but can't move my favorites.

-It has no option in Opera to export bookmarks to HTML.

-In my Appdata folder the bokmarks are stored as Bookmarks.bak, and I don't know how to convert this file to HTML, so I can import it into firefox.

-If I choose "import bookmarks from other browsers' firefoxes bookmarks manager, I can choose between chrome and IE, but no Opera.

This is a backup copy of your bookmarks bar. The original must be simply called bookmarks without file extension.

Apparently, you can place these files in your profile Chrome folder and export bookmarks in Chrome.

  • I have synced my phone on my desk before wiping the desktop drive, now wish to import bookmarks in sync on the desktop. I tried to 'replace all data on the computer with my Sync data', but nothing happens. Please guide me through it.

All bookmarks are still on my mobile. I can see and access. When using the synchronization options, then clicking on the fact, absolutely nothing happens. The bookmarks are always on my mobile and not transferred to office.

    Hello!

I am trying to understand the workflow in detail. Let me explain quickly what is the right process:

    1. Sync your phone to your desktop (you already did that)
    2. Clean your computer (you already did that)
    3. Follow these steps in the newly installed Firefox https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/How%20to%20sync%20Firefox%20settings%20between%20computers?s=sync & r = 3 & as=s#w_what-if-im-not-near-my-first-computer

That of all, make sure you have the key to Firefox Sync in order to access your Firefox Sync account again. Do not create a new or if not you will remove the data from the server. If you have lost your key synchronization, you can get it from your phone by installing the add-on on your Android device: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/mobile/addon/aboutsynckey/

    I hope this helps you.
